Its even funnier because Alex actually made this show, and he puts up with being abused by Greg purely for comedy.
I assume he doesn’t just put up with it, it was probably his idea.
That goes to show how strong their friendship is that Greg can rip into him the way he does and they’re still mates

@@roamingcatholic first seasons were not nearly as brutal - it is pure craftsmanship developed over the years.
In an interview with Greg and Alex (I think it was the same in which Alex said the he specifically wanted Greg to be the Taskmaster) one of them mentioned that prior to the show, they didn't really know each other and that it took until series 5 or 6 for them to hang out outside of work.
Alex will forever be Little Alex Horne- even to his children.

Alan watching all this, KNOWING he was playing the same role, essentially, for QI and watching the enjoyment he was experiencing. Very heartwarming.

If I've heard correctly, Alex is about 6ft tall. Greg is about 6' 8".

I think the first minute of this is the only time Alex has seemed genuinely angry at something Greg has said. He looked like he was trying really hard to stay in character and not tell him off. His face at 0:07 is not the face of a servile Taskmaster's assistant 😬
And while Rachel has come up in Greg's introductions since, it's always been in the guise of her having a low opinion of him. That seems okay, but never the other way around.
@GolfhausYT I guess comedians must misjudge things occasionally. It looks like afterwards, he seemed a bit 'oh shit - went a bit far with that one'.
