I so happened to stumble on this video clip. Nothing against Li but the start was a little off, control was weak and diction was not ideal. Nvtl, he warmed up to the song eventually and became more confident.

Thanks for kind comment. Kelvin said that he had written his phone number wrongly, so perhaps the organiser could not get in touch with him. If you watch the video ( 斗歌竞艺Taentime 2011) that I had taken on the audition day, Kelvin did seem confused and sounded a bit reluctant when filling up the form! May be he panic and opted to pull out at the last minute as he kept fideting the form. Otherwise with his standard and experience, there is no reason not to get into the audition!
FANTASTIC performance ! Great looks, good voice, a 100% clear-cut inner. At your age, you really have a superstar quality. I felt in th song and the beginning of the song is terribly difficult to enter, the pitch and tempo. You expressed well ! Awesome! Should have done so long time time ago. You did better than some of the youngsters. Hip hip, hurray ! Let's hope a record company will sign you up. I'll buy your CDs definitely. CONGRATULATIONS !!!
Also if all goes well, I may be having a solo mini concert either in May or Sep this year. Sorry for late reply as I've been very busy at work and traveling quite a bit. Have a great weekend. Li Qing Feng

I attended one "Birthday Variety Show" yesterday (22 Oct 2011) at Taman Jurong CC. The singing performance by the students greatly impressed me! 每个都能唱能演! 都有大将之风! All dressed to kill! All sing with Live Band. I congratulated their teacher Gao Fei. Do you know him? He has classes at Jurong West Blk 501.
Congratultions Qing Feng! Well done! You look young like haven't reach 黄金年華's age! Concert is good exposure and a confirmation of your singing standard! Which KTV do you normally go? Btw , a bit of concern for the turn out at the concert. It might be diluted as it clashes with 凌霄霄洒演唱会 at 5pm at the same place. My teacher 张金泉 is also performing on the same day! Wish you all success! We attend 张金泉 lesson every Thursday 5.30pm at Ayer Rajah CC. Any friend want to join us? Come drink coffee!

Thank you for your concern, I do realize that there about 4 or more Chinese pop concerts on 03 December 2011 nationwide. Well, being a newbie, I am thankful I don't feel so much of pressure. Hi arhlimpapa, OIC then the more he should try again but personally I still feel Ming ke is not easy to handle. Next round ask him to write his home correct add & phone on a card and bring along to fill up the form. That way, he won't make any mistake with his contact. I hereby wish him all the best. @doublebass1966 Charlie is going. He is more than qualified. I cannot lah! KTV singing still can. Friends always like my crowning around with my "outburst" of "ni dao di ai wo bu ai"! My teacher had teased me that if I can "burst" the KTV sound system (Funny! Which I often did at his class) he will make me the champion in his students contest! LO!. By the way, laoshi had many very good singers whom I can't even beat them let alone the national golden age contest! Just have fun singing.
@doublebass1966 I told him many times to join 张金泉's class so that an experienced and qualified judge-teacher can guide him and give him some good pointers. He is busy now and couldn't find the time as he has project in his work to complete. He is earning $4K a month. I "draged" him there because he is really good. For myself, I am still a bathroom singer.Still far below standard. Dare not compete without order from my teacher.
