Proud of the Islanders. I think that if Tampa had to play at the cap, the Isles would have won. Adding Kucherov and Stamkos at the deadline for free is just a back breaker for any team to overcome when their roster got better at the deadline too.
Not to mention if the Isles actually had Lee with them, that was a major loss

@@redtanbus took Tampa 7 games and won 1-0 with a short handed goal, be realistic. Tampa got lucky with Kuch injury, Bolts would not have Savard along with a couple other solids depth players with the cap.

Well no matter what they would've had Kuch and Stamkos. But the Kuch injury allowed them to resign guys in the offseason like Cireli and Sergachev and get Savard. Without those guys the islanders would've had a much better chance, but they had em so whatever.
Immensely disappointing end to a really fun season and incredibly engaging playoff. Hope to be back next year. In Lou and Trotz we trust.
