A clue I haven't seen mentioned in any of these comments for this decision across multiple vids is that the fan in Kate's chamber was spinning faster compared to Erin's. This could have been a clue to show there was more air in Kate's chamber for whatever reason
it's an impossible to notice clue, also nobody would know if that vent is vacuuming air or it's giving air to the chamber, very impossible to decide what to do, that was i think only 50%-50% and kill who you liked less
I think I clue that could have hinted that there was a leak was if Kate's gadge thingy was somewhat lower than Erin's implying that Kate had more air especially since you can see it in multiple shots
The only logic I can really find here is that you have to play the scene the way the character would. I would have loved to see some kind of indicator within the scene itself that both can walk away, but if we weren't controlling her, Jamie 100% would have chosen to save Erin so that's the way to the best outcome.
Anybody else choose “kill Erin” because they thought since she has an inhaler she’d be alright? That was my logic then accidentally chose to kill Kate. Thank god I did 🤣
yes i thought she was 100% going to use the inhalator because the previous times she needed it i never used it so i was left with the inhalator full of oxygen to use, then the developers became evil

I know what you mean. That scene was just a 'plot hole' I was really unsatisfied with. It was supposed to play both scenes of 'Erin dying' / 'Mark saving Kate' at the same time once Jamie chose nobody.
Before they were even invited to the island, Dumet picked Mark and Kate to survive to the end. So they have more plot armor than the others. If you see the bad end or discover the files Dumet had of his victims, you can see what he does to the remaining 2

i really wish kate wouldn't get out without the lever being pulled when you run out of time. it would have worked to have both of them die, or the lever to stay the same but kate noticing the leak, therefore getting out. another alternative is mark realizing jamie isn't going to make a choice, so he rushes to save kate
Erin having asthma and air leaking at kate place indicating erin have shorter time surviving that situation, so save erin then you have much more time figuring out how to save kate considering she can survive much more longer in that room than erin, just my thought tho

I really wish that instead of guessing, there is a certain sound cue. Like if you were wearing a headphone you can hear the louder hissing sound on Kate's side.

If you choose to save Josh, Ashley will die, but if you choose to save Ashley, both will survive because it was all a trick made by Josh (really fucked up). Really interesting to see the same choice in this game. I think the game wants the player to choose like the character so, in this case, the only choice for Jamie is to save Erin. I think in Until Dawn is harder because Chris is between his crush or his best friend. Jamie didn't really like Kate in the first place 🤣 Anyway, this was a really good game 👌
This games are getting worst, i mean they doesnt even put logic into the decision you could think of everything and the result of a very logical desition could be ultra random

Instead of this scene it would be surgery,where Jamie,mark,and Kate discover Erin’s still alive but as a dummy,her chest had been cut open and her heart is beating but then stops,killing her
