TIPS
• If you live near a dollar store, all the supplies (minus the paint) can be found there for cheap!
• Do not use shaving cream with gels or moisturizers, they will add extra ingredients you don't want in your project.
• Try to remove all shaving cream from your project without smudging the paint.
• I found placing wet marbled projects outside in direct sunlight is the best way to completely dry them.
• Just about any type of paint can be used with this method.
• Place warped paper under heavy weights to flatten.
• Try a clear spray varnish to protect your artwork*: amzn.to/2RjuCix

I did this a couple of years ago with my 9 yo niece. I used alcohol inks. She had a blast trying out all kinds of stuff. I didnt know I could do this with acrylic paints, so now I have to try this again. TY

Shaving cream? Who came up with this? Wow! How cool!
In 6th grade our science teacher did this with everyone, using food coloring :). Each kid had a piece of paper and once we were done, we glued them onto our science journals and wrote our names on them with permanent marker. Everyone loved it and thought it was so cool.
These are sooo cute!
This works awesome on glossy paper too like photo paper

My kids will love this as much as me
Do you think that a galaxy pattern could be achieved using black paper and the appropriate colours?
Ooo! That could work, and you could flick the stars on top after you wipe the shaving cream off. If you try it, I'd love to see a pic!
O hh, I want to see that too.
@@geminiwonder867 I don't think so

this is amazing! thanks for sharing
This is so neat! I am inspired to try this and use the marbling to make jewelry. Thanks for sharing this video!
We did this in art class all the time! ❤️ But what we did was:
Step 1: Pour shaving cream on table.
Step 2: Add food coloring and mix gently (if you just mix it all together it will make one color).
Step 3: Take some regular or thick paper and press on the shaving cream.
Step 4: Remove paper and scrape left over cream off with a ruler.
Step 5: Let it air dry and it's ready to go home next art class!
We all did three pages, so there were three different tables with different colors, and we just added some more coloring when it started to mix! This is a way more simple way to do it, but the way you did it seemed a lot more efficient! Definitely one of my most favorite art projects to do 😋
+Bethany Stocker omg tysm,i will do this, tysm for the tip
+Arfan Hossain No problem 😋
;)
What age were u when ur school taught u this and which country were u in? Im just curious becos im 11 and next year im 12 (now is school holidays, school starts next year) but my school has not taught me this. Pls ans ty (im not gonna stalk u, no worries!)😂
@Bethany Stocker - thanks so much! I want to do a large piece and don't have a container large enough to hold the shaving cream. I'll try laying down sheets of wax paper on my kitchen island. If it seems I do need some sort of border at the edges perhaps I can form a large shallow container out of aluminum foil?
Thats so cool!
I love this diy !!!! 3
This is fun, thank you so much for the tutorial.
I’ve never done paper, but I just watched your using canvas as a cover and thought this would be a great way to decorate your canvases before using them for book binding
thank you this is very cool
THANKS for this awesome tutorial...the varieties you showed were lovely. I used this technique with my GRANDsons to decorate Ester eggs this year which yielded beautiful results PLUS the process was great fun! =D
