The good thing about these videos is if you want to make them, you're on your own to figure it out.
Yeah... it's like... what was the liquid at the start? Hot water or a chemical...
Ermm, how exactly is being left to your own devices, a "Good" thing?
@@angelaread234 you didn't get the joke. He's being sarcastic and truthful, this is like the pinterest fail thing; you are inspired, there's instructions, but you're still on your own, welp because you don't have the muscle memory yet to be as clean as the pros, and an average person won't do multiple lamps to get it right (the cost, the heartbreak lol)
@@giyavictoria3747 AND, do your OWN research AND dont TRY anything here IF you dont have any reasoning ability of how things work or know the misfortune of MURPHYS LAW,!!!
hum if you already have the same level of tools, you probably are experienced enough to have a good idea of what she is doing! For the missing part, you do your own research!
They're both awesome, but watching you epoxy that led module into the light was heartbreaking... I've replaced too many led modules that overheated or just died randomly. Always build LED art in a way so you can replace the LEDs. You'd be amazed how often they fail.
My thoughts exactly.
Heartbreaking? Really?
@@anabhousen7159 yes really. things can break your heart that have nothing to do with death or breakups. Example, when I see ignorant people in comment sections acting in an ignorant way, it breaks my heart because I know they could be adding so much more to the world if they learned to turn off the sarcasm and cynicism
@@litebrite8993 it's a two word CZcams comment. It's not that deep. Go outside or something I'm sure you'll get over it.
@@litebrite8993 I'm with you and It also killed me to watch her completely seal off access to the bulbs after all that work. Also these negative mfers in yt comments are tiring.
i just love how the DIY project turned into a 1000$+ full scale professional work.
WOW, now that's just magical! That sphere looks like it's captured a whole new world in it! 👏👏👏 🌎🌍🌏🌌
Safety tip for the chop saw, don't ever cross your arms. Person in the video had bulk of the board on the right, held the board with the left, operated the saw with the right. This sets you up to where you can (though unlikely) end up chopping your arm/hand. Much better to hold the board with the hand on that side, and operate with the other.
There it is. I was wondering if I was the only one that caught that.
What? I really don't understand what you are trying to say, but I'd love to understand. Do you mean, stand by one side of the saw only? That would make it super awkward and thus way more dangerous I think. I don't know where you saw them crossing arms.. ther person crossed the cuttingline after the blade was already still and covered, as one should do. Or so I thought.
@@alodelore9597 for one example, about 0:45, cutting the miter. I'm not reaching a whole video from 3 months ago to see if there are other examples. Workpiece is on the right hand side, held with the left hand, and saw is operated with right hand. If the workpiece is on the right hand side, it should be held with the right hand, and the saw operated with the left hand. This minimizes the (admittedly slight, but still) possibility of cutting into your arm with the saw. You can of course cut with the workpiece on the left side of the blade, in such case hold it with your left hand and operate the saw with your right hand.
It's dangerous to have an unsupported piece between a stop block and the blade. A pinch point is created between two immovable objects (stop block and blade) leaving the unsupported/movable piece to go flying when the blade catches it. Plus, because that piece is part of the finished project, you risk damaging it when it goes flying. It isn't a guarantee this will happen every time (as the video illustrates, it can be okay), but its a guarantee it'll happen eventually. You should always hold onto the portion that is against the stop block. If there isn't enough room for your hand to safely be there to hold it, long pieces of wood (or a pencil, for example) can be used to hold the piece.
Wow that turned out so insanely mid. I thought they might melt the sticks to look like droplets or something.
Insane amounts of work and tools for something that you couldn't pay me to put on display in my house.
The second lamp was way cooler but yeah that first one looks like something a kid would make for all the effort that was put into it.
@@woutertron lol
They should have made interesting resin forms, or use fiberoptics instead of glue sticks.
i just wanna know why they dunked the first one in water
My thoughts exactly Beth C. I saw all the tools they used and the work space !! This is not something I could do, these are professionals. Beautiful work! Now I can appreciate the price tags in some if these items 🤓
The tape and miter trick is awesome. I've been working with wood professionally for a couple decades, and have never seen that trick. Learning something new every day...that's what it's all about!
How she makes a 4 sided box out of the beveled Angeles?!
@@Startupsandsushi Yep. I've used band clamps for that, but never thought of tape!
Those were both gorgeous! It was amazing to see how you created these beauties. Thank you sharing your work & talent!
I must’ve watched 1k hours of wood turning projects and I haven’t seen anything like your lamp. It’s a stunning piece 😎
That second lamp looked really cool. 👍
The 2nd one was really beautiful! Thank you.
I like her concept for the clouds. But I want to do a jellyfish with tentacles that glow in the dark.
@ktearose they sell glow in the dark pain.
As someone else said, Oh wow, especially that second one, it's just absolutely magical and draws you in, love it.
That glue stick thunderstorm is badass!!!
Actually both projects are badass
Stunning
and we all can make one too, just with the tools from our garage 😂
Exactly what I was thinking. DIY, so long as you have a full workshop with £1000s of tools. A lathe... Who has a lathe in the shed? 🤣
That is ART, no DIY. And awesome art
Clever but so many expensive tools
A quedado Chulisima, Pero la Cantidad de Herramientas Profesionales y Caras que tienes ahí eso no lo tiene cualquiera
I really liked the second lamp made from the wood skewers.
Nothing beats the old school oil rain lamps
The second really gives me the impression you were trying to recreate the northern lights over a forest. You succeeded. I have a son who loves does creative wood work ideas. I’ll let him know about your channel, if he hasn’t come across it already. Great work! I wouldn’t want anyone claiming your ideas as their own though. Copyright and patent
Rainstorm 🌧️Brilliant and beautiful 🥰
That's 8 minutes I'll never get back...
The second one looks like a beautiful forest to me Love it
I think it looks like an underwater cave.
Looked like a spaceship to me!
¿Quien no tiene esas herramientas en su caja para hacer cosas así?
Yo
That's not how you use heat shrink electrical shielding but it works!
Ty for putting yourself out there and exposing yourself to criticism. I enjoyed your work. Hopefully you did too and learned things along the way.
Mais où va-t-elle chercher toutes ces idées ? Mon Dieu, quel bonheur d'avoir une femme bricoleuse !
This is actually sick
Both awesome and unique projects!
Oh yeah I can smell the resin and wood dust
This is beautiful, but it's misleading to call this DIY. DIY implies it's something the average person can do, which this isn't. It also implies that the video is in enough detail to teach someone to do it, which this isn't. Just call it "Artist makes incredible lamp using glue sticks".
I came here to say this.
This isn't craft hour, this is a DIY video. Believe it or not, many DIY'ers may want to learn to do soldering, etc (and this may be an inspiration) or actually know how to do these things. It's okay to recognize different levels of DIY projects.
You are wrong Beth.
"DIY" literally just means "do it yourself". It has nothing to do with your skill level.
@@spiwolf6998 Its not only the skilllevel but also the equipment. You need a lot of specific and professional equipment for this. DIY is kind of outer range
Just a suggestion for the first one. Instead of using wood for the cloud. Wouldn't it have been better to use some sort of cotton. That way the cloud looks like lightning inside it? Plus less heaving on the glue sticks.
that 2nd one was AWESOME!! 😎😎😎🔥🔥🔥
Awesome video
Cool idea. Now all I need is a shop full of drills, saws, and a lot of tools to make it. Seriously, thank you for sharing you talent, ideas and inspiration.
Find a local 'Makerspace' they will have all the tools you need.
I love the second lamp the best
Clever idea putting the wire in the flux first 👍
Amazing project
You know what would be totally handy? A pair of safety glasses for when you're using the power equipment!😊
Just need a 50,000 Dollar workshop!
I loved the project at the end. If I had one of those machines to make one I would try. It's beautiful.
aww if I only...
The tape trick I'm adding to my toolbox. It's a simple one but much needed.
It helps keep down on sawdust for sure, just gotta tape the right side haha. It's also good for cutting dry wall and metal
Totally dope workshop. Love the setup.
The first product was interesting and creative and I enjoyed that you used the combination of wood and electricity. that's great.
Genius at work
Oh WOW ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL 🤩❤️
That's gorgeous! I was trying to figure out what you were doing. Unfortunately, I don't have the equipment like you do, so making one isn't possible, but I love it. Thank you for sharing your ideas with us. I really enjoyed watching you build your resin lamp!👍👍
The second one is so beautiful
I'll just pop in my craft room and throw this together 😂
Wow you are unbelievable. You're proficient in electronics and handle industrial equipment like a pro. Michael Angelo would have felt shy!
DIY!! Lol you have more tools than my school woodworking class did
Nice work to the lady so cool
that is SOOO neat, the first one
5 minute crafts took it up a notch 😂
Oh so beautiful 💞
Absolutely amazed by your creations!! Now for those of us who can barely draw "stick figures", where can I purchase one!?
@@testmeontelemetryTotallHandy23 is there honestly somewhere to buy this lamp I'm in love with it
What a creativity, mind blowing.
Holy crap! You updated the vintage oil lamp and brought it to the 90s. I dig it! Now everyone will take this and put a different spin in it, you've created something great!! This trend will be something certainly to watch grow.
dude i totally love this
Well done! You have a unique imagine. Don’t let the naysayers deter you, they are just jealous of your skills!
What did the soak for the glue sticks do?
I need to know this too!
I think she didnt want the sticks to be completely straight.
It will have been hot water.
The sticks were put in while twisted so that they would slightly melt into that shape, then when they cool they stay twisted.
Even she doesnt know 🤦🏻♂️
I could be totally wrong, but they appeared more translucent to me after she soaked them. I don't think it had anything to do with shaping them as they didn't seem to be twisted after.
Yes, I use the side of a palm sander. Works great.
WOW, some serious ingenuity. Love the pieces. Stay safe and healthy.
Wow, these are amazing!
Everyone: How many tool elements can one have?
Totally Handy: Yes.
Ah so all I need are glue sticks, a rubber band and thousands of dollars worth of power tools. Easy peasy.
Insanely Fantastic.
I could not foresee the finished product. So beautiful.
Do Your Self (*first by equipment for 10000$ and find a place for it) 😂
Cada vez mas sospecho de que este tipo de vídeos están hechos para incentivar a que la gente e compre muchas herramientas .. xD
❤흥미롭고 재밌어요!
Great creative techniques
Absolutely beautiful artinsanity! Quite possibly the most intriguing art “DIY” I’ve ever seen; granted I don’t have the million dollars for the equipment..
Very easy to make sure
Cool. The second one was fabulous.
🐇🕯Beautiful work....There should be more classes like this for young boys...
i like it its not what i was expecting at all
Absolument incroyable de beauté !
Nice globe
Tuyệt vời. Hay quá
Boréale aurore is beautyfull !
amazing
I wish I had a drill press, a miter saw, and a lathe apart from a room of stuff a already have then I could probably call myself a Diyer haha and make two these fancy lamps
I love this channel... True inspiration 😊😮😎😍😍
Next level👍👍
Very nice this lamp with the glue sticks, nice work. Could you tell me the reason for the passage in the water of your glue sticks, I admit I do not understand the reason, is it to make them more "transparent" than they were or is there another reason that escapes me?
Probably to soften them. Glue sticks are stiff but after the water bath, they were more pliable.
These are the DIY projects that you can't DO IT YOURSELF
Oh that…..pfff easy
peasy! Give me 5 mins and I could make both projects, like that 🫰! Ain’t nothin! Ummm….well, are you kidding me?! The directions are wasted on me, couldn’t do it with a map 🤪! Awesome creative work 😊
Her commitment to Flux is Baidu to behold!
Just Wooooww, I love the toothpick ball ❤❤❤ it's amazing thank you
Insbesondere die zweite Version finde ich wirklich schön!
Dürfte in einem Lampengeschäft nicht ganz billig sein..! 😎👍
Wow those came out AMAZINGLY!!! SO SICK!! 😎🤩🤯. I think knowing how the 2nd one, the sphere looked like it was like deep under water or something, I would've had to put a shark or something in middle lol. But wow such talent, I'm in awe!! 🤩😎🤘🏻😁
The first one was amazing.
Second part was good
Someone quick! Launch me into that awesome green aurora area in the middle of that lamp before the epoxy dries.
Good idea....thanks...
That’s badass
