    It’s insane that they brought Keith Carter back

    • @AdamB34
      @AdamB34 Před 22 dny

      Not really. He got great production out of Breece Hall as the run game coordinator. Hall was 2nd in the nfl in total yards for rbs behind only Christian McCaffrey. The oline issues are a personnel issue, not a coaching issue

  • @Njbear7453

    Why didn’t we just bring in Tom Cable to be an offensive assistant/ assistant OL coach? The raiders and seahawks had solid OLines when he was there.

    I just don’t get how our Line could be nearly as bad as it’s been the last couple years with 3 new starters and a qb that knows how to run an NFL offense

    • @yvngxnightmare

      @@yvngxnightmare sure but we’ve added a lot of talented vets who know what they’re doing and they’re gonna be the ones playing not the coach, we’ve been destroyed by injuries and teams haven’t had to respect our qb for the last few seasons so with new personnel and a hopefully functional passing game it should make the OL look wayyy better, guess we’ll see though

      Have you paid attention to the Jets drafts? They don't draft the best linemen early in the draft. And if they do it's like one guy each year, and that only began since JD became GM. Becton was a bust, which made matters worse.
      3 new starters aren't going to cut it. Really need like 8 guys who can hold down the line; there's no starting-depth on the line.
      And this is the most important position in the game.

    • @JDJETS

      @@beefy1728 yeah I don’t agree we have alot of depth at Tackle, two vets and I have a lot of hope in Olu especially getting to learn from Tyron, plus Mitchell and Warren as young pieces who have game experience IOL depth isn’t great but we could still bring back McGovern and there’s a salary cap you can’t be stacked at every position, we’ll see what happens but this Line should be a lot better!

    This was a Jets Show Day to rehabilitate Carter. I didn’t hear anything that Carter said that would really persuade me he’s got this issue handled. Part of his explanation was he coaches hard and needs to change his message and tone. I doubt he will be able that because when a stressful situation comes he will revert back to his old style.

    We have one of the best rosters in the NFL but are still stuck with very questionable coaching on the offensive side. Why? I seriously doubt that Carter is willing or able to change his approach or his personality. Can’t comprehend why is wasn’t sent packing. Hackett is a different set of problems- he is only with the Jets due to his closeness with Rodgers.
    I have heard people say, “ doesn’t matter if he is poor, Rodgers
    will run the offense.”
    Fine! But what happens if Roger’s is injured? Are we then throwing in the towel like last year?
    I didn’t understand the decisions last year and even less now. Today we have excellent talent as far as players, so why are we left with subpar coaching on one side of the ball?

  • @acandela1294
    @acandela1294 Před 26 dny +2

    You're right. It is weird that this coach gets talked about so much and it's more than poor performance. Before Quincy broke out and when Mosley was coming off injury the LB coach wasn't grilled. Same with the TEs coach, in fact he's loved. But the fact that players tweet about Keith Carter specifically is weird. He must be at a very intense level. It's almost urban Meyer like. I hope this guy has changed his approach and doesn't ruin all this great talent the line posesses this year.

    This is the one glaring decision that I can’t justify when trying to defend Coach Saleh and JD. If JD left it up to coach, then I think coach dropped the ball. If it was JD‘s decision then obviously I think he did the same. You have to get rid of bad apples and that goes for players and coaches. but that being said if they have confidence in him for some reason, they’re with him every day so they know more than we do so I am in a wait-and-see mode right now. also, I must add that letting John Franklin Meyers go is a head scratcher for me🤔 go Jets

      You're aware that Keith Carter was hired by the Jets as the run game coordinator right? And last year under his coaching Breece Hall was 2nd in the nfl in total yards for rbs behind only Christian McCaffrey. Also, you seem to have forgotten that the Titans offense was more than just Derrick Henry as evidenced by the fact that in 2021 when he missed 9 games they still went 6-3 without him and still put up 136 rush yards per game in those 9 games. Also, in 2019 and 2020 Ryan Tannehill had monster seasons in Tennessee where he went 19-8 in 27 starts, made the pro bowl, had 55 tds to just 13 ints and led the entire nfl in passer rating. • @yvngxnightmare
      @yvngxnightmare Před 26 dny +1

      Carter’s coaching methods end of destroying players bodies during practices. That’s why the o line plays so terribly during games and is constantly getting injured. You’ll see it again this season when AVT, Tyron Smith, and Morgan Moses get injured

You referenced playing before and getting yelled at by coaches...i believe the difference is these guys are GROWN men, with families, not kids or college players. They dont respond to those types of coaches ideally....especially vets. Theres a reason so many players perfer playing for "player coaches" as opposed to disciplinarians. I think the perfect comp that you say you couldnt think of is Tom Coughlin. He changed his delivery, and coaching style in 2007 and it led to better relationships amongst his players. I think this is good for Carter and its good that Saleh stuck it out with him because clearly hes a good coach because those Titans olines ranked 2nd in yards and 4th in yards per play in his 5 years in Tennessee. If this works its gonna prove Saleh can develop staffs as well, already adding to Middleton, the DB coach, Dline coach, and Coach Brick. Saleh is gonna need his reapect when the season is over!!!!
