what people forget about: Him warning Fives like 3 times to stand down, Fives pointing a blaster at both him and his men

What you are forgetting is that the pistol he had has a stun setting that he had plenty of time to switch to during his warnings and all the time before hand
@@thepokeystormtrooper3585What YOU are forgetting is that the stun blaster has a very slow speed and would not be hard for a highly skilled ARC soldier such as Fives to have evaded and returned fire especially considering the considerable distance they were away from each other. Fox knew this and instead of putting the life of him, his men, or the chancellor (who was standing right next to him at the time) in danger he opted to put Fives down which was probably the best option. @@thepokeystormtrooper3585how would fox know that? It was a life or death situation for him in that moment, point a stun gun at a cop in the real world and see what happens.
I don't hate commander Fox he was just following orders and he is one of my favorite clone troopers in star wars I love his red armor

Your oversight requires correction.
I was expecting this to be from the perspective of the other clones but he's a clone who did his job. Fives pointed a blaster at Fox and that is a no go. Let's say Fox doesn't shoot Fives but ends up getting shot by him instead. The other Coruscant guards would have blasted Fives killing him because he just killed a clone COMMANDER in front of his own men. Regardless whether or not they liked Fox in their eyes, Fives had become someone who was willing to kill other clones. Chasing down and arresting Ahsoka, who at the time was a deemed a fugitive, was his job. He hasn't watched her grow into a character we love because he didn't serve with her and we see it from the perspective of the audience, not in universe in the role he's in. Lastly, letting those bomb droids go might have been a mistake, but from what I remember, they had their credentials in order so there realistically wasn't anything Fox could do. He had cool armour and did his job and tbh, I'll never understand the hate.
Fives wasn’t willing to kill clones at all. In the episodes earlier with fives on Kamino with AZ, not once does he shoot a clone trooper, not even stun them, when he definitely could’ve. Fives was simply defending himself and the information that he knew about the inhibitor chips, also fox pointed a blaster at fives first. Fives was also severely drugged by Nala Se still, and couldn’t think clearly, dont blame what happend on fives. Fox blindly followed Palpatines order to shoot fives, if fox actually put any thought into the situation, he would’ve realised that simply stunning fives would be better than killing his own brother who potentially had news that could change the course of the war. Also how do you know that fives didn’t set Rex’s pistol to stun and that he was simply going to stun fox?

@@venticocean8664 wouldn't that be what the blacked out actual visor is for? Like sun glasses? I guess when you don't want to see an enemy flanking you it's a great addition to your already narrow field of view
@@helygg8892 idk according to lore on what the attachments do, it says it helps narrow the vision for combat so that the light glare from other soldiers firing near won't distract, but fox is basically a police trooper so like 🤡 but yeah most of the things on troopers I'm pretty sure is just to look cool 🤷

Fox could be a bit of a dick, but he wasn't a bad soldier overall.
Meh, fox sucks. Sure, he followed orders, but he followed them blindly. Being a good soldier doesn’t just mean following orders, it also means to make the right decisions and to do what is in the best safety and interest of your men, especially when you are a Marshall commander (highest clone trooper rank). He blindly followed Palpatines order to shoot fives when he could’ve actually put some thought into his action and stun him instead of killing his fellow brother. Also, when Ahsoka escaped the prison and fox accused her of killing clones due to him witnessing her run past the dead clone bodies, couldn’t he have checked the security footage before making the drastic order to his men to track down Ahsoka and shoot to kill. I understand why he believed that Ahsoka killed the clones, but he should’ve made sure before ordering his men to kill a freaking JEDI. Fox just blindly followed Palpatines orders and never thought for himself, which lead to many stupid actions and orders being made. As a Marshall commander he should’ve done better, and he deserved to die the way that he died.
He makes completely logical decisions with the information he has. Stun is super inconsistent and much slower, meanwhile Fives is a highly trained commando who is going crazy and just attempted to assassinate the chancellor, and is currently holding two officers hostage, all the while refusing verbal warnings and reaching for a gun.

@@UkeGirl5555 All of your criticisms are in hindsight. With the knowledge he had he didn't really act out of line. The only reason he is hated is for killing Fives, despite the fact that Fives literally did it to himself. "He should have used stun" maybe Fives shouldn't have tried to shoot a squad of shock troopers? And stun mode in general is a massive plot hole in star wars especially with bad batch.

@@UkeGirl5555 In regards to stun mode, it's much slower and less accurate, and I'm pretty sure Fox cared more about his men than some random clone who went off the rails, attempted to kill his commander in chief, and is currently in the act of trying to shoot him and his men. "Free thought" he had no reason to question his orders, it's not like Fives wasn't acting crazy.
