My favorite part of this song is Tim's constant, beautiful rumble underlying the entire song.

Texas Hill at the moment has only two members.
Actually, they claim to have a total of 5 members now. They apparently "voted out" the founder of the group. I noticed a new guitarist at their Christmas show last December. He didn't sing any leads though...just harmony. I do like Adam's voice, though. He does remind me of Chris Stapleton....mixed with a little Bob Seger. Casey plays a mean guitar and sings really well, too. I kinda miss the other guy, though. He had a great voice too.
Adam Wakefield has such a soulful sound and of course Home Free steps right up to deepen the sound.
This is an original by Tim and Adam Wakefield (on piano). This is definitely in my top 5 faves off of the new album. So good. Thanks Chris and Matt. 🍟

Austin did an interview last week and said he loves being on the road with Texas Hill. I guess they end up relaxing after the shows backstage singing and playing until the venue kicks them out (2 am). Of course, taste beverages in hand because post show hydration is important.

Here's a comment, just for you. Also this is an original by Tim Faust and Texas Hill.
So, HF does not need power for the flat bed trailer, nor Adam on the piano, but Casey needs power for his amplifier so a portable generator would work. Notice at the 3:00 time and again at 5:25 of the video, it looks like one or the other sitting on the ground next to the piano. Behind the camera a crew member will play the studio recording while the guys actually sing along with the recording to avoid the look of lip syncing on the video. Apparently, Casey was actually playing the guitar for his part of the song as well, so they were all really performing the song on the video, although we are hearing the studio recording of it.

This is one of the originals from the new album. This was written by Tim and Adam Wakefield (from Texas Hill) the pianist. Casey James was the guitarist. Truly enjoyed watching your reactions to this song.

Great reaction guys! Home Free and Texas Hill sound really good together. There’s another song on HF’s latest album called “So Long Dixie” that you’d probably like. It’s a collab with Chris Chatham.
This is my second favourite off the album and it’s definitely a bop. Such a cool bluesy sound yet somehow really uplifting. I love it when these two bands collaborate!
And don’t even get me started on BTS! Probably the best BTS ever!! And boy oh boy there’s been some great ones before 😂
Definitely a fun collab with smooth Rob and gritty AdamW. Another reactor heard a similarity to Randy Newman (his 'Toy Story' songs) so now notice that with each subsequent listen. LOL Don't mind this as an ear worm...just wish it were longer.

Love the song - if country & blues had a baby, this would be it. Great live stuff is on the public stream of "Sweet & Low Music Co." - a side project of Tim, Austin, Chris Chatham, Jeffrey East, Ernie Halter & Louisa Marion (they're all singer/song writer/musicians). One of their guests was Adam Wakefield and they played "Givin' Up On You" with keyboard, fiddle, guitars & just about everything else you can play - just terrific.
Tim disclosed when they were in San Antonio that this was filmed in San Antonio; judging from the scenery most likely out in the back woods of what we call the Hill Country area.
I know some people don’t like instruments being used in a capella music, but I like a little change and diversity here and there. There are 2 songs on their latest album (there may be one more, but I can’t recall now) that have an instrument or two being played.
