    Hey guys please let us know what other models this video applies too. So far 5L and 3L. Thanks

      Also applies to the 2LT. Maybe the 2LTE. Not the 2L, as it has the older style head.

    just did mine today. Was a bit of a pain getting all the marks lining up, extra hands helped in the end. Turned it over a few times and it all looked good so hopefully she runs sweet when i start it tommorow. Mine was missing the rubber collar on the timing pointer, (the pointy needle thing that you stab your hand on) it ran well before so hopefully it doesnt matter too much.

    How did you loosen the camshaft sprocket centre bolt? It seems that it was already loose as you just undid it by hand. Did you loosen it before the timing belt came off?
    I am wanting to replace the seal on mine but don’t want to try loosening it incase the sprocket moves too far

    Excellent video. Thanks. I used it to do my 3L. Everything was exactly the same. Makes me wonder if I could drop a 5L in as a replacement. And even using a Torque wrench, it was a shit load (had to lean on it fairly hard). Now to find out how to reset the t-belt light.

      Yes similar..........bit harder to get at, its the Isuzu Rodeo in England I think 3.1 diesel. I am ready for the job, most probably one day to do. Just have to compare all essential parts and hefty torque wrench with price at garage. the DIY mechanics just DO NOT LIKE doing cambelts ha ha

    did you start the engine as normal to undo the crankshaft bolt?
    Do you not need to disconnect glowplugs to prevent the engine from actually starting up when removing the crankshaft bolt?

    Great video. Done most jobs on my 5L but not this one. "Tighten it up a shit load" too funny. You know if you hear it crack back it off half a turn. (Old Joke). Pretty scary stuff cranking the motor to get that balancer nut off. Well done cheers. Mind you I don't feel any more confident after watching though. Bye the way where was that link you promised?

      @thericesquad Před 7 lety +1

      Thanks for updating the link. Well I done the job! All went as you showed, Thanks a lot.
      I had a pig of a time removing the crank cog, but besides that all went as planned. I changed all the other belts as well. The only thing is, I now have an annoying tappet type tick that was not there before. These things are sent to try us. Maybe it is new belt related. But it is operating well besides that noise.
      By the way resetting the T belt light is easy. Remove the dash and behind the instrument cluster you will see a Phillips head screw and a empty screw hole adjacent to that one. Take the screw out and place it in the empty hole. Job done.
