Looks amazing. Just remember it doesnât matter what we think itâs what your wife thinks. Lol.
Just enough
My wife's favorite color is purple and I honestly love all the purple you got going stuff is amazingly beautiful gonna look great all done together I love it man yall are killing it
I highly doubt itâs to much it can never be to much with the pearl white and that wow that truck is going to be amazing
Dollars for doughnuts I would have the leaf springs the same color as the truck to highlight the other pieces. It's my opinion and it may not be for everyone.
Wow!!!!! Wow!!!!! Sand blasting is incredible!! Wife Max is gonna look fantastic, even better when you hook to that sled in the truck pulls. Can't wait to see the finish product!! đđ
It's always nice to see people that take pride in their work and do it the right way
Great quality and High Grade; baking, sandblasting, on and on! My God man the Wifemax is going to be Hell On Wheels đ đđ€
Josh and Melanie, love the color and the subtle differences. The new and improved WifeMax is awesome! Fabulous project, can't wait for the reassembly to begin.
I'm a firm believer in less is more. Especially in 2 different powder coat colors. Subtle highlights of the purple color would really pop. I think it will still look fantastic. Excited to see the finished product.
Hello Josh and Melanie. Well let's see what the finished frame of the Wifemax will look like when it's done. And can't wait to see Melanie's reaction.
Damn I canât wait to see everything come together!!!! The colors are goin to be freaking amazing !!!
Oh yes đ
Used to be a duramax guy. Comin from an lml to an early 6.7, Iâm now a Ford guy. Also have just bought a 6.0 brand new stage 2 motor. Iâd love to see more powerstroke content/love.
For how nice this build is, I would make the s480 match the rest of it.
Itâs definitely not to late
My thoughts exactly
Purple rain, purple rain. Looks good
Itâs gonna look beautiful. Thanks for bringing the âI careâ back.
BYWâŠ. Down here in Florida working hurricane duty. I was wearing the TruckMaster sweatshirt the other dayâŠ..I stopped to fill up. A dude Yelled across the pumps Pointing at my sweatshirt âŠâ Thatâs a cool channelâ. Wanted to pass on the Props đ.
Definitely can't wait to see this all done.. wish I could have my blazer done like this..
I like to see you grow with each of your builds, want to come to Wisconsin and help me swap the frame on my 66 Impala? Lol
Keep up the great work!!
Thanks đ
Love you guys!! Please do a square body regular cab duramax. That's my dream build. Never forget!
Iâm definitely considering it
Josh that would be so fun
C30 all day. Donât disappoint me brother đ€đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Spot on ! Those fellows are pro's. What a great group of people.... that's a testimony to you and Mrs Truckmaster. You are both exceptional people and you walk with those who are in the same path.. that's a whole lot of words to say you have some great friends lol đ... This truck is rocking the wow factor each step of the way. The springs are going to look good. Just stay black on everything else... even the front and rear diff covers. If you ever add skid plates color match them to the body. The black wheels are going to really look sharp.
Suggestions for the future build you mentioned... Apache 3100...
Fun times ahead.
Solid advice I always appreciate the great feedback đ
Absolutely beautiful!!! Can't waite to see the final assembly.
What a cool shop owner
This was awesome I want to do this to my 1998 jeep zj 5.9 limited but with the unibody it's bit different then body on frame I might to start with a nice one from Arizona California but I'm Canada đšđŠ my 2018 Ram I oil đą that truck every year since the day it was made
I tthink you did it just right Josh, going to look amazing once it's all completed, keep up the good work sir!
Looking good. Canât wait to see it all done
Thanks đ
Love this content, So underrated ! This is great love it
I have an 87 c-10 if you're interested Josh. It needs some love and tlc and I don't have the time to build the truck. Had intended to do an LS motor and completely build it bottom up.
That truck is going to be a beast! You may need a 5" exhaust.
Thatâs not a bad idea
Best CZcamsr hands down!
Itâs means the world to hear this! Thanks Cody
I thing it mit be to much, but its still hard to tell. And if it is, I would do some of the leaf springs in white and purple. But great job Josh. Can't wait to drive buy one day and see it. Consider I only live 30ish mins away from you in lansing/diamondale
NEVER TOO MUCH PURPLE BRO!!!
Definitely the next level
I could see you getting away with a K20 with IFS short bedđ€.
K20DURAMAX badge⊠That would be a sweet, sweet build. All the perks of the newer drive train and the classic look of the 67-72 trucks. Just need to shift the mounts a little bit and massage the trans tunnel.
Jeff's powder coating in Monroe MI is a good place to go and close to home lol
I meant to ask about the tailgate, I noticed you didn't weld up the holes at the top, r u planning on putting a cap on it? Before painting it would have been slick to fill those holes, and the stake pockets....
ProMax did a great show quality job! And that S480âŠâŠDANG!!!! đ„ đ„đ„đ„
They nailed it đš
I think thatâs going to look really good with the pearl white! Excited to see the end result!
If I win the lottery Iâm having both of my GMC s (2004 & 2005) completely rebuilt with the Truck Masters help.
Looks good sweet paint work
It's going to look awesome I am just worried a little bit to that it might be to much purple but we all won't know until it's all put together to see what the final product is.
Josh, which mirrors did you put on the LBZ, I have an 05 lly need tow mirrors
Awesome đ video đž man
Stay blessed đ€đșđž
My wife absolutely loves her truck
I like all the purple myself. I thinks itâs gonna be a pretty awesome finished product
You ask if itâs too much violet but honestly I donât think we can give you a solid answer until we see it on the truck I think it will look great though
This project is much more important and better than the shorty build because it is for Mrs. Truck Master.
I totally agree this one will probably never leave the channel
Im so ready to see the finished truck!!!
Me to just waiting on an engine at this point
Would love to see a square body dmax build! Love the channel! Awesome work!
They did a beautiful job.
That frame is sweet, along with all of the other parts. Better than factory, in my opinion. I was a little disappointed when I bought my new 2022 Silverado to see that they still put the wax on the frame. Sure, it's a decent way of protecting the frame and covering every tiny spot, but I like the powder coating that Ram and Ford does.
I wish GM would get there act together
Love the charger
Iâd have to see it all together, but from seeing all the parts, I think it may be a little much purple. I think the driveshaft, axle, and leaf springs might all run together too much and be too choppy. But weâll have to see when itâs back together
I haft to ask how well does the powder coating hold up I have had multiple things that I bought powder coated and it has not held up very well at all especially on the edges my trailers mainly both powder coated from the factory and are not looking that good and my car trailer is only 1.5 - 2 years old just very disappointed in the coating on them and I have multiple truck frames to do just not sure if I want to por15 or powder coat the trucks get used like trucks and in the salt in the winter and I want something that's gonna hold up really well
Question I'm pondering is when will you install the purple shag carpet on the cab cieling?
Thatâs awesome guys!
How about an 80's square body 4x4 single cab long box Custom Deluxe
Manual windows n door locks n bench seat...I have the truck...its rough...located in NY, would love to rebuild it again, but after my parents passed along w my uncle(who was more like a 2nd dad, n my grand parents this 23 yr veteran let his truck sit n got a bit rough...(under statement)...., she used to be talk of small town n everywhere/everyone knew it was mine!). Currently has a carburetor 383 stroker under hood n built 700R4
Thereâs definitely never to much powder especially that illusion violet itâs going to look sick, I have shocker yellow and Iâm also doing illusion purple with it
Not too much Purple, it will all be offset by th3e black... The only issue I see is that the springs will rub/wear, and that may cause the powder coating to peel and flake on the springs. But DAMN its going to look good for a while!
It looks great guys... đđđ
Thanks
I would've left the rear leafs black personally. Still it all looks amazing đ
Thanks đ
Looks wonderful. To much purple for me
But it looks great
Thanks Chuck
truck coming together will look real good when put together
Thanks how and what do you need
Truck is going to look outstanding !
Everyones dream way to build a truck, wish i had the funds to do my 97 12v cummins, one day, awsome color by the way
I really appreciate it Abe
Looks so good, i would love to come out to your property someday to see your stuff and soak up some wisdom đ
I donât think heâs gonna be having random people over. Just sayin
Shouldâve done some teal along with the purple
Looks good they didnât have to use chrome powder coat then the purple or is that only candy looks great buddy
Thanks! They used zinc primer, after that the illusion then clear. It looked chrome at one point đ
What's the benefit to running that PPE rear diff cover vs a banks diff cover?
Fit that frame under a 72 blazer with a nicely optioned lbz
You could use the frame and find a c10 stepside with a Duramax that would be good
Definitely
@@TruckMaster everybody is all these shortbed or shortbed crewcab trucks all the time being the same old same old and be able to change it up and do a stepside . Old neighbor back home had a 86 custom deluxe stepside with a/c 4wd 4spd manual posi rear and front locks with a .30 over 305 and had 3:08 rears so still was 70-80mph drivable no problem . Everybody is copying everybody and it's boring but what you guys are doing is cool but a 74-87 regular cab stepside with a Duramax hell even a built manual 6spd with a southbend high torque clutch to handle the power that would be sweet . Love the videos keep doing what you do
As long as Mel thinks it looks good youâre safe âŠđđ. Me personally I think it will be just a tad over the top a bit , but will have to see it all assembled to fully judgeâŠ. Looking good though đđ
Do a square body crew on that frame
Ready to see it
đ
Overall niceđmaybe a little too much with the rear axel purple, if the axel was black with a purple cover it that would look good.
Very good point
Get a Chevy Blazer to put on the old wifemax Frame
The powder coat looked wet coming out the oven. I can't wait to see everything together. It's not to much violet
Much appreciated
The frame came out nice and why wouldnât she like it looks a lot better than paint or under coating.
90% of the frames we replace get powdercoated. Way better than wet spray or POR15 especially for the cost!
Gonna look sick buddy!
Thanks man
Smiling wife can be a really good thing. Iâm still thinking $150k. Better get some special insurance coverage. đđ
I think you should paint/powder coat all the hardware black like the U bolts, brake calipers, shackles, etc.. if there isn't some contrast it might look too Purple but either way it's your wife's truck so 'our' opinion isn't really a big factor
Thanks for the suggestion! I actually plan on doing that. đ
How come you needed to change the frame?
Love the wife max I believe it's my favorite truck on your channel now sorry truck master
Do you still have a promo code for dmaxstore
Beautiful beautiful!!!! I love it! I know your a duramax guy. But do you have any 7.3 international fords ?
I wish! I own a nice 6.0 Powerstroke though
@@TruckMaster thx for replying man!! I think after this project it would be cool to grab one for the channel! Love what you guys are doing! I love your channel
Looking good đ
It's ya'lls truck. I think it will look awesomeness
that a very nice color
I think it will look sweet
How much did all the sandblasting and powdercoating cost? Looks really good, and them guys arenât to far of a drive for me!
Call and ask...
I always think you guys do bad ass shit. I wish I wasnt in my driveway still doing work. Lol.
Great content, especially for us little guys.
Love it brother.
Thanks brother
@@TruckMaster I hope to do mine one day. I think the purple is absolutely awesome. I am a fellow Michigan guy myself and man rust is tough.
Great build.
I say you do a squarbody with that frame
I vote fusion violet on the turbo
Where the body of the Wifemax is white and the chassis is black, the rest of the under bits all being illusion violet will look SICK!
No not too much purple, great attention to detail....
Thanks
U bet... seriously jealous, would love to frame off my dmax.... this is gonna be sick.... keep it up
Itâs going to look good! Do you want to sell that frame?đ
đđ
Very cool....
Earl your not going to pull sleds with her truck that's how you broke it last time that's her rig lol.
Looks great but should have done some white parts as well, maybe even done the frame white and not black but looks good.
Itâs a tough call to go white on the frame but we definitely talked about it
@@TruckMaster one way or the other the truck will turn out great. You do amazing work so it will be a head turner that I know of. Looking forward seeing the next video
Looks great it will last forever if you keep out of the salt đđđđđđŻđŻ Nice
Letâs hope it never sees a winter
Throw a c10 on it. I have a 62 c10 and that is my goal with mine and would be cool to see how you do yours.
A 60âs model would be sweet
Yes sir! The older trucks deserve a duramax power plant just as much as the new ones
Not too much. This is for your wife.
if not a truck on the old frame perhaps an elcamino since it is half truck and half chevelle
C10 straight axle
