That sound, makes you wanna watch the intro to Cannonball Run.
I am currently re reading Sunday Driver by Brock Yates. Bless him he innitiated all that craziness
@@ninja12lawbreaker Ill look into it!
Thanks
Brilliant. I often watch it for the smile factor.
That Rolls Royce / Ford calipers story.. Wooo !
Also the whale oil in the paint ! My surprise is summed up in that old saying " Whale oil beef hooked!"
@iamspyvspy must of meant zeypher and the German P7 as the granny came out in 72
@iamspyvspy yeah, they probably meant Taunus P5 and P7A/P7B which were the predecessors of the mk1 granada in germany.
@iamspyvspy likely to have been the Ford Zodiac the top of Fords Range or the lower Zephyr.
My Mom had a MK3 Zodiac which was resprayed in British Racing Green & re Chromed. Sold in 1973 when she died.
Wish we still had it.
It reminded me of the old syllogism:
'There is nothing better than a Rolls Royce. A Ford is better than nothing. Therefore, a Ford is better than a Rolls Royce!'
Love that copper colour! Great to hear Les' Scouse accent too!
Ahh - that copper-metallic Countach at the end is so gorgeous! The last 10 years or so, there has been a boom in supercars, but none of them speaks to me like the Countach do - the eternal supercar.
#33
Lamborghini Wow!
You have got to see the first car.
Then
Black
Then Colorado Copper
Then an off road.
Then Red Ferrari....
Tyrrell 👍🏼
In the USA T's & P's means Thoughts & Prayers, quite apt for an Italian classic car's vital signs really
When he puts his foot down in the Countach that grin priceless the sound a symphony what an experience
Ian, it must be a tough job having to test drive all these dream cars
but ‘somebody’s got to do it! ‘ 😊
Thank you for a little trip into your world. 👍
yeah but he has to fix them too, which does require a lot of skill and I d imagine a bit of frustrating moments
@@fabreezethefaintinggoat5484 and a BIG cheque at the end. World class skill costs.
"time to see if this Countach is a Countach...." VROOOOOM "OH YES!" LMAO Love it!!
Oh my. Your face when you slam the gas.. priceless. I can tell by it when you smile/crince like that heheheeee.
Love the paint on the Lambo 109, looks beautiful
The length of that cars 1st gear...... just awesome. Proper old school supercar
That light blue metallic is absolutely divine
The Countach, what an absolute spaceship, love it!
I thought I had my dream job when, at the age of 16, I was accepted as an apprentice by the local Ferrari/Porsche/Mercedes dealer. Those Young guys working for Iain are very lucky indeed.
Countach is absolutely modern style. More than this. There is nothing comparable. I want a countach with modern engineering.
"As I shall now demonstrate" I love every part of this video Ian. You give your viewers and fellow car enthusiasts so much to take in. Keep up the fantastic work!
My Sunday morning is now complete, thank you
Did you go to morning mass?
The 25th anniversary edition is a beautiful car, probabily my favourite, but... The first Countach, made more than 20 years before, that is a work of art. We sould thank Mr. Gandini who designed it.
I love the rapport this man has with his crew!
Tyrrell's workshop one surely one of the seven wonders of the world. Eye candy as far as the eye can see -
“As I shall now demonstrate!” Love it! Thank you!!
Yeah, make that a banner in the shop.
That copper Countach is quite possible THE most beautiful car I've ever seen. I remember in the mid 80's I had a magazine that had a special Lamborghini issue, and there was a copper with gold wheels Countach just like this, it was my favourite. I wouldn't be surprised if it is THIS very same car.
Hats off to the cameraman, when you floored it in the Countach he got some great engine footage, god knows how he managed to hang on though.
I'd just like to thank you, Tyrell, for your work, and the way you're passing it on to the next generation. I so appreciate it! David Pearce, Fredericksburg, Va., USA.
Thank you!
Criminally under subscribed channel 👍
I wonder why so many folks are concerned about other people's subscribers.
He's only been doing it one year and has 100k subs. That's incredible!!
Just got one more here.
Thanks Iain, nice to meet with your team again.
That light blue really suits that Lambo, very good decision to bring it back!
A TON better than red. A gentleman’s colour.
So nice to see these beautiful light tinted interiors; to my eyes, a lovely quality beige/tan/sand/ivory leather gives a more luxurious and classic atmosphere than black, which is what you see so much these days in high end cars.
Wow, now, this is my favorite car of all time, always has been. That color is fantastic and as usual, you guys did a great job. Thanks for all your content.😅 Rochester, New York.
I absolutely love that 350GT. The body design is just sublime.
Totally agree. I loved it the first time I discovered it on this channel. TBH I liked the previous color (bordeaux) a lot, even better than the new/original blue metallic. But it is unfortunately not my car so it doesn't matter ;-)
23:04, even after all these years that shape still looks out of this world gorgeous.
Fantastically well made video and wonderful cars! This can stand up to anything being made by BBC or Amazon Prime! Thanks for sharing.
Or Discovery.
The pop’s crackle’s and bangs on the Californian Copper Countach can’t be replicated as so many try to do with their exhaust systems, valves and switches.
Beautiful and great colour. Thanks for sharing the update. Remember seeing a LM and was in awe of that too.
Brilliant Video 👍🏻
Bravo! thats the power and lovely sound of the Lamborghini V12. I love it. The Countach color combination, rims with the interieur is amazing. 👍
Hi Iain, I love the "music" during your test drives...😂😉👍
If ever I'm feeling a bit low, I'll look for the intro scene to Cannonball Run - either 1 or 2 - both work for me :)
Now I know why I never see a countach on the roads, they're all at mr tyrrells!
You wait years for the right Countach, then five come along all at once.
hahahaha
I guess you don't live in the "right" neiborhood ! Like me too ! 🤣🤣🤣
Love the smoke coming out of the exhaust at the end of video. The owner will love that too..
Yes, not normal...
Can't give you enough thumbs up. Great videos gentlemen.
The blue on that GT is stunning!
I just came back from a three week holiday in the south of France. Seeing I can catch up two Harry's Garages and one Iain is almost as good as being in on holiday.
what an incredible sunday morning: a grand prix, a Harry's garage video, and now this!
Far more interesting than the Grand Prix
I have to say I want to work at this workshop, it's amazing!
"we have five Countach in the workshop at the moment"......legend!!
I dread to think what the business insurance premium must be.....
Two black Countaches are seen in the background at the end of the clip
1960's Mercedes-Benz 600 also had 2 calipers per front axle. Another great episode. Thank you Iain and your trainee's. Great passion.
CD in New Hampshire 👍🇺🇲
Happy Birthday to me!! WOW!! What a sound....taps wide open on a "Blimey" V12 4 ltr. NOTHING compares!! Another childhood dream realised......on my 61st Birthday, no less!! NEVER too late for such an exhilarating sound!! Next bucket list item....to hear one in the flesh, and who knows....maybe even get a drive in one, if I'm truly blessed!!
What a beautiful colour combination on that Countach!!
Iain, when I created "Old School Lambos", it was out of my passion for the Countach. In the 2 years since I stared the group, I have seen a few Countach that have really caught my fancy, and I have to admit, the rame Colorado Countach is at the top of that list. Thank you so much for doing this video with that Countach, I thoroughly enjoyed it!!!!
Thanks Shawn- keep up the good work too!!😎
I'm halfway around the world and obsessed with this channel! So happy channels like this got me through quarentine!
..less comparable to a You tube car vid, more like a prime time car show. another wonderful vid!!
Great video Ian, I am in heaven when I watch these videos .................. truly entertaining and enjoyable to see the process of perfection being achieved. "Perfection before profit" its a rare thing to see these days.
How lucky is the young fella to be surrounded by all that knowledge and craftsmanship. As an ex mechanic I hope he recognizes how lucky he is. I wish I had that caliber of mentor-ship when I was an apprentice.
Really looking forward to the next video ...................... keep em coming.
I have a book "Lamborghini" by Jean-Marc Borel and at the very back is an LP 500S in the Copper colour and it looks sensational, far more dramatic than the classic red. Modern Lamborghini's are often painted in bright, in-your-face colours, but to see a copper Countach in the early 80's must have been outrageous.
Very impressed with the paint job on the 350GT much much better than the maroon red before, brings the car back to life. Amazing story as always around this car. It must have been such an exciting time in those days to bring out a piece of art like this, probably mostly hand built as well. Thank you for sharing!
Another great video, loved the filming of the Countach, both on the road and under the hood..! Fabulous, watching Iain smile as he floors the throttle, fantastic..More please ..
The best part of your videos is your quality audio come time to experience the test drives 👍👍👍👍👍. Unlike zillion dollar budget movies which cockup actual mechanical noises and exhaust music. Iain your production crew are to be credited some day in one episode. Show how you create the magic of realism. Cheers ✌️🇺🇲
2000 plus likes, only 2 dislikes....shows how loved you are mr tyrrell
I envy you working on these beautiful supercars I adore the Countach and yes I was one of those that had the poster on my bedroom wall, would love to own one.
"So, this will be back together..." *checks watch* -- I had to pause from laughing so hard. :-) 14:39
Great to see a new member of the crew.
Charming Ian as always and lovely boss i think who values his workforce and such a lexicon of knowledge so many stunning pieces of Italian exotica
I love the copper and tan interior countach, my favorite color combo. I've had similar color combos on vehicles because of this color combo on this vehicle.
Thx Mr. Tyrrell
"The car is rusting away while you cheerfully drive it down the road."
LOL! Great Sunday belly laugh, Iain, you should be on stage.
Just wonderful!
Ps that description fits every Aston Martin ever made, including mine!
I was grinning from ear to ear watching Iain road test that beautiful copper-coloured Lambo. Great channel.
Thank you👍👌😉
Wow & wow 👍
Iain - great video! Normally I soak your videos up without commenting. This video is a wonderful counterpoint to the single car / project videos. Although you’ve introduced us to several of the craftsman in your shop before, this video seems to introduce more of them. This is a wonderful way both of highlighting their skills and of making the environment of your shop more ‘real’ for us.
Thank you for your expertise and your videos.
Lucky young guys to have those mentors! Future is bright.
Yet another quality video from Mr T.
Both my dad & late brother were time served coach painters who passed on to me a keen eye for good paintwork. Whoever Iain Tyrell is using to paint his cars, they’re absolutely at the top of their game.
You guys are so lucky to be surounded by all those beauties ! Thx for sharing
What a color!
Hearing you put the foot down at the end was the highlight. Such a beautiful Lamborghini.
Better than anything on the box. Thank you. A education as always.
What I wouldn't give to visit your workshop Iain you've got the best job period
More Countach !!!!!! That copper color on the Countach is amazing, I've never seen that. Can't wait to see Harry's engine removal. Great Video!
There really is nothing better on CZcams than this channel. Thanks again
sat here grinning at the sound wow.
Gee - no pressure on the next generation! We just will ask you about rebuild of a 70-ties Lamborghini engine rebuild! What a great promise to provide this opportunity! I admire anybody taking the challenge of this opportunity. Seize it and go for the idea these few guys have intended in the 60ies. Thank you Iain and thank to your team, you Re georgious! Cheers from Germany, Holger
Not every car looks that incredible in copper - the Countach definitely does!
What a brilliant communicator Iain is. Engaging, supremely knowledgeable and passionate about his cars. I've learned so much on this channel. They always say you never forget a great teacher. If Iain taught kids they'd be the best of the best. Brilliant!
Thank you, Ian et al. Another great video to watch after a cold wet winter week on site.
I almost need a glass of champagne with this catch up of of projects. Well done !! Cheers
That Countach is so lovely.
The most addictive CZcams channel ever. So much knowledge Iain is prepared to share. I absolutely love watching and listening to his incredible depth of engineering, trivia and car facts. 🏆🏆🥇🥇
Iain, thank you for another wonderful workshop video, showcasing your breadth of knowledge on classic cars, your highly skilled technicians with their various ongoing projects & of course, that fabulous copper coloured Countach!! What a great job youve got!👍
I'm in the US, and just watched the Conservative Party ministers talking about Covid before this - looking like a series of Taliban hostage videos! This, in contrast, is a true expert speaking with mastery of his craft. Lolz.
That 350 GT is my lottery car . Stunning. The only pigskin I want is crackling with my roast pork and apple sauce. Marcus had his hand ooop that dash like James Herriot up to his elbow in.. What really comes across here is how innovative and adventurous Lamborghini were..
This channel is literally magic
Wonderful cars, amazing craftsmanship, a joy to watch.
Absolutely loved this episode!
Labo 4x4 💕💕
Especially loved the Lambo'Engi'Cam' Wooe 👌👌
Azura Metalisato is a wonderful colour for such an iconic body shell.
It's great the way Iain interacts with his team at the workshop; there's obviously a very good camaraderie there. The Colorado-copper, coloured, Contach does look quite dashing.
Beautiful color in and out on the 350 GT. Wonderful. Much better fit than that chateau red. The car's styling is coming out in this color, big way. Good you preserved the patina inside.
Just done a delivery next door to you're place. Was in ore to say the least. First time I've ever seen a countach....wow!!!
Copper LP400S Countach with gold telephone dial wheels, my personal favourite spec Countach of them all. Same as the first Countach I saw in Monaco in the early 80's.
Wow..Just got to the end of the video..That must be the most beautiful Countach I've ever seen... it's a cliche to say, but the thing still looks modern when in traffic... Age hasn't diminished her beauty.
Hearing that wonderful engine symphony…it’s almost like Iain and his team know what they’re doing 😁
Almost…..😂
Great video very good to see someone who clearly isn’t a natural driver enjoy the car. 👍
Ian that Lamborghini 350 GT looks stunning. I really love the the blue colour. It's really good to see you employing apprentices. I started my production engineering career as an apprentice (studying engineering at night). It's my view that engineering businesses have a duty to train the tradesmen of tomorrow. You have one of the best jobs in the world 😁😆😜🤭
Your Ford/Rolls Royce story was interesting. I worked for several years at British Motor Corporation Australia/Leyland Australia. I worked on the infamous P76 amongst others. We had many similar stories.
Everything Iain does is so measured and precise, tinkering with old cars in art form, just beautiful. I would kill to be 16 again and an apprentice with with Iain, 10 years with him and a great fascinating career awaits.
What a good day at work today though,, really enjoyed the video,, brilliant those young fellas are blessed to be able to learn the skills you're workshop has,, with the great talented team there ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️from Northern Ireland greatly appreciated
