I’ve never had any inaccuracies in the gps navigation. I believe it uses a combination of gps and tower triangulation since cell signals are typically stronger than gps signals, especially indoors or in a tunnel. Tower triangulation is probably more accurate than gps. The FCC uses ground triangulation to locate illegal radio signals. What’s wrong with the Apple maps app? Also once you try it on a computer you will see for yourself

The reason why people like Neil use an IPhone isn't because they're technologically impaired, it's probably because he's so busy that the extra functionality of android phones are useless to him since all he needs is calling, texting and twitter. I will say Ive owned both an android (Samsung s8/current device) and an iPhone (Iphone 6) and I will say that in comparison the iPhone feels a lot smoother not saying faster but smoother with not so laggy but rather friendly animations but the android on the other hand allows more choices and has many new creative ideas so all in all I enjoy both as they both have their pluses and minuses.
I work in IT. If the user is tech savvy and likes flexibility, give him an Android. If the user has very little knowledge on how technology works (simple minded), give him an iPhone.
Alex shotU exactly, an iPhone has a more simple and intuitive software design, but the Android has more options for customization; the truth is iOS users prefer simplicity and Android users prefer customability. I am an iOS user and I have a jailbroken device, I’d say I prefer the iPhone that’s jailbroken over an Android, because it allows for customability while maintaining the intuitive and simple design. Some people prefer Android’s design, and I prefer iOS, and that is perfectly fine.
I'm sorry, but as a qualified technician who has spent many years building, testing, and benchmarking these devices, I have to MASSIVELY disagree with Neil here, and here's why: a. the iOS operating system (the software) costs money on top of the phones hardware, whilst Android is TOTALLY 100% FREE (you pay for the hardware only, that's it) b. iPhone is not 'better' since there are hundreds of thousands of different Android models available. To say that one single mobile phone is better than the hundreds of thousands DIFFERENT AVAILABLE MODELS is an impossible assertion, which is why I'm surprised hearing it from this man. c. iPhone is VERY expensive because you have to pay for the operating system (whilst the Android software is free of charge). d. iPhone doesn't come with as MANY INFINITE different flavours as devices built for Android. e. The hardware really isn't anything special, it's okay, but not great; and certainly not worth the price. f. You cannot self-repair your own phone, and have to pay expensive fees for Apple repairs from Apple themselves. g. You cannot remove the battery (for privacy, or for repairs), nor can you often use other third-party products and headphones. I reckon he was paid to advertise this.

You can’t compare a phone “iPhone” to a operating system “android”. It’s not ethical to compare those two things it’s not rocket science it’s computer science. Personally, I own a iPhone 10s max and I slightly wish I got a galaxy note 9 instead because you get more features (such as the fingerprint scanner or a Micro SD card slot, Even a headphone jack) for less. People these days automatically assume that All android phones are worse because they are often much cheaper.
Blackops 362 Android is an open source OS and is free for smartphone companies to use. There are some licencing fees around certain apps I believe but the cost for these is miniscule in comparison to Apples cost to design, develop and update ios
JonnyD3ath For every micro transaction Apple gets a percentage of it. This is how they pay for there OS. The cost of the phone simply Dosent also count the cost of the OS. If this was true why would Apple still be updating phones from years ago? The App Store is massively profitable for Apple this alone is more than enough to fund there needs to design and maintain IOS. If you don’t believe me google it.
The high cost of apple means that Apple developers are the only people adding to the development of your iOS product the low cost of Android is because of open-source meaning you've got hundreds of thousands of people adding to the development of the Android OS. The Apple has more close limits just from its base design limits and philosophy but it costing more clearly does not equal it achieving more. Apple has its place in the market solely because people FEEL that is better based on assumption of specification rather than through any actual real testing. The average iPhone user pays for Hardware features that he will never ever use where is with an Android you can choose not to buy the features you won't use and save lots of money or you can choose to focus on the features you want to use more and pay for them and get them if you wish with an iPhone you're stuck with what you got and 90% of the iPhone users don't know how to use their phone and it just wasting money for features they're too ignorant to learn how to use but still want to brag that they've got them. iPhones are for people that are afraid to use the features in the phone and therefore don't know how much better the features are in an Android because users choose Androids and flashers and pretenders choose iPhones. don't get me wrong, the iphone is a fine product its just that most iphone users choose the iphone for asumptive reasons rather that paste on intelligent comparison.
He is a complete idiot. I can't stand this guy. He has a high IQ and he uses his intelligence for the only purpose of looking smart, which makes him a complete idiot.
Interview is from 2012 (I thought Neil looks a bit younger and lighter), so his Android remarks are very much out of date for today's phones. For those offended by Neil's "15 seconds" complaint... look, there's like a 10,000 things different about iPhone and Android that attract people to each platform, so don't get too defensive. Besides, 2012 Android phones were pretty different animals back in the day and most of the phones in peoples hands were probably not even running the current version of Android at the time. I've had an iPhone since '07, but I've seen Android evolve and, these days, I think both platforms are pretty much on par. I just am so used the the workflow of iOS that I find picking up someone's Android phone and trying to do simple things on it to be a little bit clumsy. Not bad, just not obvious.

Nah, I'd rather have my Android. The GPS/Maps sucks on Apple and so does the whole screen interaction with it.
I heard that iPhone doesn't even use GPS, it uses location triangulation based on proximity to com towers, that's why it's not very accurate.....
to be honest also, the Apple phones looked beautiful and sleek and cutting-edge many years ago, but now they just look kind of outdated and old-fashioned.
It has the same interface and layout as google maps does

Unfortunately, it's not really social pressure.
It's familiarity combined with convenience.
Buy a gift phone and know nothing about technology? IPhone
Buying a phone for yourself and know nothing about technology? IPhone
It's mostly because Apple was a household name since a generation or two ago, so because windows released their phones so late, almost nobody even remembered that their (shitty) phones exist
And people that know absolutely nothing about tech and have a disposable income will just buy an Iphone for ease of access, because they know that Apple only releases one phone and is known to be reputable.
The reason why people like Neil use an IPhone isn't because they're technologically impaired, it's probably because he's so busy that the extra functionality of android phones are useless to him since all he needs is calling, texting and twitter. (Maybe reading?) Basically, rich people buy Iphones because they do everything to avoid decision fatigue.

I had both also and I feel that the Android is way more intuitive
That is because Apple designs their own software aswell as hardware
@@JonnyD3ath I know and understand that is why Android is more open and iPhones are more smooth plus and minus to both.

I'm sorry, but as a qualified technician who has spent many years building, testing, and benchmarking these devices, I have to MASSIVELY disagree with Neil here, and here's why:
a. the iOS operating system (the software) costs money on top of the phones hardware, whilst Android is TOTALLY 100% FREE (you pay for the hardware only, that's it)
b. iPhone is not 'better' since there are hundreds of thousands of different Android models available.

Blackops 362 Apple have the added cost of designing and maintaining the OS aswell, a thing alot of people loose sight of
JonnyD3ath you don’t think that google charges the manufacturer company’s ?

But what about in Denver???
