It would be fascinating if she made a series about her life, so we can see things from her perspective. Yes, she's not mentally well, which leads to, can we trust what she says, to be in any way true? I can't help but think he played a part in encouraging and enabling her in his life, when he could have done things a lot more differently. It's all very complex and difficult to understand how these two people actually helped each other in their lives, in a disturbing way, as they both share the same trauma in their early life. I guess what I'm trying to say is that, yes what she did was incredibly wrong, but he didn't end the situation straight away and waited a very long time before things started to escalate. Where they both to blame and in the wrong? I wonder if anyone else has this view or is it just me lol?
@@rosewest5168 good point, but he seems to be the sane one here and has plenty of evidence, so why would he make all this up? I do think he has empathy for her and realises himself, that he too became obsessed with her and the vicious cycle repeating itself. It would be good to hear the evidence against him too, as I'm curious to know what he sent and talked about with her, as she recorded everything. As I stated earlier, it would be good to know her side of the story, from her perspective aswell. He gave her false hope, which I'm sure added fuel to the fire.
@piphead For a show and he's said that he added things into it so what's real and what's based on truth? Because if it saying on Netflix that it's based on a true story people are now going after this woman thinking that everything is true in the show. Which I think is unfair. I also think it was unfair on Gadd to keep her in his life ...I can see why she would probably get the wrong idea or perhaps it was a close friendship in her mind. You can't keep someone in your life then says she's a stalker. So yeah I feel sorry for her. Reading her posts I think she's the type of person who sticks up for herself if she feels she is wronged and perhaps she has been wronged and now wronged again. Gadd said the actress looks the opposite to how the real Martha looks ....I disagree. I think he knew People would find out who the real people are. I dunno I look it it from every angle. My first thought though was if I had been seriously stalked years prior would I make a series about it knowing that it could all start again.

@piphead I agree. I've been reading her Facebook posts today. She's on there constantly it seems dishing the dirt and making some valid points but it's fascinating reading her thoughts. I do agree with Gadd though. She is funny, ballsy, vulnerable, but very opinionated, strong in a way and of course defensive.
She’s stalked two other people, one in parliament. I wouldn’t recommend looking her up but in her comment history she does tag and go on and on about the comedian. He has evidence of over 41k messages.

Oh yes but clearly elements of this show are almost 'too true' as it were, hence we have all this internet sleuthing regarding Martha and Darrien...
It didn't say based on a true story, it said "this is a true story".
