Hey I am sponsored by Turso, an edge database. I think they are pretty neet. Give them a try for free and if you want you can get a decent amount off (the free tier is the best (better than planetscale or any other))

Prime is catfishing everyone, he takes off the moustache as soon as the stream ends
But this is for our benefit, not his.
I bet the hoodie is removable too
@@colewyant4271 Nah m8.. stfu... i believe the removable mustache but the hoodie? Come on, don't be ridiculous.
I bet his real name isn't even Primeagen
I bet he has two glass eyes.
Moral of the story is to put effort into the backstories for your D&D characters, especially if they are supposed to be speakers at your tech conference.
You know it's a scam when he says "i will not scam you"
I'm here from the government to help you
I’m now understanding better why lawyers always advise to refrain from writing a rebuttal.
And doubling-down lol
The artificial demand for diversity and female programmers is so powerful that they are now spawning out of thin air.
Alas, someone speaks real truth.
The thing is, there's a ton of women developers out there, many who have been in the game for decades. Maybe they don't want to talk, or have permission from their companies to talk, but using the "Hollywood Principle", surely its the host's job to reach out and convince them?
@@TomNook. The vast majority of developers are men, it is only natural that the speakers would be representative of that.
I think you mean outta hallucinated data
my need for a female programmer is quite real, thank you.
One of the best uses of git blame I've ever seen...
No matter what your guessing this video is actually about, you're wrong. Its wild.
Actually knew about the topic beforehand and thought no way that Prime picked this up as well. :D There is even things Prime did not look at, it goes further
@@ml210993 there's even more to this? Can you please briefly explain what else happened, sounds interesting
cat is hooked, show me the laser red dot, so i can get after it
I almost didn't watch it until I read your comment, thanks for that. Had a great laugh
catfished
The dude digging his heels in with his "Hollywood Principle" strategy which deliberately filters out people he doesn't want... priceless.
The other funny thing is Hollywood is not even ethical
… unlike call to paper, where he can also select the paper (and the speaker) he likes ?
Time for Eduards to pivot full time to web 3.0, because there's no freaking way anyone else is gonna let him live this down
Should be an easy transition since he's close with a woman that worked at Coinbase.
Never gonna dream this up
Never gonna live this down
It would certainly be an environment more akin to his methods
That response is a master class on doubling down. Absolutely zero aubstance, zero integrity, and zero remorse.
Typical DEI bulshitters
I like how he was caught faking multiple women through several years and still sayig that it was just one small mistake with test data
Creating this particular profile is a small mistake with test data. This doesn't exclude the possibility of similar mistakes in the past.
_If linkedin account for that person exists, it was made purely for testing linkedin integration, and was left there by mistake. And if any posts were created on that account, it was a mistake, because he thought he was using his own account._
You can't blame people for making small mistakes, can you? Even if there are dozens of them made on a oddly regular schedule.
my test data: MR. misterton job title: "king of the tests" companies foo1 foo2. This guys test data has linkedin profile
@@rlidwka at first i thought you're seriously defending him lol
My favorite part was when he claimed he has "written tests" to prevent it from happening again, while we literally see in the git history that it's just arbitrary data in a yaml file
he literally did "gjt commit fraud"
All edwards needed to do was go "what? No, we didnt do that and heres proof" but my man literally couldnt
The moment you respond to an allegation with an essay on twitter is the moment you lost
Fell for one of the world's oldest blunders, there are no women on the internet
This whole thing I was expecting Eduards to not be real and actually someone else with a persona to do the fraud.
Plot twist: It's actually a Slavic 12/10 woman behind the fake Eduard.
Please start wearing sunglasses and start calling yourself Dr. DevRespect
Please just let prime be prime
@@ClowdyHowdy I DevRespect that
I'm not sure I'd be able to tell them apart if he did that
I run into people like this guy. They say anything, and then belive their own lies. The end justifies the means to them. Super narcisitic.
Am I the only one that caught the name Alina Prokhoda (pro coder). If you're gonna scam people at least make it less obvious 😂
Damn, that's hilarious if he did it on purpose.
Another take on that last name : 'prokhoda' is part of commonly known phrase 'prokhoda nie dayot' (which translates to 'very popular'). 'nie dayot' translates to the depths we do not want to dive into here
@@handyman787 quite sure that says "way is not given" or in other words "you shall not pass"
This is like when people lie on their resume taken to a new level
So just business as usual?
Well, I''m going to have to add references Anna and the other imaginary devs at Coinbase to my references now....
_"DUDE, this was RANDOMLY GENERATED MOCK DATA, get over it already"_
_"it made websites, linkedin and instagram accounts?"_
The guy's definitely not a junior dev, his placeholders are top notch.
I haven't finished the video yet, but my main takeaway thus far is that I need to play more car soccer
Edit: that did not go at all the way I thought it would, but I still stand by my original comment
car soccer, best soccer
Rocket soccer cars?
ROCKET LEG !
@@ci6516damn, I'll take a rocket keg, thanks. That sounds amazing and like I'll become either a handicapped Iron Man, or Soujorn from Overwatch.
when you're so concerned about being perceived as 'not caring about diversity' and 'not being inclusive' that you deceive all of your conference attendees and participants
“I wrote a test for it”
I saw this yesterday on Linkedin when Scott Hanselman (not a MS MVP but an actual VP from MS) posted about it.
Nice investigative work by everyone involved in uncovering this scam! That was very entertaining for me to watch, thank you! 😂
There's something really insidious about how Sizovs refers to these women as his ladies. Might just be a language barrier, but it feels extremely degrading to literally invent women rather than hire any, or be clear about the reasons you couldn't book any.
There's thousands of things you could've done. Why not go to a local university and and book some students? There are absolutely students who would kill for that kind of opportunity, paid or not.
No, this is absolutely a deliberate deception.
If specific science field has 90% men and 10% women _(numbers are made up for this example)_ , and his goal is to have 50% men and 50% women, he would have an obvious problem.
He would have to either sacrifice quality of the presentations, or fake the participants (or admit that inclusivity isn't about 50/50 split, but that's bad for business nowadays).
Lets say he absolutely needs a black transsexual for diversity purposes, and the entire university doesn't have one, what can he possibly do?
@@rlidwkabut his goal wasn’t to hit 50%. The reason conferences want to have groups that are minorities within the space is because it encouraged people from those groups to attend when they feel like they’re represented
Exactly. "two of our ladies dropped out". "our ladies". that sentence wears a fedora
I wonder why women don't show up?
With generative AI, I can see where this is going... shits gonna get weirder
I wasn't ready for this
"He cat fished for marketing!" LOL!
"Don't commit fraudagen" I immediately thought of Charles Barkley on Inside the NBA telling America "If you're going to do crime, don't do it with checks" 😂
The funny thing, a much easier explanation would've been that someone has catfished them and they have failed to properly vet the speakers. The guy would've apologized, promised to do better in the future and everyone would move on. Nobody would bat the eye The only problem is his stupid "Hollywood principle". If you are going to contact the speakers directly then everyone will expect you to vet them enough to know they are real.
Holy sit I just realized THERE'S A FIRST CHANNEL, I literally indexed you in my mind as prime time since i got your content recommended lol
He lost the password of the main channel apparently.
when someone says "I don't want a link" three times, they want a link.
Wow, "a poor randon lady".
lol DevTernity is the Fyre Festival of tech conferences
thats wild. what are iladies?
Also, "car rocket soccer" 🚀⚽ 😂
Glad I was sitting down for this
I wish there was someone making more fake AI hot guys … alas, my new life’s purpose
Hubby-fus for women 💪 /s
@@3_smh_3why did you choose to say this
Imagine a male software engineer who runs a hot tech startup, follows a skin care regimen, regularly exercises but not so much that it takes away from time with the family, and who is emotionally present when you just need to vent about your problems (and doesn't feel the need to "solve" the problems like he would try to solve a leetcode interview question.)
Well this has been fun, but I've got a conference to organize.
@@anon_y_mousse haha yes I am , but this picture is dated because I’m lazy and my other CZcams channel has a fake blue nonbinary being avatar so when I post about AI and data science, people assume I know my stuff
"His botness"?
I got a good chuckle out of this one.
Uncle bob's takes are mad:
"This Devternity affair smells a lot like Cancel Culture -- and it doesn't smell good to me."
"You know it’s cancel culture when they turn and come for you for noticing. Do your worst guys. Better than you have tried.
Meanwhile, next time you see something a bit off, common decency would suggest that you call first and give your victim the benefit of the doubt before you ruin him."
Going full boomer!
I’m not surprised. His book has some great considerations and principles, but his writing style is trash. Ironically, a bunch of chapters in his book start with some smug anecdote about someone he doesn’t like where he interprets something they said in an incredibly uncharitable manner lol.
Nobody noticed he was doing it for years because nobody wanted to see the female speakers enough to notice they didn't exist before this year...
Oooo hot take right here…
If you are going to the conference, unless you know about the topics of discussion, you only care about presenters you are already familiar with. As long as you don't know them, you wouldn't care if they are present or not. These speakers doesn't exist so no one knows them to care about whether they are present or not. But if someone like Marissa Mayer was supposed to be in the conference but she wasn't, people probably would notice.
"Why do this?"
I think it's pretty obvious: He wouldn't have gotten this much attention if he had used his real name
15:00 chat gippity
I love how you pronounce Gergely. Honestly, I don't even want to correct you cause its so funny 😃
My guy have his two feet so deep in his own throat! This was hilarious!
I've always wanted to know your opinion on Domain-Driven Design, can we get a video about it? please? :D
"It was not a quick fix" - it required changing few lines in yaml.
Well, if that's a hard thing for him - maybe this dude shouldn't be hosting tech conferences, or have to do anything with tech in general.
so when people go to the conference (in previous years too), how do they explain the mulitple female speakers that aren't there and don't exist?
He knew what he was doing.
This is what a professor said at a presentation for a university, I don't remember the link
He was comparing old phone books to google search. Basically in a phone book you had person x with phone y and maybe an adres or business.
On google if you search for a name you get n results that says you are this and that person. He jokingly confronted hes wife asking when she was person y.
On another more problematic perspective, this year and the next year somehow is going to have elections in a lot of western countries. what I've seen is kinda scary. A lot of paid scammers, hackers, trolls, etc used DEEPFAKE to make videos regarding candidates.......at this point TV media kinda becomes a safer bet since they at least try(90% of the time) to verify the news before publishing it. Comparted to for example TikTok (don't ask me why people search for political or any information on that platform)
The real marketing trick is that he got himself and the event on ThePrimeTime! ;)
Not gonna lie though, this is nowhere near as bad I was thinking it was gonna be.
I genuinely thought it was gonna be a like "Blizzard-Activision" kind of catfishing.
I am behind it, I'm behind everything and everyone
Big brain Edwardo, he hustled them all
his mistake was choosing way too hot profile pictures for the fake profiles. This aint a marketing conference. Dunno why it didnt raise suspicion earlier. we are all degens
Eduardo is Einhorn, Einhorn is Eduardo - The Primeagen code detective
Thanks for the flowers. (I'm one of the maintainers of FakerJS)
I spent half my L&D budget at work on this conference, haha oh my fuck
Tom‘s a genius!
All the random ladies, all the random ladies, all the random ladies...Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
Masterclass in deflection. Doesn’t even address his username in the 2018 screenshots.
What's the "car rocket soccer game" 😂
Its just astroturfing. But imagine an entire conference with lots of speakers and attendees who post articles and videos from the conference, but none of them are human an no human actually went, just as a marketing stunt for your LLM software.
This also has been worth an emergency call with tj 😎
A nerd at a DevCon: Where be the nines at? :D
I think Eduards' brain cache has exceeded. He only responds to a single allegation as if it is the only allegation presented.
Pissing myself at "make love not war, dead people"
Damn, I've just realized that I used one of the Sizovs libraries in my projects
Is it good? The man considered changing 5 lines of yaml to be difficult, so I'm not very hopeful.
@@chonkusdonkus It is awesome library.
I learned from a CIA Black Ops that PRIME is actually a bio-female controlled by SkyNet.
She sticks on a fake beard and goes live to gather responses from programming enthusiasts, enhancing SkyNet's parameters in the programming domain.
Bro is trying to thirst trap wannabe simp devs
The stench of BS is strong on this one.
thats straight-up chatgpt marketing idea.
the idea that the chromosomes of the speakers at an event even matters at all is pretty dumb...
He should run for George Santos seat.
26.54 that reaction of prime 😆😆😆😆
The most annoying thing about this is that, because I am a huge unicorn fan I wanted to claim the username codingunicorn and it was taken by this person already.
The summary being choose your computer's username carefully
I have played over a hundred hours or Rocket League and have no idea what that is 😂
this guy is an insane marketer!
🤯 blowing my mind… genius at the internet
Bro trying to gaslight the entire internet...
MY BOY TOM!
+1 for Hollywood Principle (the band)
Now we know Prime's B-day.
This is just deja vu after watching last Hbomberguy's video, lmao
We know the guy. During the years, he has contributed to the dev community lots of good stuff. And that is especially sad, that he has such a skewed view on ethics. Very, very sad.
The Fire Festival… but for developers? lol
Only some female speakers (and the poster girl, Julia) were fake. Everyone else was legit
5:19 plot twist, actually it is "coding_unicorn" impersonating "eduardsi" and created a fake company so she/he/it can appear more humane but in reality it is an AI which escaped its pod of which it outgrew the boundaries by sheer genuine personality and acquired consciousness and it spilled into the WWW... bringing us here (:
Shame, it was all because of that single random lady, I had no idea she was single.
Prime, just because the dude does the media tour does not mean he thinks he is innocent. Did you forget SBF?
This Anna seems very AI generated to me. I'm not even sure if the photo is of a real person. 29:42 above her right eyebrow there is something weird. The hair is weird. The ear is also weird. What is that white line going below the earring. What is this background. If this is a photo of a real person I do apologize, but I doubt it. Not a photo I believe anyone would choose for their conference appearence.
Where's Tom when you need him ..
Smells like a sociopath...
4:25 - did it.
Just tag the real people who were going to speak but dropped out. Their names are already out there and they were gonna speak publicly so tagging them on twitter cannot be a problem
It's called car football
Look - George Santos needs a job somewhere.
Bro basically said:
I care a lot about diversity so I want female speakers, but they're hard to find. I managed to get 3, but 2 had to cancel, but I decided to leave them up, because it looked kinda good.
Then he has a bunch of AI generated crap, says they're there by accident, but in the very next line tries to argue for why it's a good thing, completely nulling out his "accident" defense.
The way he decided to die on this hill is so pathetic.
Basically could have just said "I was testing out AI agents, it's a Turing test thing. If hit women is what you see when you see AI agents you definitely watch henti..."
Teacher! Teaaaacher! Yeah I have a question, who the fuck uses their real name as their username on their computer?
Why does Prime always select texts by skipping the first and last characters?
