- Here is an installation video for the Sickspeed Automatic Shift Knob adapter. This adapter can be used with ANY of our shift knobs but it shown today with our Black Pearl Knob. Forward all questions to sickspeedstore@gmail.com
Yes I just orded it a few days ago. Received it and it fits! Thank you for the information and help.
The threading on top of the adapter is 16X1.5mm
Exactly how universal is this product? what thread is used for the knob? Can other brand knobs be used with the adapter?
That is certainly something you can do with the right tools. You will need to shorten your overall shift lever. Start by removing your pushrod so that it doesn't get shortened too much. Cut down the overall lever to the height you are looking for. Replace the pushrod and shorten it so that you still have enough throw to function. Install the adapter kit and you are done.
can you use any kind of shift knob with the adapter? Or does it have to be a knob from sickspeed?
I figured I can cut the lower part of the knob where the cover is placed since I don't mind seeing the set screws. Other than that it should fit, right? Excuse me for all these questions.
should it work for a automatic Dodge dart 2016 ??
There are only a few millimeters of threaded stock at the top of the adapter so you likely wouldn't have enough room to secure your set screws.
Hi I tried looking at your shift knobs that will fit the black adapter. I cannot find any 16x1.5 thread 4" Back/Red Bubble shift knob. As I don't want the spear type shift knob.
www.sickspeed.com/product/redblack-4-bubble-shift-knob-16-x-15-rd-blk-bubble-4-16x15
SickspeedStore do you have a listing ing ebay or amazon?
While we do not currently have a listing on eBay or Amazon for the 16x1.5 red/black bubble all of our knobs are 16x1.5 but then an additional thread reducer is sent with the shift knob to change it. So even if you purchase a different size it will still be 16x1.5 and work with the adapter you will just not use the thread reducer provided with the shift knob.
stores.ebay.com/autostarsoutlet
It will but you will need to relocate your overdrive button.
The site is currently not done, but we are in the process of updating. You can buy from our fine vendor JADJLS on eBay.
The parts are still listed... I'm not sure why they aren't pulling up for you.
can it work with other brands shift knobs?
I want to order one of these, but I can't find one anywhere.
Im sure it can it fit my universal momo knob, right?
How does this work for any sickspeed knob if it has a 16x1.5mm threading at the top... all your shift knobs have 8,10, or 12x1.5mm threading.
Does anyone know if i can do this to my automatic 1992 acura integra da9 ls
Really like the idea but the knob looks like its mounted a bit too high for my liking. Don't want to risk getting it just yet.
If you set screws are low enough to the base of the knob it MIGHT work.
can this be put on any automatic shifter
will not fit on 2000 mustang. opening on adapter is to small to slide over the lever. Do you have an adapter that fits? feel like i wasted $40
Hey sickspeed will one of your adaptors fit my 89 f150 5 speed? I need help
Can a regular manual neo chrome knob from sickspeed be used in an 08 scion tc AT? My shifter doesnt have a button. So is it just a screw right on knob? Or would the threads not match?
would this work with an automatic car that has an over drive button on the shifter if I maybe wired the over drive to a toggle switch somewhere around the general area of the shifter??? Please respond.... I would probably get this if that would work!!!
You are correct. That will totally work.
PND
do you know if its possible to the shorten the shift lever so that the adapter and knob be mounted lower?
Hey I have another question.... How would this work on a 2000 automatic camaro that has the flat pin holding the original knob on, because there is no screw from the original so how would the new one fit on.... I bought the one on eBay that said it would work for a 2000 comaro, but will it really work?
will this fit on 2003 honda accord 4dr ex-l?
would this work with an automatic car that has an overdrive button on the shifter
could you please advise if this can be used for a automatic 2014 VW Beetle 1.8 T engine
With this adapter could u put a bubble shifter on it instead of the ball
why is this not sold on the sickspeed website?
was looking to get one of these for a 2016 Chevy Spark. the automatic knob doesn't have any screws or tabs to take it off, so there's that first...
If you have a non-threaded shift lever what you need is a UN2 and not a Auto Adapter.
thanks for the reply. i do not know whether it is threaded or bare, so i need to figure that out first.
These are currently out of stock .. should have more next week.
will this fit an 02 mistubishi eclipse? the shifter on it is tiny
How much for just the adapter?
Please add the link for the full kit to my ACCORD V6 4doors automatic 2009.
With "ball" / "rounded" chrome and a shining black.
Do you have also Carbon Fiber version?
And about "Type-R" engraved?
Congrats for the awesome product!
Please contact our customer service team at sickspeedstore@gmail.com
Considering a high performance modified car. Can I consider the knob kit as very precisely, super accurate for solid shifting in sport drive?
Yes.
Will this work on a 03 tacoma with the oblong type post?
Can you make a very deep thread in the shifter, so the adapter become insider as possible in the ball?
I would prefer much much more to have the shifter in a very low position.
Regards!
Guz
Unfortunately we have yet to bring that to the market. We are in the works with creating an adapter to work with down low shifters.
Will this adaptor work for a 2015 Honda Civic EX?
Yes!
I don't have access to an Integra locally to shoot a video, sorry.
do you guys have one that will fit my 2004 impala ls
hi i have a 1997 toyota tercel im trying to replace the automatic shift knob i brought a universal on from pepboys with plastic adapters its a pilot vertical knob its not fitting or am i not putting it in right it didn't come with instructions just says easy installation help would be great
Please contact our customer service team at sickspeedstore@gmail.com with this issue.
so when I buy one does it have to say automatic shift nob or can I use the Manaul ones
So long as the after market shift knob is threaded at 16x1.5 it will not matter if it is labeled "manual" or "automatic" you will be able to use it.
I have a 2013 scion frs (auto 😕) what would be needed to run your 6 inch curved extended shifter kit you have available? the car doesn't have a button or anything to switch through the gears.
You will just need an extension and shift knob in size 8x1.25.
would this fit a 2004 mitsubishi eclipse?
Hi, I need the inside sleeve piece. where can I get that?
It is available on eBay.
I have a pistol grip push button on my shifter. I purchased the piece that was reccomended by sickspeed for my model. Do I need the stick (from stock button) to get this to work?
+Alyssa Maylan you should be ok on it.
Will this work for my automatic 2014 Ford Fiesta Se that has the sport mode feature with the plus and minus on the shift knob? Or will it mean that I will lose the feature of being able to shift up and down?
If it is a push button automatic shift lever then yes.
Would this work on a 2007 Hyundai Tiburon GT?
quick question pretty sure youve heard it all, but i have a 04 celica automatic, push button ontop, and overdrive button on side, would this work on my car? and if so would buying those tall shift knobs fit on this too?
+OWG OxNANIxx17xO It should work, You wouldn't be able to use overdrive though.
Are you still selling these? All i'm seeing on Ebay, are the ones for Corvettes and Camaros. I really need this AT adapter for the shift knob with a push-button.
Will this work with a 2013 Honda Civic EX model? It's also automatic that has a push button on the side. How does it work? Don't you need to push the button on the side to shift? Please explain. Looking to purchase this.
Hello,
This adapter changes the push button to no longer be an actual button. Instead you would just need to push down on the actual shift knob to shift. And yes this will work for your Honda Civic.
I cant seem to find this knob i really want it!!!
this is gonna fit in a mustang 2000...?
Any tips on how to do this with an 2001 Saturn L300? I can't seem to figure out how to get it on and still be able to push down. The knob I got came with three adapters and none fit my gear shift.
Did you receive our automatic adapter or the UN2 adapter? Our auto adapter should not come with multiple adapters but instead set screws to fit onto whichever size shift lever. Email us at sickspeedstore@gmail.com if you purchased from us and we will look into it. Thank you.
I want to put a boot and a different shift knob onto my 2007 honda civic automatic... but im not sure if i can use any shifter that i desire on this adapter or use a boot either
am i correct?
You can use any boot so long as it fits over your shift lever but the shift knob will need to be threaded at 16x1.5 if you choose a different brand.
Will the suzuka series fit the adapter?
i have a 2004 Mitsubishi eclipse with a push button on the left side will this adapter work with it or not?
+Matt Mcgarty Yes sir, You will have no problems with that.
What is the thread size on the UN G2 automatic adapter for a 2001 mustang? It doesn't seem to appear anywhere on the product description. Thank you!
It is non-threaded like the UN2 and the threads are changed to 16x1.5 just like the UN2
what size are the threads for the adapter?
Will this fit an 02 mitsubishi eclipse?
Is there a particular part number for item that will fit the 2003 Audi A4.
No it will just be our normal auto adapter.

Compatible with a 95 Integra? If so, where can I buy it? Thanks!
Can this work with a 2002 lancer
It works on my honda accord 2016! But that thread tho! Too wide... Idk what knob will fit on this...?
16x1.5 or any of our brand shift knobs.
just take it to a show and get a grinded down so it will fit
does this work on a 2006 mustang?
do i need this even if my car doesnt have a button on the shift knob i have a 13 scion tc
If your Scion is a gated non threaded shift lever you will need a UN2 adapter if it has threads then you will just need to buy a shift knob with the correct thread pitch.
Are all the shift knobs you guys have universal with all adapters iam ordering on right now and I want the flower clear knob
Yes!
went to purchase one on your site but the only one that shows is polished. Do you happen to have black or plan to start producing black adapters?
www.ebay.com/itm/BLACK-ADAPTER-CONVERTOR-FOR-AUTO-AUTOMATIC-GEAR-SHIFTER-LEVER-SELECTOR-UN-A-/361059527591
on the website, the adapter only has a 370z option, will it work with a 350?
Yes it will work for the 350
This is specifically for automatics with a push-button.
Hi just wondering what is the thread pitch of this ??
16x1.5
+SickspeedStore
will this work on an unthreaded manual shift rod?
+Sergio Parras If it is manual then you won't need this piece. This is only for an automatic car.
Will it fit the original lever I have on my non threaded chevy silverado 2005 4.3?
it's manual btw
No, you will need our UN2 adapter. You can find it using the link below:

It will work on your Honda so long as its an automatic.
is there supposed to be a spring inside the adapter
No there is no spring.
Trying to fit a dragonball shift knob on my automatic challenger r/t, will this help it work?
No, but we do have one that will work for your automatic Challenger but also the Dragonball will need to be threaded at 16x1.5 to work with our adapters.
Contact us at sickspeedstore@gmail.com if you want to know more about the automatic adapter we have for you.
Joshua Barbosa Did your dragonball knob only come with like three threadings? None fit my lancer. Did you end up getting one?
need on for a honda civic 1992 which will be a good fit?
If it is a push button automatic yes.
Awesome video. I've read that there are issues with an 05-09 mustang... Does it work for a 2005?

Yes!
eBay or Amazon
Which adapter would you guys recommend for an automatic cobalt?
Hello,
If your Cobalt has a push button shifter we recommend the auto adapter shown in this video.
If your Cobalt is non-threaded/gated shifter you will need the UN2 adapter.
SickspeedStore what's the exact part in this video called? is it the AO1, the G32? or something else?
There is no exact part number on our website. It will just be called the auto adapter.
will it fit a 2006 jeep wrangler
IF it is an automatic push button shift knob then yes.
Hello, it is a stock original floor t handle shifter. It has a side button you push in with your thumb when you change gears. Is that what your talking about.
would this work in an automatic honda civic ex 1999?
Yes! Now 20% for Cyber Monday / Black Friday!

honda civic 06 automatic compatible?
Yes.
hey. i have a Nissan Juke 2013. will this work in my car? thanks.
This should work for your Nissan Juke if you have a push button on your shifter.
Thanks for the quick reply. I appreciate it.
I went to ur website looking to purchase one. Looking for a smaller one in length. Also, in black. I believe the thread size i need is 10x1.25 Can u recommend exactly which one i need to purchase. If u don't have one in black, that's fine.
If you have a manual Nissan you need thread size 10x1.25. If you have an automatic Nissan with the button on the shifter you will need this auto adapter with any shift knob threaded at 16x1.5. Here is a link to a black version of this adapter. www.ebay.com/itm/BLACK-ADAPTER-CONVERTOR-FOR-AUTO-AUTOMATIC-GEAR-SHIFTER-LEVER-SELECTOR-UN-B-/371147740891?hash=item566a2116db:g:3t0AAOSwawpXqRCZ
Perfect. Thanks.
This will work with any knob right?
+Sloth NeBula It will have slide ons, if your knob thread is too big you can out the extra piece on there and it will fit fine
i need one for an 05-09 mustang. Link please
