They became so credible with their song writing. The lyrics were rauncgy and so progressed on from the pop idol time. So unlike the band before. And I went wild about their singer, Duncan. Loved him.
Ricochet is probably the best album Cheap Trick never recorded. I actually prefer Duncan's time, but most of the Les era albums are great. The boys had grown up, and Eric could actually write songs, now that Tam was out of the picture (another reason why i probably prefer this era). Love the triple guitar thing going on with Alan, Eric and Duncan, very Thin Lizzy-esque. It was a great breakaway from the Rollermania days and from whatever Strangers in the Wind was.
Derek has the widest grin in this video and it's so cheesey that anyone over the age of 21 can't really take offense at it. It's more a party video than anything else..
I agree with the comment that the band is trying too hard to be cool. I respect that The Rollers wanted to change their image from “boys” next door to grown men who had normal relationships and who were creating music for grown ups, but this video is cheesy, and tries too hard! I also hate the fact he album cover for “Elevator,” with a Quaalude in an elevator. Some of the lyrics did not really make sense, but Duncan did add a lot of creativity to the project, and I can clearly hear the influence that Elton John had on his sound. The guys did their best to move ahead musically🎼🎶🎶
I am a Eric fan but looking.at that video the other guys are being.professional.and respectedful Eric is more out for fun, clearly he has the hots for the brunette near him but his actions through the video make me turn off him.
Love this ❤ never expected to see them like this though lol 😉😉😉😉😉 great to see them having fun, especially gorgeous Eric 😍 lucky girls😅
I never lost sight that the other four WERE in this line up too. Not just Duncan. And I remained loving those four thru the decades. As well.
Well that's a turnaround from the 'boy next door' image I'm used to! 🥴

Not heard this before, They all seem to be enjoying them selves.
Great tune that 1
❤

I don’t 😂
The previous one was better.
@@peterbothwell9005 THEY WERE A GREAT BAND IN THEIR YOUNG DAYS.. I USED TO WaTCH THEM ALOT TO IN MY YOUNG DAYS AS WELL IN THE SEVENTIES,
LORRAINE WILSON...I was a fan along with a number of my school friends both male and female. In 1976 I was lucky enough to see them live in consort.
Eric was clearly enjoying himself
Think so
Eric was glad when he left the rollers.he said to one guy,try being the lead guitarist of the rollers.the guys problem was nothing compared to Eric's.
Cool video
Great song. what is that around the girl's mouth at 2:00? I'm gonna say, popcorn
Upload the original bay city rollers les McKeown, ian, more Eric songs and Derek and Alan please.

girls and alcohol, would that have been associated with the BCR in the 70's? :)
Good lord no. Their sleazy manager insisted it was all boys and milk ;)
@@blackmore4 I agree:)
@@blackmore4 🤣😂
where's ian mitchell? more music videos or live performances like don't worry baby and dedication.
It seems that he has already withdrawn.
1:41? Really?
Never heard this one before
Good song. Video-not so much.

You weren't just a tad bit jealous he kissed her? I was, lucky mare 🤣
I love Eric still, I was 12 when this was released and didn't know what jealousy was but I soon knew what it felt like 😪 😀.
this video "tries too hard"
