Amaravati was to be the capital of divided Andhra Pradesh. When the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) lost power in 2019, the Amaravati project paused. Under the YSRCP government, Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy said that he would opt for a three capital formula, triggering a series of protests from farmers who gave up their land for Amaravati. 33k acres land taken from farmers return to farmers 30% means 10k acres land back to farmers,30% land for roads and common utilities means 10k and remains 13 k acres land . Already sold @ 25 to 50 lakh per acres land for some institutions like SMR,VIT, Amrutha and so on around 5k acres , remain land bank with government 8 k acres land ..for 8 k acres land we need to invest 2-3 lakh cores . Someone promised in 2014 that 100 Smart cities , 2 crore jobs every year , Double the Farmer's income, Bullet Train and endless false promises but nothing happened. Same like that Mr.Naidu's dream Project Amaravati has not completed. It is a high time to ask ourselves , "WHY" Why it is not happening in India.. Since my teenage years I remember the politicians after visiting Singapore they said that they would make our city with the same standard like Singapore. Until now, I never seen any Indian city with any kind of standard.
Well. Had the same kind of problem in TN. When Dmk comes into power. they will suspend all progressive schemes by ADMK and introduce their own progressive schemes. and vice versa. and in the end wasting our tax money and looting whenever possible. And the wost offender is BJP. look at the States we are giving our tax money to. They are just robbing us blind. Bihar, haryana, UP. And how all central schemes are going to Gujarat for some reason. and when they introduce something in these days. its either doesn't get implemented, or just loot most of the funds.

Vizag can be developed but it need not be a Capital city. Also like in the US a capital city need not be a big one. Smaller cities can be capitals. The good thing about Amaravati is its connectivity and reach for the citizens to come to the capital for any work. Also Vizag's development will be beneficial for the people of Odisha and WB etc rather than for Andhra and Rayalaseema people. Thus moving capital to Vizag will be a huge loss for Telugu people living below the Krishna river. Also, we should not repeat the mistake of investing in a single city like the Telugu people have invested in Hyderabad and now they lost a growth engine. Also what if all invest in Vizag and later if North Coastal Andhra wants to become a new state isn't it a loss for the Rayalaseema and South coastal Andhra?

Cm dint say that vishakapatnam will be the sole capital. It will be an executive capital as one among the three capitals. @thenewsminute needs to verify its sources. When Naidu was in power Amaravati was not even notified in the official Indian Gazette as Capital of AP. what a shame ! Naidu went to court to stop distribution of land to poor in the Amaravati area arguing that a demographic change will take place in case of distribution. Hard to digest such exhibition of casteist pride! YUCK! There were allegations of insider trading as Naidu changed the plan of the capital region to suit his kith and kin.
