- Can you believe that I've used 5 computers in order to create these simulations?! My 3D model contains 16.000 objects and more than 300.000 constraints.

Let's start a conversation in the comments below about some interesting things that you have noticed in these simulations!
I hope these simulations will bring more earthquake awareness around the world and educate the general public about potential earthquake related hazards. I do also hope that my videos will inspire a younger generation of architects, engineers and scientists!

Welcome to the world’s largest and only 3D earthquake simulation channel on CZcams! My channel focuses on realistic 3D earthquake simulations of a variety of virtual structures and types of buildings from around the world. Some of my work has been featured by various international media news outlets and it has also been used by other large CZcams channels such as GeologyHub, GeoPop and CaSeismograph for educational purposes. This channel’s content has also been featured on the Curiosity Channel in a recent documentary called “Breakthrough: Forecasting the Big One”.
The simulations that I post serve an educational purpose and should be solely treated as such. We should not forget that earthquakes are real world events that can sometimes lead to loss of properties and lives.
The simulations were created in Blender 3D with the bullet constraints builder add-on by Kai Kostack.

all the collapses are scary but imagining the post-earthquake collapses... you think you made it but THEN
These simulations are stunning to see! I'd imagine a well-built structure can make it fine, but I now know how would a defect would actually effect a building... Sure, it may not be 100% accurate but it sure does show how just ONE defect can make a huge difference in earthquake engineering...
Scenario 4 looked like someone unzipping a building! That's so cool!
you're right! building collapses can look very differently. You never know which way the ground goes in an earthquake...
Well this is cool in general because this is the EarthquakeSim channel.
I was searching about the 1985 earthquake in Mexico and I found your channel, definitely is the best thing that I could found.
Thanks for making these videos!
Thank you so much for watching❤️
You should try to simulate a collapse that looks like one in a movie (like falling over almost fully intact and then completely disintegrating or something) just to show how unrealistic some movies can be lol
edit: The top of the skyscraper at 10:20 is a good example of what I'm trying to explain here
Has the simulation ever pancaked straight down?
partly.
This teaches me to either be in a tree or a car when there is an earthquake 😂
Yep!!! Definitely not in a building
Debris falling: Nuh uh
wow you're gaining subscribers fast, congrats on 33K!
Thank you so much! Always appreciate 😀
I'm glad I got the smaller office in the smaller building...
If you want to be safe during one of these in Taipei you gotta go to the 101 because ot have a mass damper
Correct. There was a documentary about this damper.
Could you do a scenario of a historic quake and show different MM Scale scenarious based on actual distances? For example, you can show MM III on a house say 100 miles away from the epicenter? And then MM IV on a house say 30 miles away, and then MM V on a house 15 miles away, etc.
love this
What magnitude quakes did you use in these scenarios?
Do you have any virtual jet fuel to see if it melts virtual steel beams? 🙃
Jokes aside... Seriously impressive work though mate! Watching these videos has inspired me to start using Blender for my skyscraper collapse simulations. My subject is a bit darker than earthquakes, but it's the perfect tool to demonstrate real life events using a physics simulation tool (and put some ridiculous theories to bed!). I was using Besiege which uses Unity Engine, but I've reached the limits of that software. So now I'm on the massively steep learning curve of teaching myself Blender but I expect to make some good progress with it!
:O
me:thinks of 9/11
Just asking, when are you gonna live stream you building a new project?
Nice 3d
You can try to make a video with the monument to the revolution
A question for making simulations:)
Whenever I press "Build FM" Blender doesn't respond. It never gets better, what should I do? There are 1.505 objects in the simulation. I have 8 GB Ram. How long do you think it should take to finish all of them or how long should I wait for Blender to respond?
Earthquake Sim: **SETS THE EATRHQUAKE LEVEL**
Tower: Kuru kuru kuru kuru 😂😂😂😂
How do you make these stuff? It’s really cool and I like it👍
I’ve created these models in Blender 3D and it usually takes me about 4 days to finish a simulation 😃 thanks for being part of this amazing community!
@@EarthquakeSim is there some kind of tool you use for the simulation or are you using only whatever internal physics engine blender has? because this stuff looks amazing
@@VoAviation i am using 2 different tools. A bullet constraints builder addon from Kai Kostack and strong motion database sets for earthquake information
@@EarthquakeSim So you're not using any kind of tools for the collapse itself, just tools for simulating an earthquake on the platform below?
7:01 TIMBERRRRRRRRRR!
0:33 Terremoto de 1974
This video is famous.
Happy annularity day!
I live in Turkey and encounter earthquakes all the time... :(
yep, I'm aware that it is a highly seismic zone... which region in Turkey?
@@EarthquakeSim Smyrna İZMİR
Well it seems to me that you’re better off living in the low rise building as it never failed !
1:07 Looks like the AFE Tower implosion in Germany
I want you to use Shindo.
You almost perfectly simulated the collapse of the Twin Towers with scenario 2.
🙂
@@EarthquakeSimsearch up 9/11.. it ain't a good thing
It was yesterday, now the middle of the night.
You video gool 👍
Is it Mexico earthquake?
Scenario 3 looked like the building was skinned
Yes ad plane flying
what software he uses to create these simulations?
yes
@@erin-gf8bq ?
game name?
This is what happened in mexico while the chile earthquake in 1960
Game name?
Noooo!!! Indonesia city Earthquake 😭😭😭

oK
Looks like the north towers collapse
They should be fine as long as you keep jet fuel away from them. I hear it’s now hot enough to melt steel beams
Metal doesn't need to be molten to lose it's strength.
Vitrual jet fuel can't melt virtual steel beams! But it can significanly weaken it! ☺
@@MRFLAPPYTREE That really needs to simulated so people can understand the dynamics of the collapse.
