    1) So was the fuel pressure falling during the "stock" pulls? nobody monitored it.
    2) So you checked the new S hose and it was clear.
    3) Intake manifold etc was changed.
The total power gain is not indicitive of the actual Vortec gain, since there are variables.

I wonder if your final number was down by a couple HP switching to the Cobra intake. I think the RPM probably makes a couple HP difference. Kind of a bummer changing horses midstream. Hard to nail down numbers when more than one variable is changed at a time. Very cool series, though. It is so awesome what is available nowadays where you can fairly easily add 100HP and keep it legal for those of us that get smog checked.

How much psi was the vortech putting out? My old procharger P600B would add 225 on a stock motor. Of course it would have like 18 psi, if you didn't run the air to air intercooler it would gain 3 lbs of boost. With twisted wedge heads. Holley system max II intake and blower cam it would pump out 12 psi after the intercooler.

    • @latemodelrestoration
      @latemodelrestoration  Před 4 lety +1

This kit is a non-intercooler kit and it makes between 8-10 PSI, we stayed conservative with the boost number, the head unit can produce more boost we just didn't push it to its limits.

Should have replaced the fuel filter during the install, also you mounted the MSD box upside down. So if you drive the car in the rain, the MSD box will fill with water NICE JOB. You also could have run the wiring in a way so as not to put it under the spare tire going to the T-REX pump. Next time take more time and more pride on an install.

Dude changed the electors. Put cobra intake and throttle body and full exhaust change and fixed fuel pump after first dyno and then claims that charger made 118hp? Bs

$4,700.00 for the kit and not even 400hp? Too much $$, there's cheaper horsepower out there. Plus, re-releasing a series of videos as a new video is lame.

So go buy the cheaper HP, anyone not a brokedick (aka not you) will drop the 6k to get a properly running centrifugal car.

Wish you didn’t gloss over the mounting bracket. The vortech instructions are terrible for this part.

LMAO. 375 horse. A Pontiac 400 stroked to 461 cubes puts out, naturally aspirated, and with a mild roller cam puts out just under 500 HP and 560 ft pounds of torque. And that's on pump gas. I love me a Fox Body but many engines can put out much more with less.

This motor could be stroked to 363 and produce over 500 hp. But all things being equal, with enough $$$ you can make 500 hp with almost any car motor.

@@WillC299 wrong you cant punch out a 302 to a 363 . You would have to swap a 351 and punch it out to a 363.

What a total waste of money go with a turbo kit people !!!I had this kit on my car I spent close to 3800 hundred dollars what a total waste… I put the whole kit together and my intake air temperatures were through the roof the belt kept on slipping it only made like 89 hp total waste of money…
I called- vortex to ask them question About my intake air temperatures and all they wanted to do was sell me a air to water cooler that was like $2000 more totally disgusted total waste …
Purchased a turbo kit never looked back at a supercharger ever again ..

Yeah I was really upset but life goes on sold the kit went with the turbo and making horsepower now I’m definitely not disappointed now. 668 rear wheel horsepower on 10 pounds of boost. Definitely a happy camper now. Turbo 7876 that turbo feels like a freaking freight train when it kicks in
