    Plotted on Complex Plane :
    Function :
    z(n+1) = z(n) + ((2000-n)^1.5/(3000-n))*e^( 2*pi*t*(cos(t*100)*sin(n*0.05+t*30)*10+t*10) - 1.8*n*t + pi/2 )*i
    For this animation, I used the following initial parameters :
    z(1) = 0 , iteration n = 1 to 2000 ,
    The animation starts at t = 0 and ends at t = 1.
    You can choose the number of iterations based on your GPU power. More iterations means more computation time.
    Z(1) sets the root of the curve. Z(1) = 0 means (0+0i), The Curve originates from the origin

    This should be shared in schools to help students grasp the concepts and get excited about the possibility math can provide. I always checked out as soon as graphing points was required.

      @reelmsy3831 Před 6 měsíci

      Except it doesn't help them grasp the concept. Well at least not for my brain, because although this adds to the hype factor the actual math will always be explained the old fashioned way nonetheless.

      So much this. U know what would've been a great lesson is to breakdown exactly what logarithm (?) Is used to generate each output as it mutates and let the kids play with the inputs to and equation to see how changing it effects the tangible output. Because that's what the upper level math classes fucking lacked was tangibility. Seeing how incredible this is makes me just pissed that I don't understand on a more deeper level how that magic works. I feel motivated as hell to learn math right now. I'm not gonna fucking do it because I'm 38 and busy adulting but if I was in a room every day where I'm gonna be hearing about math anyway? Shit, get this is schools now

    There is a certain magic to math that not enough people appreciate. The formulas and functions can be melded together to create things that are truly beautiful and open up concepts we had no real understanding of before, patterns we haven't seen, ideas we haven't thought of. When I was an educator, I wanted to impress this idea on my students, because math is something truly beautiful. Too many people seem to hate it and refuse to have anything to do with it. Thank you for putting this together.

      I believe that my aversion to mathematics stems from the way it was taught to me. I could only ever see it as an obstacle in my education that I had to get through over and over again, so I grew tired of it.
      I wasn't taught its beauty nor its uses until I left high school, and that was outside of college.

    The way the pattern moves at times seems like it has a tremendous amount of energy behind it, especially during the points when it seems to whip way way out. There's also something to it like an unstable but slowly decaying orbit. The extreme end of the line never seems to cross over the origin point. The knotted sections almost seem like moons or wells at times, and there's more energy as it gets closer and closer to the origin point.
