Scam alert involving Publisher's Clearing House contest

- The Better Business Bureau is warning about a scam involving the Publisher's Clearing House contest that is circulating right now. Three people have turned over tens of thousands of dollars to these scammers.

as I understand it if you're American you pretty much have to have it.
I just got a call from "Dave Sayer" from PCH saying I had won $7,000 a week for life. He asked for an account number to deposit the payments . I asked why they didn't do the notification in person and he said due to covid restrictions they do it by phone! 🤣 😂
Remember everyone,PCH doesn’t contact big winners on social media and would never ask for money nor personal information. If a scammer contacts you contact PCH scam division or contact the Federal Trade Commission directly. Remember you are playing sweepstakes and they are free . I just went through this on Facebook and personal information such as your email address, name, and living address, and phone number is pretty much pubic knowledge nowadays so I had no problem with that however when they ( meaning the CEO I talked to on the phone a guy by the name of David Sayer who sounds like someone who works at the local 7 Eleven or is a telemarketer) told me that in order to active my $5,000,000.00 winnings which includes a brand new truck I would have to send them a gift card of $200 I immediately blocked him and his associate Daniella Lams from my Facebook account and reported them so this proves that when something sounds too good to be true it definitely is!!!!

Well I do believe that people really do Win the PCH Sweepstakes it just take time and Patience and alot of prayers and faith so I really need to see it and now I've been waiting for a dream to come true and I truly have done all that I can do to Win and now it's up to you from the PCH Prize patrol to let me please see the winners list now right now I've been Trying so hard to Win for so long please let my name be on your list

Just got the call... I've never been cussed out so much in broken English....it was hilarious, I led him on so much....he wanted my checking account number to direct deposit my winnings, I would have to pay 99.00 processing.... I gave him fake numbers.... he was pissed once I scammed him...lol
I just got an email from a friend telling me my name is listed as a big winner on PCH and have I got the money yet. I didn't have a clue what he was talking about. But apparently, it is SOP. They may have tried to phone me but I don't answer phone calls from numbers I don't recognize. I may be a senior but I am NOT stupid. I feel sorry for people who fall for this.

The FBI needs to step in and hunt these jokers down and make sure they are out in jail for a long time.

ThAnk You I got A call Yesterday saying that I won and that I had to pay the 1% fee which they said comes to 336 dollars I'm glad I talked with A old Army buddy who told Me upfront that it was A Scam and he told me to look up this documentary on CZcams I'm So Glad I did .

I just received a text telling me my cell number had won $50,000. All I had to do was call a certain number and give them my full name. Sounds like a scam to me.
I just now received that very same phone call, boy was I tempted, then came the money up front requirement. I ended the call.

I received an Instagram message the day of our last entry date in April 2022. Dianerlle face was on the profile. They stated I won the sweepstakes for thousands a week. They ask for your email address your mailing address and your driver's license. They stated they wanted me to pick up my money in person in California or they will send it by mail costing me a fee. I told them to come to my house or I can wait to catch a plan since I have family out there. They would not have it. Please be careful. I almost feel for it. I have reported this to PCH. They are very tricky and they know all about PCH, so watch yourself. I don't want this to happen to anyone else.

I've gotten a couple calls, late night hours. Saying I'm a winner. I laughed and told them if I won, deliver it. Now I get a letter in mail that has mobile service advertising. I'm sadden to say I don't want to even enter to win.
I was told i won 850,000.00 and i had to pay150,000 in taxes, that had to be paid by the middle of the next week
I’ve read that they send a letter with a check and when you try to deposit it, it’ll bounce and you have to pay them back. Anyone have any info on that?
Yes I received one of those letters. The check looks real.
I was also contacted about a government loan that if you don't have the money to pay it back that's OK and everyone in need is okayed Noone is turned down when you call back you are told you don't qualify for that but they can combine all your debt and reduce what you own then you can make smaller payments to pay them off faster but after they take the first payment they contact you and say sorry none of your bills are ones we work with but they keep taking your money because you signed up for thier help
I was hacked by someone claiming to be publishers clearing house . They called my house and said they were bringing the paperwork over that day.

Yes, those scammer are still out there on facebook. When I say a few words they unfriend me and disappear.

Blessing clearing House should be holding responsible for their contest because of these scammers I lost my account and ability to enter cousin this one person Angela Collins in the California coastline she scanned my account saying I want her husband
I just received a call from PCH Todd Sloane president saying that I want $250,000 and a Mercedes. They indicated they would they would send me an email on how I could collect my winnings.

Just got a FB msg from some one trying to scam me... From a person I barely know msged me out of the blue saying he won 50k and gave me a number to text because he saw my name on their win list lol
Pch doesn't call you or ask you to pay in to it. Ive played it and won small sums twice off of the scratch off game. And they just sent the check in the mail. Or if it's a big prize they will just show up.
I was harassed. Told I won 3,500,000.00 but needed to send in 2,000.00 before release to pay IRS taxes. Went all the way and got money ordered. Dod research and found address is private home. Calls continued days later.😢
And i was going to Walmart or Walgreens to get a money card to claim my winner

No less than 20 calls from Publishers Clearing House I notified Publishers Clearing House they told me they send mailings to winners they do not call winners
I have been playing for 7 Years and i was told I won my s.s card id card and I 2:14 have to win and i had to pay for my win 300.00 500.00
Just don’t click links and don’t answer the phone and click decline
They just called my husband and asked for 400.00 for his prize of 8million a Mercedes bendz and 7000.00 a week when we refused to pay they hung up

Dollars a piece. I bought the Final Card last week Friday and now she is saying that I have to pay $200.00 dollars more for Delivery Fee for My Winnings Package.

They just scammed some old folks I know, blew their entire savings... This scam is ongoing.

@@jennifergrey6089 I'm not sure of the exact amount, but it was well in the thousands of dollars. Sad that people do this to the elderly, it's equivalent of homicide in my book, because these criminals take their ability to survive away. It's a slow death.

I recently been getting 25000 emails an calls from everyone of said PCH people ther hounding me to get a gift card or any kinda card with 50 to a 100 dollars an said I have to activate my winnings

This is true got the call had won 18.2 million and a new Lincoln town car . Won't me to go and purchase a credit card for 250.00 and send it to them and then my car would be delivered to me. Told the guy I wasn't going to do this, and hung up . He called me back again and I gave him a bolin out . He did not call back, this guy was very pushy .

The scam I got from pch said I had to buy a currency stamp for the money I was going to win it was 5 thousand something dollars for the stamp but they were going to except 40 dollars lol

He used a friends Facebook page and I thought it was my friend I was talking to and he told me that he had received his check and a box of cash $100,000.00 and it real a showed me pictures of all that, and told me has been trying too get ahold of me for many days now and I never friended him for years I’ve seen his profile coming up many times and never friended him because I’m really not involved in this Facebook thing, I have it for other reasons, I told him It’s a scam and no he showed me many pic’s like I said and was like just do it, it will pay in the end, I’ve pad all my bills off and I have a new car coming jut do it it’s real , I got mine and they come to your door with cash , so I researched PCH and found no scam’s and It’s the same guy in there sight Thomas David, so he created or hacked their page as well, because I trying looking at it again after I sent the money and it was no longer available for the public, you couldn’t search on any of it, probably do to the lawsuits going on with them, man he got me good, this really hurts I don’t have a job and I’m getting forced out of my apartment right now and no real place to go, my uncle is dying and they sold his home where I rent, I prepared for this day along time and payed all my bills to zero and now I’m back to where I was , in debt $$12000.00 I payed him with EVERYTHING APPLE PREPAID CARDS $500.00 each one and I bought 22 of them, and there was 4 of them he never got, but I can’t return them, the store doesn’t do return’s on them so I’m stuck with $2000.00 apple cards I don’t have any use for, and what stoped me was the way he put his word together at the end , and I new right then, why would my friend even say that, this is not my friend and I went to my other friends house knowing that he would give me his phone number and I called and asked him WHEN IS THE LAST TIME WE TALKED WITH EACH OTHER , oh gee it must be 4 or 5 years, and oh man what a sick feeling, and he said that he’s been having many problems with his hacker and there are others friends that got the same issues through his Facebook page,
I still have the conversation we had and I was going back and forth with Mr Tomas David and my friend and they are the same scum on tow different hacked sights.
