We are good to go. Our EEZ is covered. The navy needs to expand its capabilities from strictly gun vessels to missile capable vessels. We also need a submarine, at least 1 or 2 by 2030.
I understand the navy follows a series of short term, mid term and long term goals in regards to procurement, but times are changing the world is becoming more critical, geopolitics is becoming brutal and unpredictable.
Senegalese Navy just received its second missile armed OPV from Pirou France. If they can do it, then we can do better.
We also need an update on the Seaward defence boat 4&5 under construction at Naval Dockyard Limited

My brother, African countries have been exploited by the Imperialist Western Colonialist states for years. THE FIRST THING you need to do is to put aside all the fights and conflicts between your own people within your country and join forces as a single clenched fist as the entire Nigerian people against Imperialism and the colonialist Western States' system of exploitation. Nigeria is a country with very rich resources. If you can achieve unity within the country, you will soon reach the level of the countries you mentioned.

Buying a warship with no proper radar, missiles or guns. Why does Nigeria continue to be stupid? Radar, ships and ammunition are not hard to develop in Nigeria if there is political will. so why buy it from Turkey ?
