4 Green Lizards

- Sorry for the long wait. Real life stuff and what not. Also my word quota in ElevenLabs is out which is why the narration in this one is sparse. But it motivated me to try an experiment some more with a mix of the old style and new style.
The emotes were made by me, except for :slugwoah: and :slugtired: which is from the Rain World official discord server.

Hyper Goblin is the result of a pink lizard eating too much grass, causing their heads to become stained green and become too obese to climb poles. Also somehow made them better at fighting.

I didn't know I needed a steve irwin overseer and its iterator in my life but I'm glad it was given to me by the algorhythm gods. Went back and binged the old stuff, cant wait to see what other wonders this funky little ecosystem spits at us!
I am inclined to beleive that the main reason hyper-goblin lost against Big-head the first time around was because he was hyperfixated (get it?) on climbing out of the G-room which doesn't seem to have any other way out (I have had greens get stuck in there several times yet they always magically appear the next cycle) while Big-head really didn't want Gobby on his property
The fact that hyper-goblin fought all 3 back-to-back and STILL almost won is amazing. Love these videos, will always watch them.

so for the part at 1:13. if a greenzards front limbs are on a platform, it can pull itself up, it can also do a small leap which you can see by letting one chase you. So basically it did a leap onto the platform. My stupid answer would be it flung itself using the body of the bluezard.

By the way, this video really helped me gain an even further appreciation for the diversity of rain world creatures. While I realize that each lizard has a different set of scales, color, etc, I didn't realize that the same species of lizard could have differing head sizes!
I also noticed some smaller details, like Grinch-Hopper having a much more barrel-shaped body and thicker tail than the rest. The slight differences between individuals never cease to amaze me!
On a more personal green lizard-related note: Once, a long time ago, I had a tamed Green named Monstro. Monstro was recognizable by it's absolutely tiny tail! I may still have pictures of them somewhere, but I'd have to look for them. Great video, one of my favorites from you yet!

Are you able to do experiments manipulating a lizard’s stats?
For example, how would the strongest possible blue lizard fare against the weakest possible pink lizard?
I don't know how to do that. But I've heard of some people in the modding community who generated a Scavenger with the highest stats possible. But I'm not interested in messing with the AI code in any drastic way like that.
@@BatFlightThylacine Each id has 5 different factors, creature appearance, personality (affects all creatures), scav stats, slugpup stats, and slug pup food preferences. Id personalities affect all creatures including lizards. All you need is dev console to spawn creatures with specific ids. More aggressive personalities are better at fighting
@@BatFlightThylacine They didn't "generate" a scavenger with high stats. There are 3 billion available scavenger id's, most of which are unused( for understandable reasons ). They made a program to search that pile of id's for a scavenger with highest stats, and then they summoned a scavenger with that id.

I like how Rain World AI intentionally tries to break physics when trying to get to an unreachable place, as if it's self aware and knows that if it's persistent enoigh, it will eventually glicth through

Yeah I realized that midway through, I had assumed they weren't hurt since they didn't seem to act injured. But I could've been wrong.

how do you get safari to work so well? whenever any of the creatures i'm watching/controling goes through a pipe it always crashes my game :(
Umm if you have mods installed then it might be one of those that are screwing with safari mode. Otherwise I'd recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the game and DLC.

There was no slugcat in the arena.

How come the Lizard with lesser stats win? Is it entirely driven by rng?
I honestly have no idea. It could have something to do with other hidden stats that the mod Im using doesn't show. Lizards also have a Mean value which determines how actively the lizard will hunt a prey item. But I don't know enough about how the code works to say for sure if that applies to battles between lizards.
