Not really a Sheeran fan, but there's something about seeing this guy who's clearly a huge fan of The Darkness looking like a child on Christmas morning this whole video that warms my heart.
Honestly... I am constantly shocked at how incredible Justin always sounds. What a freaking voice!

Saw him and the Darkness live back in 2010 I believe. I couldn’t believe how they sounded EXACTLY like the studio recording. Justin’s voice is impeccably on point.
For such a high vocal focal point of a vocal range (see what I did? Did ya see it?) it's actually genuinely bemusing how immaculately his voice has held up.
Eds got great taste. The band are impeccable live as always. Dan's solos, Justin's vocals and Frankie and Rufus' groove. Gutted I missed this one. Next anniversary guys 👍

Ed a rocker at heart I think, I heard him talk about the music he listened to growing up, was a lot heavier than one would expect given what he dose himself
I was thinking the same thing. No pressure, just have fun. It’s rock and roll. Throw away the polish and go for it.
I saw a video (I think at NAMM) where he was talking about Nuno being his favourite player then busted out some pure shred on a superstrat.
@@honeybadger9425 I think he just loves music, it's well documented he loves Hip-Hop too, even has an album full of Hip-Hop features. Seems like a really down to earth, likeable guy.
@@markob53 fully agree, seems like he gets a lot of unwarranted hate just because he's popular. I saw him play a free gig in Camden before be became super popular. He did 3 back to back mini shows as there were so many people and when the venue kicked him out, he took to car park to play some more for the people that couldn't get in!
The Darkness has the power to make me enjoy Ed Sheeran. They are mighty indeed.

A few things… Justin’s solo towards the end is amazing, as his solo’s have always been (he’s even fret-tapping for a few seconds!), Ed playing electric guitar is absolutely ace, and also let’s just appreciate how good the sound mix is on this, the drums in particular are so full and punchy, it’s EPIC! Also possibly the only time we will ever hear Ed sing Falsetto…
2nd guitar is a tad too high most of the time, that is the only little flub i noticed. Got to ride those faders to the end of the gig, man...
Incredible vocal harmonies!!! You guys fuckin rock what a tune.... what a band. Your the reason i picked up the guitar!! Never looked back. Thankyou The Darkness!!

Great performance by all. It was extremely generous of The Darkness to allow this little fellow from the audience to have his moment in the sun. “Soaking up the moment” as Mr. Frankie Poullain might say.

@@jonathanharvey2156 In my case, it was more of a setup for my reference to an amusing conversation between Justin and Pat Finnerty about something Frankie once said to Pat on stage during his guest appearance with The Darkness.
To let some local special needs kid come up and have this moment was awesome!!!!
This was magnificent, clearly enjoying their guest, Ed Sheeran, Rufus ‘Tiger’ Taylor on the drums and rock & roll royalty behind the scenes with Rodger Taylor at the show! Pure joy!

The Darkness deserves much more subscribers than 100k. I wish people could realize like I did that they're not some joke band, and they have a catalogue filled with fantastic songs. Twenty years ago I remember seeing the music video for I believe in a thing called love, and immediately went out and bought the CD after hearing their other hit, growing on me. Justin Hawkins rides again is a great channel too. I don't know what more you could want from a band. They do heavy and soft songs equally, have some of the coolest guitar solos, have great music videos, play great live, and are genuinely good people. Here's to 2024 being the year of The Darkness.

I’ve watched this at least 3 times a day for the last week leading into Xmas. You’d think Ed’s been playing with them for years. This is soo tight. The way they let each other take the lead but always come back together is amazing. Rufus running the show from the first hit and Justin’s out of this world harmony. Thanks guys for being the soundtrack of my Xmas 2023

I was taken to see deaf leopard back in 2003 and the darkness supported them. I was not quite sure what I was seeing at the time as it was bonkers rock but grew to love it

YES! I keep forcing myself not to burst into tears, it’s probably a mixture of nostalgia and I don’t know what else, they soundtracked my childhood with this album, and this HAS never sounded better!

Bar none one of the best live bands. Saw them in Sacramento California on the latest tour and they were phenomenal. Darkness fan 🤟 for life. Go see this band whenever they are anywhere near you. You'll love the experience.

Saw them a few months ago at Terminal 5 in NYC. What a blast. They really put on a full show. Rock and Roll turned to 11 with some humor mixed in. Only knew a few tunes going in but it didn’t matter. I was thoroughly entertained.
Seriously, check out all their albums. There's some amazing album tracks in their catalogue. The Darkness is a kick-arse metal band who have loads of fun playing live and you'll know more of their songs than you realise.

@Nick.Webster who buys albums? Don't you stream? CZcams music will find CZcams videos, and play them for you anytime. There is also software to extract the audio from CZcams videos for free. And neither one of these chaps need any "help in the charts" lol
@@Savagefred loads of people buy albums! Streaming pays artists an absolute pittance compared to actual sales (especially CZcams music, that one’s the bottom of an already pretty terrible barrel) and wanting to support someone for their art is just a great thing for all involved :)
