  • Glass (2019) Twist Ending Revealed! How does this followup to Unbreakable (2000) and Split (2017) resolve the story of David Dunn / The Overseer (Bruce Willis), Elijah Price / Mr. Glass (Samuel L Jackson), and Kevin Crumb / The Horde (James MacAvoy)? Spoilers ahead! Erik Voss breaks down the ending of the Glass movie, and explains the truth of Dr. Ellie Staple (Sarah Paulson) and the mystery organization she represents. How does the Glass final scene tie in with the Unbreakable final scene, and the Split post-credit scene? What deeper meaning is director M. Night Shyamalan trying to say about comic books? Would Glass have been a better movie without a twist ending?

    David Dunn went out terribly
Kevin went out very abrupt considering Split made us believe not even shotguns can stop him
and Mr Glass was expected his death was coming since the first movie since he’s is fragile and that flashlight could’ve brutalized him.

This is strictly how I perceived the events leading up to his death. I know a lot of people weren't happy with how David went out, thought it was too easy to kill him, but this is how it makes sense to me:
Water is David's kryptonite, and he had just battled The Beast in the giant container of water trying to stay alive and focused so he could get out. While he was inside the tank, weakening every moment and using what he had left of his strength, he was not as strong as he would have been had they not ended up in the container of water. There's a moment in the film before it's revealed that the SWAT men are not there to help, where Joseph exclaims that his father is weak and needs help. The puddle was not an actual two-inch puddle. I'm not sure if you noticed but it was an extremely deep pothole in an earlier scene that got filled with water when David broke out of the container.

I liked the final twist. The fact the origanization exists and we find out at the end is a good mic drop to say this is all real, and there are others in the world. If we knew of the org early the rest of the story really didn't matter.

Someone said that the shamrock with three leaves is ordinary. Four is special and rare. I think that's why a secret organization trying to kill special people would use that symbol.

You didnt understand clover thing. Three-clovers are most regular ones as normal humans are, while four-clovers are rare same as superheroes would be... Three-cover is their symbol for normality... Call it also nazi ego...

I think they have a three leaf clover to represent the normality they try to regulate amongst humanity. The four leaf clover, a mutation in the plant, would represent the 'super heroes', which they try to quash

I thought the twist would be either 1) Dunn and Price were just two more personalities of Crumb...or...2) everyone in the hospital was a super hero under "treatment". That would have been epic, I think. I haven't seen this yet.

I loved how it was handled, I didn’t see any of that coming. I was really bummed out at first when they all died, but after I thought about it I realized that none of them were immortal. You could see how old Dunn and Elija were getting so you knew they were going to die, so it changed my thoughts on how I felt about that. I can’t wait to get the box set lol

I was fine with them dying. I think some people are so used to comic/super heroes NOT dying that they forget this movie is more grounded in out reality then a marvel or DC movie. They were just people with abilities. Look at Willis he was going after low level criminals for gods sake lol.

Ok I will bite. I don't think they should have done the reveal of the organization earlier. What the movie needed was closure in the form of an awakening. Yes the videos got out but they should have shown even in the end credits, a clip of people coming out in violent ways to give credit to the the organization's existence. That's all they should have done on that topic. They actually still can do something like that as web episodes they post to CZcams.
