Just came across this video! WOW what a Torino Cobra! I have been a fan of the 1970/71 Ford Torinos, ever since they came out. I have the 1970 "Car Of the Year" Motor Trend magazine, that I bought new. I bought my 1970 Torino GT 351C in September 1973, five days before I met my wife. We sold it in December 1975, due to orders for Germany and I was told that the Torino was TO BIG for German streets! To this day, I still hold my brother responsible for me getting rid of my "Dream Car". I did buy another 1970 Torino Fastback in 1992, but it never could be equal to my Torino GT! When I see cars like this one, it brings back all my memories of the cars I owned. WAY BACK WHEN! Thanks Dennis for sharing this car with us! 😀

Born and raised in Wylie for almost 40years. We used to be hidden behind corn fields over by Dennis house. I used to walk by Dennis's house and dream about the cars that were out front. Dennis, d.o you remember the toy Ferrari Testarossa you had out front. That thing was amazing to see when you're a kid. I was so envious.

A little extra info about the Lorain assembly plant. I grew up in the town that it bordered. The assembly plant was in Lorain, Ohio, but the holding lot and rail shipment area was in Vermilion. Almost everyone in Vermilion worked at the Ford plant or US Steel in Lorain. It was sad to see it close.
Ohio plates list the county the car is registered in, not the city. The car could have been from any city in Lorain County. Cool car for sure. Thanks for sharing!

Dennis! I have been a Shelby Mustang and Torino fan my whole adult life. I was talking out loud at 3:30 am as you were describing this Torino Cobra. A lot of watchers don't know about the Torino Cobra. But it is a Awesome Ford. Also the 3 Torino King Cobra's. In Yellow, Orange and Red. That were prototypes. For NASCAR. Never made it to the tracks. Outlawed by NASCAR. I had a Torino with a 302 1970. But got to drive a 1971 Torino with a 429 SCJ Automatic with 3.55 gears out back. A Maroon with a yellow lazar stripe and Black Comfort Weave buckets seats and Black slats. It was scary fast. Listening to that 4 barrel suck air threw that hood scoop. Just a amazing car! Love the video's. Shawn

Years ago I remember a car that was a Torino body but had Falcon badges and it was referred to as a factory drag car. It had the 429 ci with the 4 speed and a locker rear axle. It had no options at all, no heater and a rubber floor mat and a few other deletions to keep the weight down. I helped a Classic car dealer get it and a Yenko Nova to a sale in Carlisle, PA.

I believe the 70-71 Torino’s are gonna b the next big thing! They have definitely been left out in the cold so to speak. They have been overshadowed by the mustang for ever!
Thanks for your knowledge and enthusiasm for blue oval muscle.

When I was a kid (I was 10 in 1978)we had a neighbor that was old and always took our wiffle balls and stray frisbee throws and always threatened to cal the law. Remember him?
But his son had a green 70 Cobra in dark green. It was LOUD and had slots with Firestone white letter bias ply tires that I don't recall what the letters read.
    Love it !!!

I got lucky enough to find your station. Love your channel. What your doing is totally amazing. Knowing your cars is great. Not many guys like you left. Yes factory muscle cars are great. American engineering at it's best. Thank you for sharing this ford super cj. Love it love it. Dad bought mom one from the factory. Was an 71 blue with the stripes that change colors on the bottom. Had 351 Cleveland factory Hurst 4 speed posi rear end. She would let me change gears when she race other cars sometimes. If you ever run across one please give me a shout out. Thank you again.
