The person singing & playing the piano is actually Adam Wakefield & the guitar player is Casey James, this is actually only 2/5 of Texas Hill. Tim & Adam Wakefield wrote this song, & I personally cannot sit still whenever I hear it. Home Free never tries to fool you, if they have instruments you will see them, & that's what's happening here in this video.
Home Free started in 2001 by Chris and Adam ( Beatboxer) Rupp. Chris left in 2016 to pursue a solo career. They won season 4 of The Sing Off In 2013.
Texas Hill had 3 members Craig Wayne Boyd, Casey James( Guitar ) and Adam Wakefield (Piano, Lead in this song ) Craig has left the group and they have added three new members Bart Walker, Louis Winfield, and Clark Singleton.Adam Wakefield grew up on Texas Hill Road in Plymouth New Hampshire that’s where the name came from .Casey James is from Fort Worth Texas

HF will show you the instruments, so you KNOW when they are not begin totally a capella, with the exception being Save the World where you never see the piano and synthesizer, but they are fairly obvious in their sound.
You have only done fewer than 100 HF reactions - their official video count is over 160, plus things like the Church Sessions and collaborations with Peter Hollens- Amazing Grace, 19 You & Me (yes, there are two versions).
Well Texas Hill used to be 3 guys, Adam Wakefield (pianist), Casey James (guitarist) and Craig Wayne Boyd. Apparently, Craig wasn’t there as the other two voted him off….(might be that he didn’t want to tour as much?) but don’t know. And they’re getting 3 new guys to join the band so they will be a band of 5 guys soon. Adam Wakefield (came in 3rd on the Voice) and Tim Foust wrote the song. It’s original. Casey James came in 3rd on American Idol, so talented guys too. They have musical instruments in Save the World, So Long Dixie and this song. The rest are all a cappella. I don’t mind the music. Love this song!
Inspiration behind the song was this song was that Tim, Austin, and Adam Wakefield of Texas Hill wanted to write a nice catchy song that sounded like it would be a theme song to a 90’s TV sitcom, and came up with this.
The piano player…Adam Wakefield, is actually from New Hampshire…., but, sounds like he’s from the South. This was filmed east of San Antonio….out in the countryside. If you watch him when he kicks the piano bench back….the goofball is barefooted 😵💫🙃🎵🎶‼️
PS: Home Free has a couple hundred songs in their catalog (not even counting their "behind-the-scenes" videos, other non-music content/skits, and their individual channels!) and you've only done 94 so far...so you've still got about half of their stuff to hear!! Usually when they collaborate with artist who are instrument centered they honor their colabs format, but interesting Rupp is almost always doing the percussion or harmonica. Adam Rupp's brother is Chris Rupp.
Home Free won The Sing-off, an a capella contest in 2013. The two founders, Chris and Adam Rupp, and Rob Lundquist, are from Minnesota, Tim Foust is from Texas, Adam Chance, who joined the group when Chris Rupp left, is from Alabama, I think, and Austin Brown is from Georgia
Big brother Chris Rupp is now singing with 7th Ave. Their sister Tristin is also part of that group. They have a great version of Uptown Funk.

A 2 person crew can move that piano. But you wouldn't want to carry it any further than you had to. I moved many pianos when I worked for a moving company, so it can be done.
The piano was probably lifted by a crane.
I dont know what they used to get the piano out there but two big strong men can indeed lift one of these. My ex husband used to move pianos for a living.. What I wanna know is, Where is the third member of Texas Hill.. He's nowhere to be found !! Anyone know ??

"A capella" uses no instruments. This song and a few more of Home Free's newer songs do use real instruments...a guitar, violin, or piano...so not truly a capella.
Adam Rupp, Austin, and Chance can all make pretty good electric and/or steel guitar sounds with their vocals; they're just not doing it here. 👍😉
But it's usually the non-Home Free guys who have the instruments.
