    Very cool review. I got the DDJ SB3 (the one with the auto scratching) this past fall and I've really enjoyed it. It's inexpensive, travels easy, compact and gets the job done for my use.

    I don’t want to be one of those hater DJs that complains about everything like the Rev7 haters. This would literally be a PERFECT controller for me if they put the beat jump buttons in the bottom left corner of each deck like the DDJ 1000. It would great for cueing up music inbetween gigs. I’ll still probably cop one thođŸ‘đŸŸ

    The most recent Numark Mixtrack Pros also have the FX paddles. I saw this more as direct competition to that line since those are highly regarded entry controllers.

    Unless I'm mistaken the Numark Mixtrack Platinum FX was the first entry level controller to have the effects paddles, in line with the Rane design which to me is what Pioneer copied?

    • @rjmn1
      @rjmn1 Pƙed 2 lety +1

      First paddles were the djm 909, so it's actually Rane and inmusic that copied tbh

    They should have threw some XLR outputs on this. Not feeling those RCA's but for beginner in your bedroom I guess that's fine.

    On a more serious note, have they tried to fix a problem that doesn’t exist by going into battle mode. Obviously with Digital, you can’t knock the tone arm so no need to move it out of the way, but now the pitch control is at the top, isn’t there a danger of catching the platter when changing pitch?

  • @SerafinTirado471
    @SerafinTirado471 Pƙed 2 lety +1

    Now for me. No tone arm to get in way.. Do the mirror format. Pioneer looks like they fast track that out because everyone else Came out with motor years ago.

    How they gonna make this the ddj 400 replacement though, one is a club style layout controller and one is a scratch dj/. Battle style layout controller. I’ve been trying to get my hands on a 400 because they are being discontinued and every place I talk to link me this controller! Wtf is pioneer doing replacing a club style layout for this?
    The 400 is such a popular low cost beginner dj entry controller. I don’t even understand why they discontinued it
    They could of introduced this controller while keeping the 400 on the market

    Yup, reason why the Rane One looks so off center, cause the pitch control wasn't in battle style. I feel Rane messed up on that by not centering the jog wheels like they did on the Rane twelves.
    The Rane One MKII will hopefully be better, allegedly đŸ€«

    Only get this if you're into scratching.
    But even then it's pointless.
    You can scratch on any dj kit now.
    The point of battle style layout is to keep the arm out of the way when using record players.
    So if you don't plan on sticking with a stupid sideways layout when upgrading ^ hear my point because you'll soon want something normal.

    “Same FX as RANE one”
..but nowhere comparable to the RANE one lmao. Not even a conversation. RANE one is pro gear, basically 2 turntables (or mini RANE twelves), RANE one has pro inputs/outputs, pro akai pads, is NOT bus powered, RANE one is built for professional scratch style DJ’s. This little pioneer Rev1 is cool don’t get me wrong, and I will grab one to practice scratching on my coffee table, but it’s extremely “entry level” in every way, where the RANE one is pro level in every way. Not even comparable. Rev1 uses Serato dj LITE for a reason. The jog wheels are 2 inches smaller than RANE one’s 7’’ motorized platters. This is a non comparable situation. Your devaluing your channel by making such statements.
