AirPod Pro's falling out of your ears? Try this free solution!

- The original AirPods fit me well and didn't fall out, audio quality was fine, too. Always interested in improving the status quo, when I learned about AirPods Pro I was attracted to the advanced features and potential sound quality improvement. The typical foam ear tips found on many earbuds irritate my skin; AirPods Pro feature a non-foam soft tip to seal out external noise and retain each AirPod in one's ear canal. Some AirPod Pro users have reported their AirPod Pros don't fit securely and at times fall out. I experienced this myself and looked for a solution. Aftermarket foam tips or accessory attachable retainers work well for some, however I didn't want to modify the comfort level and wearability of my AirPod Pros. This morning I had a thought to slightly rotate each earpiece upward once fitted into my ear canal. Just, and let me emphasize just, enough so the extended microphone portion rested against the Tragus of my ear. This slight rotation caused a friction fit of each earpiece, allowing the Pros to be retained in my ear not only by the soft cup at the end of the AirPod but also enhance the friction fit by using the Tragus portion of my ear to ever so slightly wedge the extended microphone against the Tragus which then slightly compressed the ear cup inside my ear canal for a friction fit. Give it a try, it's working well for me!
That’s why my parents always told me respect your elders and pay attention to them they will always have something to teach you. Thank you sir
These are the types of people they had in mind when they were saying that to you. Unfortunately most people then and now are not like that.

Not all wear their underwear on the outside of their pants either!

“I provided value.” 😃 Boy, this gentleman must be successful at selling houses. Quiet, not in-your-face type. 👏
I've been in real estate for 30+ years, worked in many markets throughput the US holding positions of Sales Manager, VP Sales, and Regional Sales Manager. A good part of the time dedicated to training salespeople to "sell" the correct way. Every product is perfect for some and not right for others. Educate the consumer and allow the buyer to make the best decision for themselves. Now I provide my skillset to individual homeowners for their success plus mentor new agents. Life is good 👍
I’m so blown away that this tiny twist fixed such a major issue! Thank you so much for posting this video! And totally agree with other comments, you must kill it at selling houses lol not in your face, such a gentle, kind voice. You absolutely provided value, this made all the difference between myself wanting to go back to the first shape of AirPods that came out.
Thanks again!
I'm glad it works for you
Such a simple solution to an irritating problem! I had my earpieces work their way out while walking or eating but more drastically while on road biking activities... a scary and potentially expensive experience!! I even invested in silicone "ear hangers" to solve the problem but this works like magic. I should have realized that the "ear hangers" forced the AirPod Pros into the position you described and I thought that this was odd - but they’ve stayed in much better. Thanx Bill, for providing this wisdom to the rest of us frustrated people... (I wish Apple added this advice in their instructions .🥴 )
It shows to twist your AirPod slightly up to get better hold while you connect for the first time. That’s how I never got that slipping off issues.
OR did you just skipped the tutorial 🤣.
Anyways it’s a great video.
Hell yes while chewing for me!
I don’t know how to do it
What a legend!
I have been experiencing so much pain from these things until you shared this.
Bill, you are the man!
My AirPods Pro don’t fall out, but they slide out of my ear canal just a slight bit so that I lose a lot of the music I’ve listening to. I’ll try this tip today. Thanks!
Did it work?
@@bbrunoliveira Yes, I think it does work.
Have you tried changing the tip of it that worked for me
@@nativetiger1264 im sure that’s the first thing everyone tried lol
@@brandonhorn7887 my right one falls out time to time it’s lose
Can’t believe I never thought about this myself!! Thank you so much! They fit my ears much better now, from that little twist!
Such a simple, and incredibly helpful, tip! Thanks so much!
I'm all about maximizing return on investment, glad this no-cost solution works for you
Well that was the most useful tip of the year. These AirPods Pro constantly falling out of my ears were driving me nuts. You are a genius! Many thanks!
I'm really glad to hear this helped you!
This man deserves a legends award
You are too kind! It doesn't work for everyone however I'm glad this tip has helped many
I agree.
@@BillSchulteYourGeorgiaRealtor it helped! Thanks
@@BillSchulteYourGeorgiaRealtor if it doesn't work for everyone I would recommend changing the size of the tip on the AirPods
@@lucassunday05 duh! That is the first think we do. This is tip is for the people, to whom none eartips fit
I wish AirPods Pro fit look like the original AirPods.
The originals were a perfect fit for me, too. Due to the silicone seal and other electronic wizardry the AirPods Pro sound better to many, myself included. I almost went back to the originals due to the loose fit. I tried the tip I share in the video and it made all the difference for me.
The AirPods 3 will look like the first and the second AirPods
@@user-ob5lo4vg5p I don't think it will have noise block or yes?
Neither fit me, they don’t stay in right because they’re so big. Even with the smallest earpiece on the pros.
@@user-ob5lo4vg5p it’s not even possible
You stated EXACTLY my thoughts. I loved the originals so I did not hesitate to get the Pros. Only my right falls out so I will try your solution. I hate that i wish i still had my originals!
Over time I've learned to really appreciate the AirPod Pros. Sound quality, spacial audio, plus the noise cancelling optional settings are superior to the originals. The batteries in mine are holding their charge well, too. Best of success with yours
did it work?
@@jana4772 I think it somewhat helped but i bought replacement tips from the PZOZ store on Amazon. I only needed one for my right ear. Unfortunately they are gray, not white and now after wearing them for a year+ it looks a little nasty. But at least I dont worry about it falling out anymore!
@@jana4772 yes
Had the pros for around 8 months now and they start to slide out after 5 mins or even talking. Now have just found your video and they fit perfectly! Can't thank you enough. Well deserved like and +1 subscriber :)
You're a legend!
Glad it worked for you!
Hi Bill, what a great tip. I was a bit skeptical until I implemented your tip. It worked. That sensation of feeling that they are about to pop out of my stopped as soon as I got them in the correct position. I’m very happy not to have to out and buy some item to fix the fit issue. Thanks for sharing.
That’s good news! Glad it works for you
I bike everyday with the AirPod Pro's and I am constantly having to push them back in. This tip is great! Thank you Bill....you are brilliant!
What a fantastic tip, Bill. I had precisely the same problem and your suggestion has worked perfectly. Thank you from Ireland. You deserve a very Happy New Year.
Works! Thanks - have nearly lost my right one on 3 occasions - once in snow. Bill, thanks again!
I haven’t even purchased AirPod pros yet and just doing research but couldn’t help but enjoy how genuine and forthcoming you are. Based on the comments I think you provided a lot of people with value. Thanks!
I appreciate your comment, thanks!
This guys is dope!! Thank you. Works and stay in perfect. You have a great day as well, homie. 👊🏾
I’ve had the exact same experience. Just tried your trick and they feel more secure. I hope it stays this way. Thanks so much!

Such a simple solution but it actually worked, thank you very much Bill for taking the time to make and post this video to CZcams!
Great to hear!
I also found that leaving your airpod in the normal position but twisting the end silicon piece in such a position so that it meets the shape of the ear, it will stay in and give better grip because one of the sides of the ear piece is like longer i guess, wider, idk how to explain it
Going to give it a try. I rarely use them because of the fit/falling out "feature". ...Later... This tip works! BUT, I had to re-experiment with the different tips/cups sizes and found that the small ones work the best for me.
Thanks man, you provided a lot of value!!! Now the sealing and stability is much better!!
interesting reading all the comments from people having similar problems. I've never had an issue with them falling out so it was strange to see others are having issues. Glad you found a solution though!
Indeed, [you] have provided value! Thank you so much!! I was so close to returning these for that exact reason...happy I don’t have to now! 👍🏽😊
Quick, precise, to the point. Thank you for the tip. :)
Even though mine still fall out, this has been the best solution i’ve found PERIOD. Thank you so much boss, have a great day.

I'm really glad to hear it works for you, have a great 2021!
Thanks, that worked out. I was just getting ready to return them. Thanks for the tip
Glad the tip allowed you to keep yours. I recently switched phones from iPhone X to iPhone 12 pro and notice the AirPod Pro battery life has improved, too. Perhaps a better Bluetooth connection with the new hardware
Testing it out now thanks for the tip sir !
Thank you for the tip. I’ll try this out, Thank you for looking after others on things like this paying it forward.
I had doubts but it actually worked
Glad to hear it worked for you!
Yeah it did worked for me too! Thank u sir for sharing ur idea! 👍 when i twisted it a little bit upward the sound quality also improved! Bravo!👏👏👏
Just wait until you hear "Spacial Audio" through them. Glad the tip worked for you
this tip definitely helped me. Thank you so much!
Thanks for the great tip!
Within the 1st hour of ownership I had one fall out of my ear as I was checking my oil, of course it fell under the middle of my car - that I couldn’t reach it . I immediately swapped out to the large size tips 👍🏼
Sometimes they still feel like they work their way out
This is life changing omg. They need to include this in the instructions lol.
Brarden, that's a strong comment! Glad it worked for you
@@wallaceandgromit99 So when you have them placed in your ear in the natural stem down position tilt the stem up till you feel a little bit of resistance and it should help with them staying in place.

Thank you so much senior!! It worked for me too!! 🙏🏼😊
This works for the most part. Thank you! Once I start to sweat a bit that friction fit goes out the window lol.
this is my issue. if i sweat and lift my arms they pop out
Just in case if this doesn’t work for some people, open your mouth wide then pull the top of your ears for about a second or two, then insert your AirPods. Doing this expands your ear canals. I always had trouble with my AirPods slipping and falling out and I must say after doing this the AirPods feel more secure in my ears!
Incredible. Thanks Bill! I tried this while watching your video. I immediately felt a difference in fit. They are now staying in!
Thank you so much!

Thanks for taking your time to comment. It will help others give it a try
What a superb tip! I'd be struggling with them and not only do they fit better I've actually got the noise cancelling working properly now - finally. Nice one Bill!
You using medium or large tips?
Thanks mate for sharing this💯
WOW, I was getting crazy re-adjust AirPods all the time. Now they are a very tight fit and secure. Thank you.
Thank you this is amazing you don't know how much this means to me
You are so welcome
This tip actually really helped,
Thanks so much for taking the time to make this video. And the timing couldn’t be better. I ordered some Airpod Pros this morning.
I hope they work well for you. Pay attention when changing the silicone ear tips. They are not circular and have alignment marks on them for proper installation
Thank you so much for that tip.
Bill, I hope this works because I was about to return mine. I love everything about these but no matter which size tips I place on the AirPods I just can’t get the right fit and they fall out a lot which is frustrating for the price. Thanks for the suggestion!
Same problem here, so frustrating!
For me they sit better if I place them as vertically as I can. When I place them as you told in the video I could feel them slip and if I talk and laugh to much they’d also slip and almost fall out. Thanks for this video, though. Hopefully it will help others!
Helped me! Thank you!
Bro love you man this helped out a lot
You sir, are the REAL MVP.
I gave my ears and the headphones a wipe down with rubbing alcohol. Just on a cue tip it removed a lot of the oils and created more friction, It seems to help.
Almost spent $24 on some foam buds for my AirPods but you saved me that! Forever grateful, works like a charm!
Thanks so much for this tip!!!!
Wow....that worked. I was so afraid of losing them. Not now. Hooray!
Okay so I feel like we all have different ears haha. So everyone has a different experience. The original AirPods were horrible they couldn't fit in my ear and even if they did the were really uncomfortable and kept falling out. The air pod pros came and they were great but my left ear has a slight problem keeping them in. But this really helped so thank you
Thanks for the tip on the tips. Got my AirPod pro 2’s yesterday and by the end of the day I constantly had reach for the right one because always felt on the verge of falling out.
It worked - thanks for sharing!!
I don't even have these I'm just on an endless loop of CZcams videos
I’m going to try this since mine always falls out when I move my jaw, like talking and eating.
That's what prompted me to search for a solution, hope it works for you too
Thanks for sharing your solution.
Great video Bill! thank you
bro….this guy is a legend.
I didn't know this, so I resorted to buying comply foam tips they work, but this I'll try may be another solution to the problem I was having.
Which works better?
@@oSportify Comply foam tips were better for me.
Just got mine today. Thanks for the tips bill!
Thank you so much. Worked like a champ
How nice, you seem like a genuinely good guy. Very unassuming. I’m about to buy a pair of AirPods Pro today and I’m thinking about buying the item that connects to them and goes around the neck in case they fall out. I’m planning on using them on my motorcycle with a helmet on, so they probably wouldn’t get past the helmet anyhow.
I’ve never used mine in a helmet, I use earplugs to quiet the wind noise and my riding time is devoted to quiet time away from the “convenience” of connectivity, however I believe if you pull the helmet straps apart while pulling over your ears will make it possible to use them. I do find that in a given listening session I may choose to push the AirPod Pros in and twist forward a second time which seems to keep them in place from that point forward. I notice when removing them after extended use there is what feels like a vacuum seal release. Based on this experience you might try putting them in your ears, taking the 5 to 10 minutes to get the bike out and ready to ride (I always do a pre-flight check of tire pressures, brakes, lights, etc just before riding) then gently press the AirPod Pros in and twist forward a second time, just like you initially did, and then put on your helmet. As always, just sharing my ideas and experience with this, YMMV
dude u are a genius u are my role model now 😂 thx for the help tho
thank you Bill, great advice
Hello Bill, hope you doing great today. Thanks for the tips. I will try it out. All the best!
This helped so much, thank you!
You're welcome!
For people that are watching this works very well but something I did before was clean my ears and the air pods with alcohol wipes because of all the oils in the human ears and they can cause the air pods to sleep out. And then do just as he says it would work fantastically
thank you
Thanks for the free solution ! I appreciate you
Thanks for your idea, Bill! I, too, love the sound quality but have had either the left or right (with the smallest cushion size) fall out suddenly. I’ll keep you posted!
What a great public service, thank u for sharing!
I love you, thanks for the video I was about to return them. But now I love how snuggly they are
