Exactly. His tweet said nothing about if he knew the individual was a minor. Nick is touting "innocent until proven guilty," but I don't see any evidence from his tweet that indicates he knew. He knows now, obviously, that would have come out in the lawsuit that he won via settlement. WHY would Twitch settle with him and pay out his contract in full if he had broken the law? That makes literally no sense. If he were truly guilty of anything Twitch could have just ridden out the lawsuit and he likely would have been convicted of a felony which I'm sure would have been grounds to terminate the contract without a payout, but that didn't happen did it?
Mob mentality is making him guilty before any actual evidence comes to light. Anyone bandwagon-ing on assumed guilt should grow up and stop letting your emotions run your mouth.

I keep seeing this so I'll try to answer this simply, there has been no charges or legal issues bc if the story is correct, this girl was 17. Which is technically of legal age in most of the US, If no pics were exchanged that makes it LEGAL, but lightyears away from MORAL and 100% cause for him to be canceled at least. This sucks, but it happened as doc himself admitted we just need to accept it and move on without him.

Instead of making a public statement they paid doc off and had him sign an NDA and swept it under the rug. Rather than just tell the truth. These companies care about profits, and I’m sure if it came out that twitch didn’t do anything for 3 years it would’ve looked really bad for them in 2020.

Personally her being a minor doesn’t mean much to me. If a 17 year old wants to date a 23 year old for example, I don’t find too much of a problem with that…. Age of consent differs from country to country and state to state, so it doesn’t mean much. It has more to do with maturity level and just overall life experience than a number on paper….

The thing with doc, he said in the tweet that there were messages with a minor. He didn’t say he knew at the time they were a minor, or if he learned that information later on. There’s absolutely no way of knowing for sure. I’m not defending at all I’m just saying he didn’t say he knew at the time of the messages he was talking to a minor. However, he should have never even been messaging ANYONE, given the fact he’s married and had already been caught cheating before. So at the end of the day there is no excuse for doc. But I don’t think anyone can say definitively he knew at the time he was messaging a minor or if that info was given to him after the banning.
Underage is underage. The government made an age to be classified as an adult. The fucked up thing is ppl who are going crazy about this underage thing she was only 17 would be watching her twitch one year later as she turned 18😂

Let's not be naïve here. He is obviously not going to blatantly say he knew she wasn't of age because that would look a lot worse than it does now. It's better to keep the audience confused and leave more questions than answers on the table. On the other hand, if he truthfully didn't know her age that would be the first thing he would say in his tweet to clear his name and image because that's all these streamers and celebrities care about.

@dc7303 The only parties that would be able to speak would be Dr Disrespect and Twitch, neither of them would be able to speak because of legal obligations therefore he probably wouldn't be able to say anything about age.

Bloke never once said, I had no idea she was underage, regardless, the man is married and a father, preying on a 17 year old girl when he was 35.
