What the writers did to Sugar Motta’s character was a waste. After she got introduced to us for the first time in the show, she barely had any scenes at all. Her character had potential but the writers just ignored that and moved on. To be honest, I liked Sugar Motta cuz she’s actually hilarious and got along with others as the show progressed.
That's what happened with a lot of characters in Glee, they are given solid introductions, only to eventually fade into the background and become glorified extras
It was also a direct middle finger to people with disabilities, that Sugar did a "self-diagnosis" of her Aspergers, which is also autism. if glee was rolling right now it will be canceled right a way.

I know of cases where the outed person is found either dead from suicide or has attempted suicide. So don't ever say someone "deserved to be outed" because nobody should ever have to suffer that pain
