OP I have learned a lot by watchinig your videos. I now have a pretty good idea of how all the body parts fit together on old mustangs. Don't know how to weld myself or do sheet metal work and don't have a workshop BUT at least I have a good picture in my mind of how these old cars fit together. Never too old to learn. Am also very happy about how these old mustangs appeal to young guys in their 20's just as they appeal to us old baby boomers. Obvious that you put in a LOT of hours every week in your shop.

I came across your channel by accident! This is so fascinating to see how the car was originally put together! I always wondered how they got those panels together without the seam showing. Keep up the good work!

Nice work seeing how far involved the work is restoring. Have you ever considered using an industrial Spot Welder used in the motor vehicle trade. Far easier than mig welds and grinding. However mig welding use where required if Inverter Welder can’t get to areas.

I was lucky when i started doing body work the guy app with was able to teach me lead work. I repair several 1930 and 1940 auto with lead and silver sodier i think it was 70/30 % and used a waxed paddle to smooth the lead. Hammer and a file to shape. ONLY HAD TO WORRY ABOUT THE FUMES.They had such skill back then .

I have heard 2 lines of thought when replacing the quater panel- 1) car on a jig or 2) with it on the ground and suspension to support. Which one is stronger as as Ive heard the body can creek when driving around corners. What do you find is better. Love the videos of all your work

If you hit the molten lead with a wire brush, brushing across the area, you'll get the lead out quicker. Less heat over all is needed.

What do you use to fill the leaded seams when you’re done?
