  • Antique Table Lamp Restoration - Restoration + Reconstruction
    Before I wanted to paint all the components but I discovered that the natural color of the metal is much more beautiful so I kept it to some components. I made a few changes and my imagination run wild :) I hope you like it and if so don't forget about like and subscribe.. and enjoy watching! :)

    ... помню, у моих родителей точно такая-же была настольная лампа, только абажур на ней был салатного цвета, респект тебе и уважуха за вторую жизнь старым вещам, молорик!!!

    As a retired grinder and finish grinder, I used to finish commercial kitchen equipment including joining halves of long tables so that it was not possible to tell that they had been joined. You don't appear to have all of the tools that you could use such as a bench grinder/buffing wheel, and hand tools. If you would put out a call to your subscribers, maybe someone would send you a used bench grinder to rebuild and put in your shop as well as other tools.

    What was the material you used for the shade? Was it regular paper?

    • @TechnicsFR
      @TechnicsFR  Před 2 lety

      Yes it is regular paper, you can use it with no problem only with LED light :)

      @@TechnicsFR Can I get a link to the paper you used? It looks to have some type of pattern

      @@sherryg6501 You don't need a link, it's just regular A4 printer paper :)

    This video is nice but is not a restoration, it is a refurbishment where you are taking a object and making it functional with new parts instead of restoring it to its original condition using (if possible) original parts hope this helps you in the future I appreciate the effort you put into this project but I was cringing so hard at the wire supports and plastic pot for the lamp shade!

      Thank you for your feedback!
      I also mentioned in the title that besides the restoration there is also reconstruction, which can be also rebuilt or refurbishment. I try to be original in my materials, and I am sure that I will come with more and more quality content in the future. Thank you again and I wish you all the best :)

    Lampshade and switch are not suitable for style.
    The rest of the work is done correctly.

      Thanks for the feedback! In this project the past embraces the future, considering that I had to intervene on some missing elements :)
