    Nice! Love the vid, the music actually was super zen for a quick afternoon coffee break from work to watch some tiny truck. As you mentioned in your unboxing though... what a miss to not make the inner fenders part of the kit on this thing! Your production quality/capture is boss but the truck lets you down when you can see through it!
    I guess Axial didn't do fenders until the 10.3 here so I can give element a pass, and they do offer them as optional parts, but would just be nice to see it g2g from factory.

    • @scalebuildersguild
      @scalebuildersguild  Před 4 lety +1

      You can print an adapter to make this work on an Axial SCX10II, it won't fit without a lot of engineering on a Gen8. Nearly any truck can be adapted in terms of a longer wheelbase. At 12.3" stock, just cut yourself some longer links to make up the .7" you're missing. Not difficult at all.

But in the conversion you definitely need patience. And buy 2 packs of the aluminum pivot balls not one pack as they say. The straight axle makes the trailrunner a beast. Eliminating wobble is nearly impossible at this scale. You'd have to seat your foams absolutely perfectly. Plus, when the footage is slowed, it really accentuates the movement. These tires are my preference for most trucks. I like the looks, coupled with performance.

    The thing is just ugly. You cant see through the windows...but you can see straight though the rest of the body. I’m always glad to see your videos though 👍🏼. I’m sure you will make this into something sweet. Glad you finally got to go outside!

    Can we get someone to film Matt filming his rigs? Dude is awesome at this. Great video Matt. Once again. #JOSHSMELLS

      Funny you should mention that, I was going to shoot a tutorial on how to shoot tiny trucks. Any interest?

      @@scalebuildersguild I'd watch that. I like making tiny truck videos, but mine are pretty mediocre. I know investing in better camera gear would help, but for now, I'm focused on making the best videos I can, with what I have.

    Yep, like everyone is saying, great video...but that truck is rather boring. Should come at least with inner fenders and a CLEAR body!

    • @scalebuildersguild
      @scalebuildersguild  Před 4 lety

      I can't see why it should be clear on an RTR, but agree on the inner fenders!

      I'd like to have the choice of my own color without having to buy an additional body...just elcheepo I guess.

    I would have bought that in a heart beat if it was a licensed body from Toyota and had inner fenders. Looks a little bit on the toyish side, not worth the price.

    • @scalebuildersguild
      @scalebuildersguild  Před 4 lety

      I rarely buy any RC for the body it comes with, but that's just me.

      Scale Builder's Guild I agree foolish to buy an rc because of the body

      I’m not one to waste a body I just bought off a ready to run, but that’s just me. I agree with half of what your saying, if that came as a kit roller, then I would be ok with it. Still a fan of your channel ❤️.

    This rig is so ugly nothing can help it. Ugh. Where is Josh and his talk of not scale enough. The proportions aren’t right. I have a 4Runner so I should know. Yuck.

    • @scalebuildersguild
      @scalebuildersguild  Před 4 lety

      Good thing it's not a licensed 4Runner then. They can only do so much before getting sued.
