- The 40 something cowgirls group is actually a nationwide organization that gets together and does trail rides all around the country. there's different chapters and there's different groups in different areas. this particular chapter is in South Fort Worth Texas in Benbrook. and their monthly ride which is the first Sunday of every month is open for cowgirls to come and join. the group is dedicated to being politically free, and being mutually supportive of women enjoying equestrian sports, and in particular a good trail ride near water if possible. it was a whole lot of fun and if you're interested check out your local 40 something cowgirl group and join.

I have to say I was impressed with these group of ladies. Nobody was judgmental, it was all about fun and enjoying the beauty of the park and being supportive of everyone. You may see more content from these guys

Allie, the other day when I posting about trail rides, I didn't mean this kind. I meant the ones that people go on... that don't ride horses, and just go on a trail ride, and think they immediately know how to ride, but THIS is completely different and looks like so much fun. I'm interested.
Thank you for your support as always donna. I was very impressed with this group of ladies, everybody was very supportive and we went through some pretty decent obstacles and everybody's horse pulled through, everyone waited for everyone else, and there was no pressure whatsoever. I was told they have lots of local chapters check them out in your area. I'd love to hear what's going on in different parts of the state.
I'll have to check it out. It seems like all the orgs., around here are political and I'm not much for that! Sounds like fun!!

I got my first TWH 3 weeks ago & after he’s settled in I would love to meet other ladies my age to ride with. I didn’t see a chapter in my area- I’m just outside Memphis TN so I will have to see if theres anything else close. Theres lots of trail around, just need the ladies & horses. Thanks for the info, I’ll look more into it.
Hey thank you so much for your comment. I really hope you can find a group of like-minded individuals in your area as well. It's really great to just go out and have fun and sometimes we forget about just having fun and enjoying ourselves. I would just like to add if there's nobody in your area you can always put out like a next door or a Facebook thing and see if you have other like-minded ladies. It's always a good idea to try your local social media and see what's out there you'd be amazed because there's probably a lot of people just like you, I was impressed too. Keep it up girl and have a good time because that's why we have horses.
