It's not snowmobiling, and it's definitely not motocross. It's called snow biking, and it might be one of the coolest up-and-coming sports out there. The concept is fairly simple: take a regular motocross bike, slap on a snow mobile track and a front ski instead of wheels, and voilá...you've got a snow bike. To check out this new sport, pro freestyle motocross rider Ronnie Renner set out to test out the bike himself in some fresh Idaho powder. Needless to say, we think they're definitely onto the next big thing. Check out some top moments from their session!

Was looking up mountain biking in snow. Just learned of a machine I didn't know about. This is cool!
I've spent a few amazing hours riding this type of machine, and it was an absolute blast. For me it was more fun than riding in the dirt!
I was riding a Yamaha WR450 and it had plenty of power and tons of fun. The real beast however was the Husaberg 650.
If you get a chance to ride a snowbike like this, DO IT!!!

Its amazing how far these snow bike conversions have come along... I remember when they first came out, they were pathetic. But now it looks like they are very capable!

ive been an snowmobiler and motorcycle rider in ontario canada since ive been 6 yrs old. i sure wish these snowscross bikes would have been available during my riding years...they look completely amazing and so much fun to ride!!! for those of you who have a chance...dont miss out....go do it!!! i cant wait see where this new machine will go as they are perfected i always dreamed such a thing would get built! id ride this over a snowmobile anyday!!! but with a huge 2stroke engine instead...yeeeeeehaaaaaaaaw!!!

I have been riding one for few days. Appart from lack of power on straight uphills it's awesome stuff for deep snow. Also falling off to snow sucks whole new level so you rather keep power on constantly.

Burgdorf is a tiny town in the middle of the mountains with a hot springs! It's an awesome place! I went hunting there last summer! Really amazing!

I ride dirt bikes and was all stoked to try snowmobiles and I was pretty let down by how foreign they are and just heavy and not that much fun. I'm really excited to try the timbersleds. Everyone I talk to raves about them.
They are completely different animals compared to snowmobiles, way more fun.
