Sadly, banks continue to stumble, mortgage rates is on the rise with higher imports and lower exports, yet the FED is to lessen cost. So, where do we grow and safeguard our money now? something will eventually break if they keep raising interests and quantitative tightening.

Well agreed, I'm quite lucky exposed to finance at early age, started job at 19, purchased first home at 28, got married shortly afterwards to raise kids early. Going forward, got laid-off at 40 amid covid '19 outbreak, immediately consulted with an advisor in order to stay afloat and after subsequent investments, I'm barely 25% short of $1m ballpark goal as of today.

Something similar happened to my parents (maybe early 2000’s I think). The bank was supposed to send 1,018 dollars to my parents but somehow they added a couple zeros and the bank accidentally sent them a whopping $1,018,000. My parents did the same thing as the woman and told the bank about it. The bank got back their money but as a reward, they left my parents the interests which were like 4,000-5,000 dollars.

      Umm...no.
      That's not how it works.
      1. How the hell would the bank "find out" when they're the ones that made the deposit in the first place? 🤔
      They're already aware. 🤦
      2. Legally, I could keep every dime of that money! Its NOT my fault that THEY weren't paying attention! As far as I'm concerned, that's a gift and I'm NOT giving it back! Even a court judge will say once a gift has been given, it's no longer yours!
      3. No, I wouldn't go to jail for fraud because I'm NOT the one that committed any fraudulent acts! Keeping money that was literally gifted and deposited into MY account by some million/billion dollar bank/company/organization, etc. that would screw me over ANY chance they got because they don't care about consumers - that's on them! That's THEIR fault! That's NOT my problem! REGARDLESS if it was by "accident" or not!

@@Emma.S. there was a couple that borrowed 200K. Bank made mistake and deposited 20Mil instead. Couple withdrawn the money and left the country. USA is still chasing them for that lost money. My point is going back to the bank and telling them is the dumbest thing that can be done!!! I used to deliver pizza. I deliver to a party and the tip was about a 100 bucks. I said something. Something similar happpened to a relative. The account showed an amount equivilent to a months wages. The bank was notified & said some one had deposited it into account, parhaps gambling’s. They advised the relative that they couldn’t return it to the parson who deposited it, that it legally belonged to the relative . The relative withdrew the cash, then closed the account, after which, they opened a new account and deposited the money . Later they gave one fifth of it to a charity, bought presents for family members. The relative hadn’t used that particular bank account regularly, as they lived outside of the city. The bank didn’t print out past transactions, but they questioned the relative along the lines of, Q. Do you have a family member who gambles? It looks like someone was using the account to claim winnings. The relative was upset, that they were unable to trace the person who deposited the money. But when they told people of their dilemma, money being deposited by persons unknown, everyone laughed and said wish someone would place money in their accounts, or pity it wasn’t a few million , ha ha, next time ask the universe for a larger amount. Life is strange and the relatives still tease one another about the money. The relative was upset that the bank questioned them, was it a relative who used the account, because all the relatives had larger bank accounts from their professional earnings. Whereas they were a lower pain pensioner. Yes it was an emotional time for them., but the money was spent to help younger nephews and nieces, so they had no complaints about the unexpected gifts. 😘🙏👋😊😃

They will debit $37m from the account because it is NOT the account holder's money. They will either contact the account owner to apologize for the error or if enough time has passed, someone will be getting a visit from some officers.
