    I waited on purchasing these because no one had reviewed them yet.....hoping "you" would. So here I am, leaving an event at 3:20am, sat in my car to drive home, and decided to scroll through CZcams before driving off.
    And BOOM.....yours is the first video I see upon opening the app. And it happens to be about the 1500D!!! How crazy is "that"?

    I really enjoy your deep dives into these lights. I just got 2 GVM 1200D lights and really like them. I got soft boxes as well and your video on installing was super helpful. I appreciate the smaller footprint compared to an umbrella light I was using and I mostly got them b/c I started noticing wavy lines in my videos, so hopefully this solves that.

    Great Review, I just finished watching you're review on the 1000D. I've been trying to decide between, the Neewer 660 3 pack and the GVM 1000D...but now thinking about the 1300D and 1500D. I do have a question though. The main application I'll using whichever kit I decide on is primarily Product Photography. I'm the Creative Developer for a Diesel Performance shop and we produce our own after market diesel product and so much of what I shoot is for our E-Commerce site, but I'll also doing more commercial/creative work for several magazines we advertise in. With that in mind, the question I have, are the 1000D, 1300D and 1500D light enough to mount on table top stands? For the E-Commerce shots, it's all on a white background and so I like the idea of being able to move the lights round as needed without using up space with huge lights stands in the way. To give you and idea of what I'm shooting on. I'll be using a 49.5 in. x 24 in. x 30 in. table pushed into a U Shaped counter, that will give a total working space of 84 in. x 48 in. some of our after market fuel systems tend have a lot components and my previous space and lighting made it challenging to shoot just the way I wanted...These LED panels just might be the solution I've been looking. Appreciate you're feed back. TIA.

    I have the 800D but have been wanting to upgrade to something more powerful such as perhaps the 1200D or now this one that you're showcasing.
    However, something I just thought about that could be an issue is the weight difference. Would you say the stronger Gvm lights are noticeably heavier and bulkier over the 800D? Particularly as a 3-light set.

      The 1500D is not heavy at all and twice as powerful. Also, if you’re looking for a very powerful light, check out the GVM S300S too. I have also reviewed it if you want to browse around the channel. It’s not too far from the last videos…

      @@ArtVideoProductions It gets so heavy for me carrying all my equipment to locations and my 800d 3 light kit bag is the heaviest 🥲 Also their bag that opens two ways is pretty uncomfortable so I’m hoping they have some new versions. Could be just a thing with 3 light kits though as I saw a video of 2 12000D kit and the bag looked great. Watching your S300S video now 👍🏽 I’m thinking of getting two 1200D lights (instead of three because I imagine the weight would have me overcumbered) and one extra powerful spotlight like the S300s or perhaps a fanless version

      Other than reliability and power, I would like to know what I'm missing out on from more professional lights. I've invested a lot into my video & photo quality and now doing the same with audio. Looking to se if I should also not hold out on light quality as the 800D's are only useful in dim lighting.
      And I hear you lol that's crazy how much you carry. I carry the maximum amount I possibly could without passing out going down/up my stairs in one go. So I tend to look into smaller, lighter weight gear when I can.

      If you do as I have shown in the video, yes they will be ok. (Small room size). For bigger areas, for key light, you’ll need a 200 watt COB light + large softbox minimum, especially for rooms that have windows during daytime which is always the proper setup for keylight.

    @strangerpresents4535 Před 2 lety +1

    Are the RGB lights actually outputting the full 75W on these? Or, is the output significantly reduced.....due to the nature of how RGB's (output-wise) inherently function?

    • @ArtVideoProductions
      @ArtVideoProductions  Před 2 lety +1

      The full 75 watt is achieved when setting this light CCT to 4400.K at 100%
      RGBs are ALWAYS a fraction of the power, on most lights because they are tiny diodes uses less energy, even if they are as bright as the CCTs

    • @strangerpresents4535

      @@ArtVideoProductions Yeah, that's what I figured. So it's probably best for me to get something like the Godox SZ150R or something.....where the RGB's output is reduced to approximately 60W or so. Whereas, this GVM unit will output it's RGB much less than that, in my opinion. I have neither of these units, so I can not personally test them.

Does that versatility make them worth it over the 1500? Or is that extra 15% power really good to have ready at any point?
      I’m shooting solo, need to be somewhat portable. Some talking heads, but also some quick interviews on various locations of the events. I will also use them for other projects, and use them as hair lights / fill lights when I’m using my Godox VL150 as my key light (yes i have a COB ;) )
