These are seen as "leverage" when we thought we can recover some losses by doubling up, chasing hard or even showing hand on to get more or get debt recovery. Unknowingly this ignorant action is in fact the " igniting rootcause" to bigger debts. If you buying for leisure at 5% of your income for some 4D/TOTO etc... I see it's still fine , however given our local " society, peer pressure" in Singapore, we often will look up to others who live in big bungalow, condo or drive BMW /MERC etc, with such competitive environment that we are living in and we are already "comparing" how we are faring against others in monetary terms and status, we have the tendency to reach out for " faster " and easier money which normally do not exist in term term.
