I just got to know your channel. I learned kettle stitch and french binding. I find this new hobby exquisite. It is cheap ( a total of $35 for both paper, thread, cardboard and tools), very fancy, but most importantly, it is one of the most profitable. I bought 2000 sheets of paper. Folding one in half gets me 4 pages. I have 8000 pages. For $35. A cheap shop next to me sells 120 pages long empty notebooks (which are exactly the same format as the ones I can bind myself for $2 each) : $100 would be necessary for me to get 8000 pages worth of them. I get to only spend ~1/3 of it. I love it. Thank you

To avoid the half punch on the end of the cover, move the cover up in the punch (don't line it up with the bottom of the punch). I use scrap paper to determine where I want the holes. When I get the holes where I want them, I mark on the punch where I started the paper, so I line it up properly.

@sealemon - I’m only 11yrs late, lol. But do you think having the inside covered with canvas cloth would be okay or damage the artwork? I’m trying to figure out a plastic that I can put on each image but that also won’t hurt the pic. I’m surprising my son with it for college grad so the images he has are definitely very important and special.

hey ive been following u for 11 yrs, seems like u r slowing down.. i remember when u had lil over 3000subs, anyway just wanted to give u 1very very very important video idea. since all my notebook stitching skill came from your videos(yes you were first teacher) please make a proper tutorial video about this topic.(u can also call it a request) 1. Grab a free PDF/EPUB from online > Print the book with horizontal left and right printing, and I also prefer printing on both sides of the page. This means that each A4 page will cover four pages of the book , basically booklet style printing > cut/process the printed pages properly > print a cover page > bind these all togather > create a hard cover > give finishing touches. (if u want, i can give you a book that i wrote.i mean if u cant find just tell me here)

My heat and bond always ruins my cloth. The fabric will be wrinkle free but the heat and bond has bumps from being folded and it ruins the fabric when i heat it on
