      His job is my personal worst nightmare. Having to interview D grade actors who have no personality & are completely indiscernible from each other, who are there to promote a film or program you have never seen or heard of, or will ever watch. And he has to do this 5 days a week. He may get the occasional star who is a household name, but how often are they really engaging & thought provoking & simply entertaining? They are there for a purpose, to promote their product. they're presenting a completely artificial version of themselves, and are simply there to plug their product.
      So when a man of immense knowledge & education sits as the guest for the evening, it does not surprise me one iota that Stephen salivates at the prospect of interviewing someone of incredible intellect.

    I love Neil deGrasse Tyson, how he can flip from highly intelligent scientific discussion to regular speech and often is very funny. Cause you think of scientists as these guys who always speak in big words and are socially awkward but then when you see people like Tyson you go "no they're just people like everyone else" he also makes science very easy to understand and enjoyable. Fricken my favorite scientist, admire him so much

    I was actually in the middle of a Science Unit about Space as a Preschool teacher when it was announced that Pluto was not a planet anymore. Try explaining that to three and four year-olds... the best lesson from that experience was that people make mistakes, even very smart people. It is important to learn new things and share them. Also, when we have better tools, they help us to see and figure out amazing things. It’s fantastic to hear from Neil - what an outstanding teacher! 💫⭐️

    Instead of spending billions on a stupid wall, this White House should spend more money on education and scientific research. The greatest organization the US has made is NASA

    • @databanks
      @databanks Před 5 lety +1

      sadly, republicans really don't like science - after all, Mike Pence adamantly believes the world is only 6000 years old and the bible is the literal truth. If somehow NASA and the militarys budget got swapped, could you imagine the progress?

    • @dannyh8288
      @dannyh8288 Před 5 lety

      Why not a wall to keep the freeloaders out, then spend the money we save there on NASA.

    • @darkstorminc
      @darkstorminc Před 5 lety

      @@dannyh8288 because it wouldnt save any money. Between the cost of the wall, maintenance, corruption, and the extra payroll you arent saving anything. A great many come here legally and dont leave. Which isnt a crime unlike crossing the border illegally.

    • @darkstorminc
      @darkstorminc Před 5 lety

      Plus it doesnt help when we allowed businesses to bring in skilled low cost labor instead of hiring already trained American workers. At least the illegals will work the fields. A job which 90% of americans wont do.
