In this episode, Iain takes us on a fascinating walkthrough of some of the ongoing classic car restoration projects that have been quietly progressing in the background.
Iain chats with interior trim expert Craig about the intricate work being done on a Ferrari Daytona. Craig has meticulously removed the old, sun-bleached "mousehair" cloth and replaced it with a stunning new one that perfectly replicates the original. The seats have also been expertly recovered, with new foam added to improve driver support and comfort.
Continuing in Craig's Corner, we revisit the BMW E9 3.0 CSi featured in a previous video. Craig showcases his craftsmanship by converting a set of left-hand drive mats to right-hand drive, including a clever reworking of the rubber pad and some intricate sewing.
Next, Iain provides an update on the Series 1 Lamborghini Espada. This rare car, one of just seven made, has been undergoing significant mechanical and interior restoration work and is now nearing completion. We're excited to see this beauty back on the road soon!
Right next to the Espada is the four-wheel drive Jensen FF, a frequent feature in recent Workshop Catchup videos. Alex is set to fit a new Edelbrock carburettor, and once the car is in top running condition, we might even do a dedicated video on it.
Finally, Iain takes a look at a channel favourite, the Ferrari F40. This legendary supercar is almost complete, with only a set of new fuel tanks causing a slight delay since Ferrari is currently not manufacturing them. However, it's looking incredible and is nearing completion. Won't be long before Iain is driving it.
