Is there a way to set up the timer to go off? I've set mine to come on at 8, but could I schedule it to go off at 10? Or will it only go off at when it hits the temperature goal I have set?
hi no on or off just time and the item up want try setting lower temps like 14 at night

I have this unit and was all working fine, after the summer heating break. I did have to change the batteries in the remote. But now the Salus unit seems to be working - the RED light is on, so they are paired and the Green light comes on when more heat is requested, but the boiler is not coming on. I am presuming it's an electrical fault from the Salus base unit to the boiler, but I am a little unsure, as this was working fine last week. Any ideas?
Turn it from 5 to 25 degrees a few times and allow 20 seconds between up and down
Couple questions, for the time being i’m just controlling the temperature manually through the thermostat as i’m in most of the time. Would you suggest having manual mode on? I’m not entirely sure what the difference is....
Secondly, I turned the heat down to 16 when I went to bed last night and have woken up to the house at 21, why would that have happened?? Cheers.
Check your settings. 14 is better for night
@@timeintheuk sorry what am I looking for in settings? It seems to have a mind of it’s own with the set temperatures...
First set the time then the temp the day is choped up into 8 time zones. Last should be set at 14 deg and will run to the first time setting say 6 am

Hi, I set up the scheduler, but it didnt turn it on automatically. It was saying optimal start. I had to click on confirm button to start the heaters. How can I avoid that?

What temp do you have it set to. If its below room temp it will stay off
how do you turn the manual boost off and does it show up when you press it it just shows a hand but when you repress it still shows hand when on and when off
Press the 6th button to remove manual mode if the hand is there still try again

Thanks for great videos.. can I ask the schedules are they 1 on 2 off,3 on 4 off etc?... I've set mine as per instructions but often wake in the night with the heating on...! Am I doing it wrong.. its set to go off at 10pm...
Yes your wrong time and temp no on or off. 1 20 degrees required 2 16 degrees required 3 20degrees req 4 14 degrees . The last temp takes you throu to the next days 1 temp
Make a list of what you want it to do and I will transcribe if you like

I'm having a problem, I set it to 17 but it's 27 in here. The manual hand will not go away, have tried fast press and hold on the manual button
Press and hold button 6 but it must be on the home screen to work. So allow a foot 10 min for control to go thermostat to go to home screen. If all else fails turn the recever to off to stop the heating. Remove batterys for a clue of hours and you will need to reprogram after. Dont press the reset or you going to have issues pairing the 2 units
If I use Optimum start when it gets to the turn on time it flashes Optimum start but does not turn the heating on for another 50 minutes. Typical program P6 22:30 15.5 degr, P1 07:00 21 degr. Finally turns on heating at 7:52. If I turn Optimum start off it behaves like a normal timed T stat so wiring OK. Any ideas what could be wrong? Am I doing something daft?
Optimum start is about cutting heating bills and keeping heating off. Try turning this off
@@timeintheuk Thanks, I've got optimum start switched off at the moment and the T stat is switching OK, its only if I use optimum start that it misbehaves.
I bought it to save energy by using the optimum start feature. My boiler just has 2 wires to the T stat to switch it on or off, its not got opentherm . Does optimum start need opentherm to work ? Have I wasted my money?
@@terryrigden4860 or u can set you heating to come on 30 min before you want it on put quite simply it's all about keeping the heating off
Hi I’ve just watched your video and it was super useful I wanted to ask I’m having issues trying to change the settings on the thermostat it’s set to a different language which the previous tenant changed to I can’t seem to change it
Also I can’t seem to remove the hand symbol when I click the 6th button can’t get rid of it, any suggestions?
You can only remove the hand in the first screen ....have a coffee let it revert back to start menu's then quick press no 6
Download the instruction pdf and try to chose the options in the correct location or Google translate

Hey, how do I delete schedules on the thermostat I don’t need all 6 schedules i just want it to come on 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening, thanks in advance
Just set the same low temp for the zones u don't need you have to use em all remember time and temp not on and off
So schedule 1
8 am 20 deg
Shedule 2. 10 am 16 deg
Shedulr 3. 12 noon 16 degrees
Shedule 4 4 pm 20 degrees
Shedule 5 8 pm 20 degrees
Shedule 6 10 pm 14 degrees.

Hi. My thermostat was working until today it has stopped. It is still on but it will not pair with the receiver. I have turned the receiver off and I have factory reset the thermostat, is there any other way around this?
Never do a reset.just take baterrys out for half hour. Refit and try again.is it wired open therm or on off. Also movi g the bottom slider to man will get the heating going
@@timeintheuk sorry to sound dumb but I’m struggling to get it off the wall at the moment to take the batteries out lol god knows how the previous owners had it installed. Also it is connected to a switch along with the boiler, like a light switch, with an on off button.

The screen end is the thermostat. 2 small screws underneath. Losen them the bottom of the screen swings away from the wall top simply hooks on

First off u don't need to if correctly set . However there a number of ways if you have a combi select summer mode or turn rad temp to 0. Or select frost function on the roomstat . Or on the receiver next to the boiler slide the top slider to off and the red light will go out and I will have no heating . Hope that's usefull please like comment and subscribe to the channel

Remove Battery's and refit if the problem persists it's in need of replacement

Simply Chop your day into 6 chunks you can put the same temp into every segment if you like
@@timeintheuk I've done this, set all my temperatures to the coldest setting possible. But its got my radiators blazing hot still and I don't understand why.

I'm realy sorry but I need a hint to what I have done. Be sure it's set to auto on the receiver. And that the hand symbol is not showing. If it is press the 6th button. And make hand symbol go away. You can always boost down as well as up press the tick after doing this. I would recomend watching my vids to get the idea re settings. Also salus tec can be very helpfull during busness hours.

Look at the settings .set to a lower temp during the day and set to a higher temp when req .

Hi, I had to change the batteries in this, once I did it stopped working. I factory reset it and it’s still on the factory reset with all the icons on and won’t let me actually get onto the screen.

Remove batterys for half hour and try again
Also never factory reset its athe last resort. The unit will need pairing again now

Vids thats been gone throu on a couple of vids. But in short settings. Then shedule set times and temp for that period. No on or off just target temp. So set 14 at might and 20 when your in merry xmas
How do I turn off optuim start?
In the settings optimum start on off
No buttons working. Light always on. Hand stop icon always on. Radiators not heating. 22*Celsius on screen. Freezing inside. Please help.
Hand is override manual mode . Press the 6th button to remove normal functions . Also check for red light on receiver and the green light indicates demand .you can move bottom slider from auto to manual this will start the boiler while you resolve the issue . Always put back to auto when your all done
@@timeintheuk if I put the slider from auto to manual for the time being will the boiler be constantly running till I revert back to auto?. Does the boiler have an inbuilt thermo meter to know the current temperature and is it danger to do so. Mine is ideal combi boiler. Hand icon is not going. I reset the battery too. Thanks.
Roy James the boiler will run on its internal thermostat . Be sure to turn of before you go to bed . Otherwise it will be tropical in your house

Fran get your installer back it should not have been left like that the system has not been commissioned properly

If all else fails pull battery’s out and wait 10 min but will need to reprogram . Press number 6 swiftly and longer to see if it clears

Mine has been stuck on Language for over half an hour, I changed batteries because nothing was working, every symbol came up for like 10 minutes, then LANGUAGE and nothing else is happening

Unfortunately your talking like an engineer rather than a teacher so your instructions are incredibly difficult to follow.
FGS Slow it all down and teach methodically. I would suggest you write it down and work your way through it in a chronological order as that was just a waste of 10 minutes

~This is the worst wireless gadget around. It keeps going OFF and not pairing up. The house is FREEZING FFS
Yours could be faulty or there's interference. If you or its to far apart from the recever. Get your installer back if more than 12months old get onto salus for a new unit. The tec line is normaly helpfull

I have an old thermostat what was only connected to the boiler through 2 wires, that's it. Now I got this shit Salus RT520RF that require those 2 wires plus another 2 and a 220 socket to plug it in. That should be on the package, on the site, on the product description, before people purchase this. I don't have an extra socket to plug this in, as my old wireless one worked wired to the boiler
Wrong .read the instructions u can get away with 3 wires or 4 if u don't add a link take the power out the boiler I fit em all day .an extra plug is not allowed you can't have 2 power feeds onto a system .what boiler do u have ?
