Do you stack pre-33 Gold? On tonight’s livestream Nic and I will dive into why we feel it’s a strong play for your stack.
That is why I like to barter or trade for the things I need like trading an ounce of gold for $1980 dollar bills. It works out fair for both sides.
Good arguments for old gold here! I only have a small amount of it and i hope to have more one day. That history is hard to beat!
It’s my favorite kind of gold. The $5 Indian head has such a hand stamped look vs modern stamping machines.
I just enjoy stacking Pre -1933 Gold coins. I currently have eleven Pre - 1933 coins and am continuing to stack them when I can financially. My most favorite gold coin is my 1915 Saint Gaudens Gold Double Eagle which I treasure.
Saint Gaudens are great! I also love the $5 and $10 Indian heads. The $5 is my fav.
I started my collection ~2 decades ago on graded pre-33 Au and Ag. I know that’s not stacking, but I did also buy 1/3rd of my portfolio in bullions. Thus I am trying to even out my stack by buying mostly bullions now
Sounds like a sound strategy.
Thanks for the info!! I had no idea about that 25-piece reporting law.
Glad you found the video insightful.
Great information and video
Glad it was helpful!
That was some great information, thanks Mike ! I would like to see the livestream when you have him on. Keep the content coming..
I will be setting a livestream up soon with Mike. Have some fund ideas around this.
💯 to the host & Guest !
Ton of information and a very 1st class man .
💯
Thanks for watching.
My experience with it...lcs will only pay spot for it. So you are stuck looking for a person to buy it at its real mkt value
I would recommend not selling pre-33 gold to an LCS. They typically will not pay enough. Coin shows or companies like Mikes will be much better in my experience.
Great video buddy, New Sub👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for the sub! Mike will be on my livestream this coming Saturday night at 6 pm Pacific 9 pm Eastern to answer questions. He is the expert on the pre-33.
I recently bought my first pre 33 gold coin
Congrats!🎉 I like them a lot more and more as time passes.
Big like number 213 and subscribed! Excellent video and thank you so much for sharing!
Thanks and welcome aboard!
Oh yeah.. i got a 1850 $1 . My first American gold coin! But its a "love token" reverse is smoothed and engraved. I got it in a lot of victirian jewlery i bought as scrap
Love tokens are cool. I haven’t seen one in person yet.
I found you from Yankee stackking. Keep the videos coming! Oh...and get out of California lol
Thanks for the sub! Yah, I feel it daily.
Mike was awsome. Forst time I have seen him. Next time ask him about lower graded old US gold coins. Seeing mor eof them now, it that better than ungraded?
Will do. Planning on having him on a livestream soon.
I got a little distracted by that safe. Did they really bring that monster for a coin show? Had to be a pretty penny just to move it for a weekend. Great video
My guess is they either brought it for show or to keep the $13 million dollar collection in there overnight. Maybe with some added armed guards and a few dogs?
👌🔥🔥
Fire for sure.
Very good video Surfer!
Glad you enjoyed it! Planning to get Mike on a live stream in the next couple of weeks.
Grading is so subjective! I see contradictory gradings on YT all the time. Still worth it for many coins out there LOL.
Very true. I have an Ancient Greek coin that looks and shows up better than ones graded higher.
Are silver American sovereign coins also free from reporting?
Only if less than $10,000 being transacted.
Started stacking about 3 years ago. The best thing i did was stop 6 months ago and buy btc... i love gold but the only coins that have done reasonably well are the pre 33..
Gold definitely takes a lot more patience than BTC but it also serves a different purpose, wealth insurance. That’s something BTC can’t do. BTC can be great for speculation and price appreciation! As those profits come in, pre-33 gold is a great choice to lock some of that new wealth. Just my take and how I do it with crypto and gold.
Just curious what got you into gold and what got you out of gold? What were you looking for gold to do?
@stackingsurfer I'm not out of gold. I love gold and silver. It just became obvious to me that they were archaic and btc is the future. If I had my choice gold and silver would be money again but people today won't even carry/use cash let alone carry coins/metal..all that being said, I'm not giving up my metals.😌
I sold most my BTC and went into gold when BTC was in the mid $50k. Still have a little and may add more for short term gains to buy more gold. I will be creating content on the subject and have some crypto and BTC folks to interview in 2024. There are some key reasons I left crypto to go into precious metals. I’m very educated on the subject and on banking. What I saw from my research is why I made my choice. Would love to know more about how you came to your conclusions. It’s all about sharing and helping each other learn more in my opinion.
Tonight, Sat my guest on my livestream is a pre-33 gold expert and you might enjoy that livestream. I agree on the pre-33 where most stackers avoid it. It’s with Mike from this video you commented on.
Tom Izzo's brother?
Maybe.
If conservatives understood deficit spending originated with ron reagon fighting russia with every tool available to preserve freedom
it seems like the govt completely discarded anything resembling fiscal responsibility in the late 90s, they “balanced the budget” in the mid 90s and then they were off to the races
Reagan certainly did deficit spend but our debt:gdp ratio was so much less, Washington still pretended to care about spending.
Now govt spending is the only thing holding up our economy, the tank is almost empty but I’d they take their foot off the gas the car will crash
A much longer conversation for a video someday. The problem in my opinion started with the introduction of the Unconventional Federal Reserve Bank charter being approved in 1913.
Blah blah blah. Too much talking and a bunch of hot air
Thanks for watching.
Knowledge is power
We can learn by others..
So stop crying
TIL that there is no reporting when selling american gold and silver coins.
