Definitely put a drainage system behind the block wall! Making the wall higher/wider makes it more important to have one.
yes agreed
They didn’t learn with the man cave/barn…
Like the gravel they put In Jesus shut up
Lol this is not true at all!

Worst part of having a shop is every flat surface becomes a junk holder! Happy new year boys!
In my humble opinion you should have given that retaining wall a two foot footing (using damp course blocks) and used cement on the block bond. That would guarantee longevity.
They cut a lot of corners. I'm not hating on them, to each his own. They are in a time bind in more ways than one, but doing something right the first time always is best. I know because I built a castle block wall 6 feet high without taking special precautions and had to brace it with timbers when the foundation settled. If I hadn't braced it, it would have fallen over. It was in the woods and couldn't really be seen, so it wasn't that much of a disaster, but theirs is out in the open where everyone can see it.
Agreed unfortunately there is nothing holding that together 😳
It's there lesson to learn lol
@@samuelpankonien4084 ...their lesson...
They'll make a repair video. Simmer down 😉
I for one enjoy the the house video build, and the car video build!
Good to break it it up. Variety is the spice of life ! As you well know 😉 !
Keep doing what Goonzsquad does!
I couldn't agree more 😎👍❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
i always thought those retaining wall bricks were hollow in the middle so that when you lined them up stacked offset that you could put rebar down through the offset tunnel connecting all the layers and then pour cement down into them creating a solid wall that won't fall apart.
what i would do. high rises do it that way
big time! what keeps them from moving like that?
It needs to anchored with rebar. Dangerous and could lead to sudden collapse if sodden. Little things matter and I would not want loved ones near that wall after a few years of winter rains
Exactly.
I'm not even gonna bother explaining how your supposed to do this again. If you have questions about something, you are already on CZcams, search bars at the top.
So happy to see armytrix again! Brings me back to when I was laughing out loud when you guys did the mustang exhaust back in the day. I'll never forget that.
Yo Cj we are waiting on that S1000RR haha

Really love your content brother
Have you guys considered just replacing the entire side an roof as one pice from you parts car and splicing it on the passenger side A, B, and C pillars? That seems like it would make a ton of sense and save you a lot of repair time. Love the content, and can’t wait to see what you guys do to this thing!
I think they need to call V-Tuned to help.
For sure
Or 23rd garage
I don’t understand why they don’t do the easiest Chop replacement of all. Through 6 pillars and slot in the rear fender whilst at it. Just idiots as usual.
Dang son.
They should rename V-tuned’s channel “Ben’s bale-out service” 😂😂🤣😂HNY!
Y’all are just tearing it up with these builds….Truly an inspiration to so many. Keep it up…
tearing it up with these builds? The car/suv is junk lol
@John Y or @Nascarman38 he meant in general 🤡 look at how the cars end up finished and new, cIown.
@@playstationfive5 The car is junk fuckboy
I would protect my House with a waterproof membrane between the house an the soil. Without the rainwater will creep into the wall, this can cause a lot of problems.
I really like your videos, keep on going.
Having spent weeks on retaining wall design- you have 2 issues. 1 you need (need!!!) Geogrid for something that tall. You actually need 2 rows or the odds of it tipping is strong. The other is you need an engineering letter for most walks over 6 feet.
At that height you probably need a hand rail at the top as well and sleeves for the columns are strongly recommended
They did say they may terrace the yard with another wall down lower then the first wall ! But with nothing holding the block in place both walls could fail !
@@tnolan3176 even more reason to have an engineer spec it. Last thing they want is one wall surcharging the other to failure..
@@exportedafrican its for another video. Its all good 👍
@@tnolan3176 yes a second terrace of blocks half the hight of the first would certainly help to restrict travel but I think that block-work is made for flexible banking, not rigid hold-back. - That’s why the developer didn’t pour a rigid retainer wall..
Also needs a perforated pipe at the bottom of the retaining wall with 2 or 3 Ts coming out the wall for drainage.
I've been watching this channel for almost 2 years now. I think its very satisfying watching these wrecked cars become fixed again. Keep up the good work!
Loving the content and vibes ❤ Happy new years everyone!
i look forward to these videos every tuesday, thursday, and sunday. you guys are awesome. hello from a fellow west tennessean! have a good good week guys!
Did I miss a build on the second floor in the shop. I love watching these guys and there builds. Relaxing and cool seeing them rebuild the cars. Learn a lot on the structure of the cars on how they was created.
Right
i wondered the same....steps and windows up there now...maybe thats where the merch is kept.
Billy's paint and plastic work put the builds at another level. These guys are constantly evolving.hopefully they'll stay grounded and not try to spread themselves too thin.I wish them all the best.
Been following for some time. Love your hard work ethic & morals. Keep up the good work.
Good choice of wheels and It's a gd challenge but waiting to see how the boys will tackle that Lambo + I always appreciate you inserting and updating us on the house build. 🏠
A terraced retaining-wall is very nice, we did it at our old house, and if done right, makes the house curb appeal that much more impressive, and instead of a huge retaining wall, you have a much more aesthetically pleasing look.
Fully agree! Would really make an incredible looking place.
Guy's y'all started the new year out right with your hands full getting the wall up working on the urus getting parts can't wait for the next one see you in the next one
Love the content and yea there r sooo many possibilities with the retaining wall, so glad to c the family having a great start to the NEW YEAR 😀 GOD BLESS, GUYS c ya on the next one
Hi Guys! Happy New Year to you and your entire family. Love you guys and I do look forward to seeing your videos. I just watched you building the retaining wall and back filling with gravel and dirt. I think you should put water proofing on the house wall before backfilling to prevent the water and moisture coming in through. I would take a serious look at that before going any further up to the roof down pipe. Again love you guys and enjoy everything you have done so far. 👍👍Peace! ❤️❤️🙏🙏
What a fun video, nice wall on house and those wheels, just awesome!
Hi it's Keith again the guy in Canada with pancreatic cancer who has just turned 65 but I had to write to let you how much I admire and like you for the motivation THANKS AGAIN GUYS
Wow!!! 😮 Another video of building up a retaining wall how exciting.😂
Diggin the rims 🔥
The roof to side body appears to be a laser brazing process. It looks quite similar to a project I worked with. The roof panel joining edge is likely rounded off with a fillet which then sits on the mating face of the side body. A wire fed laser would then run down the seam and fill it with braze. Then a finishing wheel would follow down the seam to smooth it out. A challenge to separate, I’m sure you guys will figure it out… keep up the good work!
Used to maintain a laser brazing cell in a GM plant your spot on I was thinking the same
FCA here, but I'm sure it's a common process. Not sure you could just toss a weld down the seam, might be too much heat. If I remember, brazing is a lower heat process compared to welding. We also had some issues with the braze joint shrinking after cooling which was pulling the roof panel tight across and down in to the cross beams... just thoughts
@@driventofailure same problems for us I’m now part of the stellantis group
Nice, hope to be with them later this year at CPG
Honestly the banter takes so much time lol and the plugs to the sauces and fat finger foods, and definitely the eating lmao always filming lunch like for what?? Idk I've been watching since the fake safe finding video way way back in the day and the quality of the channel has changed for sure

When they dropped that last load of gravel behind the extended wall, you can watch it bulge out. NGL, I think its days are numbered. If you're going to base your entire frontyard and have it butting up against your driveway, this needs to be 100% right. "I hope it won't bulge," "I hope it's strong enough," "planting some shrubs might help..." You're looking at an expensive fix based on some hopes to justify saving a few bucks and a bit of time.
Dont worry-the roots of the bushes will hold it 🤣
@@Forcefed2002 Apparently the loose gravel behind and under it help too. 😂🤣😂🤣
So far out of their depth with the wall.

Who ELSE FAST FORWARD TO THE LAMBO BUILD?
They barely even worked on it lol
All 3 minutes of it !
You guys need to pull a slurry mixed concrete In the wall to make it stay stronger Food for thought
Great work guys keep it up
If the wall is taller than 3 ft, it needs to be an engineered wall. I guarantee you in about 7 years, that wall will start to collapse.
Good thing they have 7 years then. Takes one day
I put mine up 20 years ago and it's still fine its about the same height
7 years 🥱🥱🥱 ur comment is useless.

Please don’t ever stop making youtube videos, I love watching you guys!! ❤❤
No concrete at all in that wall? Or even some draining system? You guys should some wide stone wall, if that was the look seek. With this construction layout, you should lay a concrete slab over it to prevent water infiltration on the soil, and making it falling apart in short time.
Wonder if the Urus doesn't use some specialized rivets to join Steel and Aluminium together without touch the layers together, preventing possible Galvanic corrosion.
Biscayne sounding like bis-Kanye lol 😂😂😂 hilarious! Love you guy!!
Great job guys!
yall are making me want to finish my house ive been screwed again on my ductwork and my heat and air
dang, people really up in arms over that retaining wall eh lol
Those wheels are 🔥. Need a color on that car that pops. Red to match brakes? Lime green, purple. Gotta add another color to the garage!
i was legit waiting all day then just saw this and got very happy
It would have taken little effort to place some corrugated drainage pipe under the gravel back-fill and eliminated any worries of the wall coming down but since the wall is not mortared the run off will probably just seep through the wall. It may need regular pressure washing though.
I would never buy wall stones at home depot to build a wall that high ! Versa lock blocks would have been the ticket ,,,80 lbs apiece and holes for pins to lock the blocks together !!
Definitely stretch it to the driveway. It will have the cleanest look.👍👌
Can’t wait to see the bronco build 😉
Amazing work guys.... 👏 🙌
R.I.P K.Block💔🕊️
Guys, you need to waterproof outside walls that are below ground level. You will possibly get rising damp.
Plus over time with the brick being wet or damp all the time eventually it will fall apart !
Hi goonzquad your exhaust is amazing I can't wait to listen to it hopefully in the next video or other videos you get the Lamborghini running I'm so excited to hear this exhauster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
