- If you were somehow isekaid into the world of star rail, I bet youd be swamped with decisions to make. Which planet should you travel to, who should you try and meet first, what food should you try. All of those, as important as they are dont matter, the only one that does is which path should you choose
I've made 2 of these types of videos already simply because there are a total of 17 aeons and paths and a singular video would be an hour long. So this is the final episode in the series of videos that talk about which path should you choose, if you were isekaid into honkai star rail, part 3
Some part of this video comes from the actual lore while others may be speculation on my part as we currently do not know the full story. As such take it with a grain of salt as the point of this video is just a deeper dive into Honkai Star Rail lore.

actually the garden of recollection is not the only faciton following fuli, there's also "the cremators" that believe that only the most important memories should be kept and they destroy the memories they consider being garbage.

I'm pretty sure there's a difference between what path you actually follow, and what aeon you are aligned with. Like that's why Bronya is harmony for example(or Jing yuan is erudition), just being born in a society who worships preservation, or is allied with hunt, isn't making you personally follow those paths, that's determined by your personality or what your actions resulting in.
So you might as well be convinced that you are doing your chosen path a favour, while in reality your actions benefit someone else.
Yup you're right, I completely forgot about the cremators though if im not mistaken the cremators are part of the garden of recollection just an extreme group within the larger one so I'd imagine joining them means youd still largely act in the same way as much of the garden of recollection only that youd have the extra steps of destroying those memories that they feel are garbage 😁

Destruction seems more like physical destruction and Enigmata is making the past unknowable (i think)
Cremators are still remembering things, it's just the memories they deem important
mythus and their followers are literally the "me purposefully spreading misinformation on the internet" meme of the star rail universe. anyway, personally id love to follow the path of the equilibrium. perfectly balanced! the arbitrators also sound cool. if not, then definitely the hunt, if only to join the galaxy rangers, saving people across worlds. very rewarding (mentally at least).
Im looking forward to meeting the galaxy rangers, especially with Acheron being introduced in Penacony. As for mythus, they definitely seem like either trolls or people who think theyre better than anyone else and are functionally gatekeeping stuff lol

Terminus isn't a singular entity, although indivisible... it's a stream. A corrective one. Kinda like an optimisation of the universe. Like your future self acting out in reverse as a guardian angel
When I see ho oh in the loading screen I go "Ho-oh the pokemon?" Or just "HOHOHO" with french accent
The Arbitrators sound SO COOL, is really interesting, hope we know more about them soon. Sounds like a less creepy version of The Family.
I feel like I have two real options:
The Garden of Recollection, is quite similar to be a Historian or a Museum worker which is interesting. By the way, we do know that "The Aeon that presides over the Path of Remembrance records all that has been forgotten and prepares for the rebirth of the universe.", Fuli is saving everything it can if The Destruction wins, and even if it doesn't, there are always new threats.
The IPC, the Technology Department sounds cool and in general, is a faction with so many connections, works with the Genius Society, The Family, Inteligentsia Guild, is interesting, also, their motif around Gamestones is really cute.
The Family sounds nice having on mind how hedonism I am, but I think is better to wait and know more about them in Penacony.

I’m definitely following the Aeon of Equilibrium, balancing everything and equalizing is really just my type.
I'd like to follow the path of propagation(as it reminds me a lot of the Swarm from Starcraft) although as you mentioned it would probably be difficult for a human to do so since as far as we know there are no human practitioners of this path, but on the other hand, Tayzzyronth managed to ascend through sheer loneliness so maybe it's not as complicated.
Alternatively beauty and elation seem also like interesting choices.

Personally, If I were to be isekai'd to hsr I would choose both Destruction and Nihility, these paths align closely to my personal philosophies.
Nihility seems kinda depressing though im sure its much deeper than that, one of the paths im looking forward to exploring once we get more revealed about it

Terminus is the most interesting one. Because how (allegedly) it works, it was born at the end of the future and it’s moving towards its end which is our past. So when the star rail universe was born Terminus died.
Your last point should always be remembered. The path any given character is aligned with very often doesn't match their "personal" path/personality type. Qingque, for example, has an attitude that aligns get well with Nihility, but she's an Erudition character, while Pela is a Nihility character with an Erudition personality. Similarly, Sampo seems to be an emenator of Aha, but his character type is Nihility. It seems among sapient species, only the Aeons are locked into just one path.
You shouldn't be mixing the gameplay path to the story path. For example, characters like Dr. Ratio follows Erudition in story but in gameplay, he is Hunt. Same way, Sampo follows Elation in story but in gameplay he's Nihility. Hanabi follows Elation in story but is Harmony in gameplay. The entirety of the Astral Express crew have different paths in gameplay such as Destruction, Preservation, Erudition, Nihility and Hunt but in story, they all follow Trailblaze in story. The gameplay paths are just for the gameplay only. You shouldn't consider them when talking about Story.
@@raibyo you could look at it from an entirely meta standpoint, sure. However, I think by doing so you miss out on the nuances of how sapient beings in the Star Rail universe interact with the paths. The motivations, personalities, and longings of individuals don't fit neatly into the silos defined by the paths. To use my earlier examples, while Qingque has strong Nihility tendencies in her personality, she applies her brilliant mind in pursuit of them as befits an Erudition character. Likewise, while Pela is a brilliant and disciplined strategist, she really loves her down time as befits a Nihility character. (And that's ignoring how based on faction membership, QQ *should* be Hunt and Pela *should* be Preservation.) Also consider Ruan Mei: an emenator of Nous who deep down longs to overcome her social backwardness and form connections, she is Harmony rather than Erudition.
To wit, everyone perfectly conforming to only one path would be very limiting for the writers. Only insects and Aeons (and in Tazzyronth's case, insect Aeons) specialize to that level. Everyone else is delightfully messier.
@@chaddickhaut140 That's doesn't make sense considering a character like Welt is Nihility. Considering Welt's history, he's the opposite of Nihility.
@@raibyo consider the Doctors of Chaos, who when met by IX's gaze became determined to show that existence *must* have a meaning. They partake of the path of Nihility, but are dedicated to its inverse (similar to the Mourning Actors with Elation). Given Welt's positive attitude after all the hardship he has faced, it's not hard to see how (like the Doctors of Chaos) Nihility works pretty well for him on a personal level.
@@chaddickhaut140 No it doesn't. Doctor's of Chaos and Mourning Actors basically sought to prove the opposite of the Aeon that bless them stands for. Not to mention, both of those groups have direct relations with their Aeon and is actively trying to go against it. Welt is none of that. Not to mention, Welt's personality, experiences and goals pretty much screams Trailblaze. Not all the paths that are in the story are playable which should serve to disprove your theory about directly relating the playable path to story path.
And not mention, Bailu and Dan Heng are both Scions of Permanence, yet their playable paths are abundance, hunt and destruction.
I would like to point out that Terminas and the Honkai MAY have connections because of his path being that of Finality. Though it hasn't been confirmed yet.

Personally I’d say if i get isekaid I hope to be an elf for guaranteed immortality if I’m not I’d follow the path of abundance. I’d actively attempt to resonate with the paths of abundance for immortality and healing abilities, voracity since i’d be traveling the universe trying delicious food, propagation if i had unintentionally started a harem and planned on becoming that paths new aeon, remembrance cuz i’d be fine giving my human body, and finality cuz I love leaks.
With that out the way i assume u’ll cover elements next right?
I’d go with quantum cuz I’d love the ability to teleport anywhere like trotters its also like the space element in my opinion.
The path of permanence still a mystery to me. What happen to Long and why decendants being half dragon? Why only selected vidyadhara that can reincarnate? People who get the dragon flesh and horn can join. They being vidyadhara and long life species.
The followers of yaoshi, the abundance want to get longer life. But most of them turn to madness. They get mara struck and eventually get end tragically. Jingliu teams up with Luocha because they trying to hunt down Yaoshi.
Imo both of them look similar. Is Long taken down by Yaoshi? Is there any other dragon form with different element beside water manipulation trick somethin like that?
There are so many old Aeon and Paths that reminds mystery in hsr. Are they related with honkai impact 3rd? In hi3, the story always centered with honkai. Herscherr bring so op for getting honkai. I know hsr is like a canon story, but I still want to know if there is connection. Sea of quanta and imaginary tree are two things that I still remembered even after quit play hi3.

After seeing all 3 videos, I still think I could only truly align with Nihility. And not even to a faction, simply because there's no point to either of them because of the mere existence of Terminus (you can see why I'd fit in with Nihility lol). And hilariously enough, the only path with meaning would be Rememberance, because even if everything ends, being remembered would make it worthwhile, even if only by Terminus.

im thinking a combination of abundance erudition and harmony i really like to learn i wanna help people and i know its impossible but i just want everyone to get along idk if any of them would give a rats ass about me but its worth a shot
I would imagine someone like natasha is exactly that, a combination of several paths. Im sure most are like that too instead of just following one path
SO I guess we'll ignore Order as a path until we know more about it ? Because even tho it overlaps with Harmony, I don't see it because as cultist-ish as the Family so...
i would choose the paths of Equilibrium, Nihility, Harmony, Permanence.

I think to be more awakened to a path you'd have to focus on that path specifically but that's just my theory (especially since some paths contradict eachother, like elation and nihility)

Yes, Terminus is the Aeon of Finality who exists backward in time.
I don’t know if I missed it, but isn’t there an 18th path with the path of Order? Since Longevity, Beauty and Trailblaze still exist wouldn’t Order? I might have missed something in lore about it’s lack of existence and if so please correct me.
Order used to exist but its mentioned to have been absorbed by the harmony so no longer around.

@@TFdidijustwatch Qiloth didn’t kill Long, but the Path of Preservation killed the Path of Longjevity. Essentially someone following longevity would also be following the preservation, and the path itself is broader. This meant the imaginary energy that was made by the followers of longevity very quickly started going to Qlipoth instead. As far as we’ve seen only the Vidyahara (I butchered that spelling 😭) still exclusively follow the longevity and that lack of followers is what caused Long and the majority of his Path to disappear. Unless I’m misunderstanding the lore and if you know if/how/where I’m wrong I’d love if you could help explain it to me thanks.

There's no way HooH is on the side of good. It is equilibrium, so it is on the side of both good and evil, when there's too much evil and destruction, it will work for good and restoration. But when there's too much good, it will be evil.

I've kinda been wondering about that exact thing, does earth actually exist in the star rail universe? I havent played honkai impact so im not sure if thats answered there but if earth did exist and were in just a different part of the galaxy or timeline or something I wonder if we'll end up visiting it at some point
@@Maevix3142Star Rail is part of the Honkaiverse along with every Mihoyo game so yes it does exist (also Welt is from hi3 Earth sooo yeah) (if that's what you meant by Earth)
Okay, crack theory time.
The Finality is Nanook after Honkai Star Rail, the game, ends.
My reason for this is because Terminus, or whatever THEIR name is, moves backwards in time, murmuring a prophecy that people think will end the universe, and THEY only exist physically at the end of time. Finality is just another, much calmer and a lot more peaceful version of the End, which is a concept we were given in Honkai Impact 3rd, with Kiana being the Herrscher of The End in a different timeline, where she ends worlds, and the Herrscher of Finality in the current timeline, where she ends the Honkai Eruptions for as long as she is alive.
And, well, just as I said, The End is destructive, and therefore The End is basically The Destruction's other name. This in turn makes me think that the supposed "death" of Nanook that The Trailblazer is apparently going to cause in the future of the game is actually not death, but change from one Aeon and one Path, to another.
And now that I heard for the first time in my life that The Finality murmurs the prophecy that supposedly is the end of the world, I had thought that what if Elio heard the prophecy, in some unknown to us way, understood it completely, and realised that it's not the prophecy of The End of The World, but rather the prophecy of The End of Nanook, at least as we know THEM.
It would make sense why Elio would have those Scripts of his, and why he was leading us to destroy The Destruction.
I mean, there would also be a reason for why it would be like this. After all, in Honkai Impact 3rd, Kiana as the Herrscher of Finality has ended the cycle of Honkai Eruptions, a destructive force testing civilisations. So, what if The Aeon of Finality was murmuring prophecies of the end of Nanook and The Destruction, and not the world, and everyone understood THEM wrong, because THEY "speak" backwards, which could be the reason why Elio would be able to understand it. If he actually spoke and understood everything backwards, he would have a way to understand THEM correctly, and make Scripts based on what THEY "spoke". Of course, we don't know how Aeons actually "speak", which is why I am putting the word in brackets now, because my guess is that THEY actually use the Imaginary element to show ideas and concepts instead of words.
Anyway, if that's how the game actually ends, I would be very surprised...
