That bitterness remains palpable even many years later. Still, Joan recognized her own brilliance and decided to share her song and original guitar work with her legion of fans. Good on her, an amazingly talented lady.

A stellar rendition, indeed. But for me Baez still clearly reigns supreme. After all, when she sings you feel it was about HER love lost, HER staggering pain of loss, HER memories, HER unrequited love. Additionally, Baez's voice, technically and emotionally, is superior.
She doesn't have a great voice, but a good one that fits their music, which I really enjoy, perfectly. She has great personality and presence. Throw in the costumes and the fact that she's just beautiful, and you have a really nice presentation. I could watch and listen to their videos all day.
Well I’ve tried to convince myself it was an intentional “mistake”, as if she was trying to convey distance in both time and space. Can’t quite sell myself though. It’s an annoying distraction in an otherwise great song.
@@MariiaKlochko I read her bio on wikipedia today. Her father was a PhD in physics and a cousin is also a physicist. Even considering her interests were not the same, it seems unlikely for her to have not known what she was doing when she used that phrase. So I'll go with metaphor.
