I like the 2 stroke ones with separate oil tank and total loss oil burn off, I seen one on a generator and filled it with synthetic 2 stroke quicksilver oil. It ran good and no smoke.Shell rotella T1 low ash also works also! The oil metering injection feed pump was mechanical and driven of the front of the engine.
I still use Deutz tractors from mid 70s, not Deutz Allis junk. They are the most dependable tractors I’ve ever owned and only use half the fuel of my other name brand tractors.
That runs a separate oil tank and buns off the oil as it runs. I have seen some smaller air cooled diesels lister petter and deutz that have separate oil tanks and you just add oil as it burns off. I poured in synthetic 2 stroke oil in one and it ran great and cleaner.
That’s a massive potential 2 stroke right there. It’s git full skirt pistons and room to cut ports into each barrels. I can obtain a twin and run it like a 2 stroke with separate oil feed of amsoil dominator 2 stroke oil

I am facing problem to rectify the cylinder head overheating defect of F8L413f type Duetz engine. kindly share the probable causes and remidial measures to adress this issue.

oh i saw the guy below this. It probably wouldn't work because they run hot already. When you add in manifolds and what not around the jugs, you decrease the amout of surface area for cooling. With twice the amount of explosions, it will most likely run so hot that you might as well run it without oil and pin it open.
I did my apprenticeship with Deutz in Australia working with these engines and I really enjoyed it. I miss sound these old girls make.

Needs that Top Cover on . They melt Down without it . Great Engines though . Been around as a Maker for a VERY LONG time .

An 8 to 13 port design would work with a rotary trapping exhaust valve or make it a uniflow 2 stroke with exhaust valves

I will run nothing but 2 stroke oil and blend it into the fuel in take for total loss lube oil burn off.

Superb air cooled monster. This 17 litre V8 should have twin turbos which look to be removed..
This should be a F8L413 with 12.8 litres and no turbo
This engine was built in MAN KAT with two turbos, intercooler and tourque converter gearbox.
