What are yall thinking this set will do for the hobby overall?
People will buy and hodl lots of it, eventually they get bored and will sell, they need new stuff every X months.

I hope it's another Gen One dex order set, but with Dark Pokémon.
It likely won't be, but Dark 151 would be an awesome sequel to 151.
Than in another few years do a Gym Leaders 151 set, but include Red, Elite Four & Blue as well. "Red's Charizard" SAR would be dope.
I'm getting off track though, the Rocket's Briefcase cards finally getting an English release would be dope as promos for this set.

I’ve been wanting to start collecting the Team Rocket, Gym Challenge, and Gym Heroes sets. Maybe now is the time.
Yeah I personally have seen those sets start to trend up… I think now is as good a time as any…. Soon everything vintage might rise other than the super heavy printed first sets… gym sets are some of my favorite too.. I hate myself for not buying some of those 1st Ed’s already… Blaine’s charizard and Sabrina’s Gengar and Giovanni’s Nidoking and Misty’s gyarados are my top picks 😎🙏🏼
Tbh bro, I don’t think this will bring people back into vintage. I love vintage, but these modern full arts are too good. Like comparing cocaine to coca leaves.

IMO most Moder is crap. And let's be real most the Alt Arts are Garbage, besides the price per Card, half of the artworks are crap. If we are talking VALUE commons and uncommons of even VINTAGE HOLD VALUE. Talking ARTWORK, many commons and uncommons in modern have GREAT ARTWORK even though they are thrown in the garbage by those who say the LOVE modern but dont really care about artists artwork or the cards and just the value they hold. Hmmmm yeah modern is great, hahaha not!

I think they are going to give the people what they want, but I also think just the hype of this set will drive some vintage sets even more. How could you not wonder where it all comes from? The history of the early sets is important and shouldn’t be forgotten 😎🙏🏼

I tend to agree. The brilliant stars alt art Charizard got me back into the hobby after 15 years away. It made me nostalgic and I started collecting vintage to chase that feeling I had as kid. I hope this new set is a mix of all gens. Dark Garchomp or Light Flygon.... the options are endless.
That’s one thing I love about modern is that it brings collectors to the vintage side and BS Zard is soooo good one of my favorite alts ever 🙏🏼😎

If these leaks stay accurate to when the cards release, I am SO excited. I said after 151 I was going to be done with cards, but I actually really like a lot of the (regular) cards for Twilight Masquerade and whatever that new Fable set is called. I’m excited to get some of those this summer, and then hopefully next year these Rocket sets keep me going!
Haha just when you think you’ve gotten out they pull you back in 😂 but yeah I’m pumped but it’s still so far away we’re gonna be anticipating this set for a lifetime 😭
as much as I want it to I feel like it won't. If anything they will go buy more full arts like pokemon 151 or crown zenith than go back to vintage.

Honestly wont mind the set if they focus more on Gen 2 Rocket stuff like the admins and their aces in alt art forms

Whatever we get, I’m sure Pokémon has it handled. They usually find a good balance I just want to know if it’s going to affect the older sets value or not 🤷🏻♀️
@@orionsires Fortunately we do have some historical precedent like when Celebrations reprinted cards like shining Magikarp.
Makes sense, since they’ve already brought back “ex” cards, I wouldn’t overthink with this set. I believe it’ll be the same as before, just with “Dark” Alt arts (for some spice) which will be sort after in itself 🚀

I think with how far away it is people will be speculating for a while but we have seen the Persian so far and it’s nothing too wild so I think maybe there’s a chance people are over estimating the set but hey I’m still pumped 😎
I like the idea, I feel like they'll incorporate newer gens but the big hitters I think should be rocket pokemon like crobat, nidoking, and persian. Mewtwo better have a big hit as well.

I have really enjoyed SV so far more so then others but I'm excited for this rocket set. Hoping for a dark baxcalibur or dark dragapult as well as sweet some gold star action.
We’re all speculating on how they’ll go about this… I figure they might just go for older gen pokemon but would love for them to give us some modern spin too
This was the best news that came out this year for me. Finally I can save my money for the "glory" rocket set. I don't care if it's evolutions 2.0 with rocket cards I am going to buy A Lot.
I think it was refreshing for a lot of us and a nice surprise 😎

I bought 4 boxes 1st edition Team Rocket in July 2000. My son and I opened 3, so I still have 1 seal box, many 1st edition holo and non-holo cards, 1 uncommon set (24 cards) and 12-14 common sets (24 cards). My son would like to sell next week if he could. If not, we hold it longer time.
I think a good time to sell is when the modern team rocket set releases 😎

I'm thankful that, as a kid, I collected Team Rocket Returns. It's one of my favorites. Luckily, I kept my childhood collection.
That set released in 2004 right around my birthday but I wasn’t into it at the time the way I am now… damn shame! That’s amazing for you though fam! Happy you got to experience these older sets in a way most of us didn’t 😎🙏🏼
